Jayde looked up at the sky as she walked. Gradually, it was growing darker. Though she had been walking for nearly three hours, only two cars had passed her, neither of them stopping. She sighed as she continued on. The only belongings she had with her were the clothes on her back, and her wheeled suitcase which contained only a few items of clothing, a hairbrush, and a toothbrush.
She shivered as she walked, the cool breeze chilling her. She certainly wasn't dressed in the appropriate attire considering her situation. Her low-cut tank top certainly didn't cover much, showing a generous amount of her c-cup breasts. Her jean shorts didn't do justice either. The outfit certainly flattered her, which was what she had aimed for when she put it on, but at that moment she could care less what she looked like. She wished that she had packed some warmer clothes, but the things in her bag were just as lacking as the ones she was wearing.
There hadn't been any signs of a town nearby. No cars, no people, no buildings. She let her mind wander to the previous events of that day. Everything had been fine that morning. Her and her boyfriend were on their way back from a vacation at his uncle's cabin in the mountains. They had a falling out when he noticed $20 missing from his wallet when they stopped to pay for gas. She suggested that he had left it at the hotel, but he insisted that she had taken it. After about an hour of driving and arguing, she told him to stop the car. She needed to get away from him. She thought that it would be best to allow both of them the time to cool off. She got out of the car and walked to the other side of the road, giving him his space. The last thing she expected was for him to throw her bag out of the car and drive off. She ran after him, screaming, throwing rocks. Thinking back on it now she realized it was a stupid reaction on her part. It didn't accomplish anything.
Jayde sighed as she continued on, unsure of what to do or where to go. She had tried to find her way back to the gas station, but that didn't work out in her favor either. Even if she did make it to the gas station, it wasn't like there was anything she would be able to do. She didn't have money or anyone to call for that matter. A few minutes later, she saw headlights coming up behind her. Dropping her bag and stepping out into the road, she began to wave her hands in the air. By then it was almost dark, and the last thing she wanted to be doing was walking alone all night, even if it meant accepting a ride from a stranger.
