The small ship was dancing on the thounderous waves gracfully as its owners, it was headed toward a Mercant ship that was rumored to be carrying an important Laird. The Captian of the ship stood at the head of the ship her long black hair flying behind her, her first mate sat on the railing of the ship next to her making sure she had all her weapons secured on her and she smiled at Jadious. The tiny pixe like girl looked like a spirt with her starlight colored hair and pale skin and the cream colored loose tunic shirt and matching leggings.

Where Tempest was the 'Bloody Spirt', Jadious was the 'Killer Beauty', that was what the Merchants called them, what the people called them. They told the crew their orders and silently got to work, the Merchant ship was quite and they thought, 'Maybe for once no one will die.' but then the alarm rang, quickly the deck was slippery with spelt blood and rain, Tempest was snecking along helping where she could but trying to get to Jadious who was fighting the Laird and the Captian of the Merchant ship at the same time. Knocked off balance she saw a smiling man with a large blade standing over her.

Jadious sends a final blow with the butt of her sabor into the Lairds haed and with the same swings manages to chop the captians head off. Smiling she turns to look for Tempest only to see her about to be impailed on the end of a mans sword. All she could do was scream.

Suddenly a sharp motion made the smiling man fall, a large body had tumbled into him and Tempest quickly sat up and pulled her own knife out. The man, or boy really looked at Tempest and she recognized him as the Cabin boy, he also was a 'spy' when the ship had 'guests'. She nodded and looked around her to see that the batle was dying down and that her crew had done its job. Jadious she saw was dragging the Laird with the help of a few other women and the Weapons master over the the Bloody Amathist. "Lets go." She said to the boy with a small smile.

Marco followed after the rest of the pirates as the Laird was dragged off, taken away on the rolling deck to the pirate ship. The air smelled of gunsmoke and blood, burning his nostrils. He had been at sea nearly all his life, but there was something about battle. Something about the blood and death and chaos. Something about the whirling violence of it all.

He...liked it.

He never would have said so to anyone else. But there was nothing that got his blood pumping the way a fight did. It wasn't so much that he liked seeing people die...it was that he liked seeing people die and knowing it wasn't HIM. That this chaos that had taken so many others had spared him, to do it all over again.

Battle fire was still pumping through his veins as the Laird was taken below and he carried a skin of rum to where Jaidous had paused to rest. He wasn't sure why he had saved her. He wasn't known for selfless acts, but there was something about her. He respected her, certainly, but he'd respected Pierre too, and hadn't thrown him out of the way of that exploding magazine. No, it was something else. Maybe her beauty.

He almost laughed as he realized he might be in love, or something like it, to care enough about this girl to try to save her.

"Hey," he said, offering the rum. "You okay?"

Tempest was surprised when the boy followed her, he was known to be a loner but here he was offering her rum. Disliking the taste she normal turned it down but here she needed some and took it with a oddly bright smile. Sitting down and leaning agianst a wall she relaxed and felt numb and she knew that she was in shock. "Thank you for saving me. It was diffently...unexpected." She whispered to him, her voice smooth and melodic. It was one that people would imagian singing songs instead of calling orders.

After making sure the Laird was locked in a chamber below decks Jadious practicly ran to her friend, pulling the girl into her lap and cried. "Oh...Thank the Goddess!!" She said breathy like. She rocked the small girl as she calmed herself. "Thank you...You can have a place on my ship if you want it." She whispered to the man standing near them.

You need to get cleaned up" she told both looking at the blood stains on Tempests light clothes, skin and hair. Then to the tall boy whose clothes should signs of needing wash. Jadious looked down at herself and made a face, her clothing might be dark but you could still see the blood and gore on her clothing and could feel it on her skin. "The room next to yours Tempy is empty give it to him." She smiled and patted the small girls cheek and went to her large chambers not too far from Tempy and the new boys. She pulled some clean water into her brass tub and light the fire under the tub, stepping in she sighed deeply and knew she would have to deal with the laird in the morning.

Nodding to her best friend Tempest took The guy to his room and got his bath ready, she was kinda in shock. She had came so close to death today and she was starting to pull into herself. "This is your room...I think there are blankets in the trunk and candels with a flint... I can get you clean clothes later...Ummm..." She rambled and started to feel tears on her cheeks she had a lost look on her face she quickly stumbled out of his room and tripped out side the door shaking as the reality of what had almost happened sank in fully.

Rather than climbing into the bath, he chased after her. Seeing her stumble, her shuddering frame, he couldn't just leave her as she was. He wrapped his Ames around her from behind; an I stimctive gesture. He hadn't had to comfort anyone since his sister, a long time ago, but he hoped her could remember how. His arms wrapped around her in comforting embrace, strong and steady.

"Easy there," he said softly in her ear. "Easy. It was bad, but it's over now. What could have happened didn't. You're not hurt, not badly. You're here, you're safe, and you're alive. And that's a wonderful thing. Also, I think you could use the bath more than I could right now."
