It was a ridiculously nice day out. In fact, some people at Sunrise Summer Camp (the Camp that almost everyone agreed was another word for a loony bin that happened to be fun) thought that it was way too nice for the mood in this place. Emily Roberts was one of those people. For one, they had forced her to eat some terrible guck earlier that had made her want t throw up, and she still felt a bit sick. Secondly, she was sad, being around these nut jobs made her want to cry. Her last roommate had decided to off herself. It was something that they tried to prevent from happening. But when someone was adamant about something, they were going to do it.

And so now, she was off to a new room (‘They have to get the bloodstains of the carpet,’ she told herself in a morosely humorous way) with a new roommate. As she walked into the room at around four at night, a small bag on her back, she couldn’t help but evaluate her new roommate. And she couldn’t help but wonder, with curiosity, if this one was going to do the same thing.

Ander Camille Ludon had just arrived at camp that evening. Her brother Joshua drove her down to her new home for however long it took them to 'fix' her, as if she were broken or something. She knew it wasn't Joshua's fault though. It was that stupid nurse. The hospital had been warned by her brother but they were stupid enough to assign a male nurse to her anyways. She should be the one threatening to press charges, but Josh said that wasn't how things worked. She was willing to listen to him. Josh had always been right about everything thus far. Hell, if she'd only listened to Josh about her father then she wouldn't even have to go to this stupid camp, and she wouldn't be in crutches, or have a cast on her right leg and left arm. Josh had hugged her, and told her how much he loved her, and that he would come visit, which she knew was true, but she had to admit that she was upset that he took the side of that dumb ass nurse and the idiotic hospital who were the real ones at fault. He told her to try and socialize, which was definitely harder for her after the incident, which she refused to talk about, happened.

She had to admit that she would miss her brother, and the dance studio, and everything else that she was so used to. After saying her goodbyes, Ander, or Andy as Joshua called her, was shown to her new room, which was more of a small cabin, it had a living room type foyer area when she first walked in, two bedrooms which were right next to one another, and a bathroom area. There were sheets over the door frames, probably meant to provide some form of privacy since the bedrooms had no doors, probably in an attempt to discourage the attempt of hanging oneself with the use of a bed sheet and a door knob. "Oh look I have the suicide suite. Complete with a beautiful bedroom, and a distinct lack of doors, but hey I have this lovely sheet so I suppose it's all good." She said sarcastically as the woman helping her with her things laughed at her statement. She couldn't help but smile as well. It was a rather entertaining statement after all. The cabin was very nice, and so were the rooms inside them. Whoever had funded this camp obviously spared no expense to ensure the comfort of the patients admitted here. There was even a rather nice and comfy looking couch and set of chairs in the foyer area of the cabin.

After she finally got the last of her things put away and her room looked like it might belong to someone now she decided to go lay down on the couch and read, maybe cover up with a blanket and take a nap. She grabbed a blanket from the little broom closet that was in the small hall way and covered up as she lay down on the couch and read. She ended up dozing off after she got a few pages into one of the many crime novels that her brother had given her to read on her stay here. This was exectly where she was when her new roommate into the cabin/room as well, curled up asleep on the couch with a book in her hand, her blue hair resting gently on her face kind of obstructing the view to her eyes.

Emily’s hand rested on the cabin door for a minute. She hadn’t been told anything about her new roommate. No name, no age, no reason that she was here; just a quick word oj the fact that she would have to leave her old room. She looked down at her arms, which where adorned with too many rubber bracelets to count. The plastic actually did the job of making her skin practically invisible. Vanessa had always told her so. She had always helped her hide her arms; mainly because Emily often returned the favor. In retrospect, that had been a very bad idea. Ignoring the weight that had just settled in the stomach, she opened the door.

It was nice here. She had to give them credit. It was super nice here. The lighting wasn’t too bright, yet she could still actually see. The air conditioning worked, the furniture was stain free. Hell, the room even came with a sleeping girl. She would like to see a hotel beat that. Emily assumed that this girl would be her new roommate as she hadn’t the age or air of a nurse or counselor. She spotted the casts. Had she gotten in some sort of fight, or fallen, or tried to jump from somewhere? Emily swallowed with a bit of difficulty at the thought. She could still remember the blood, and the smell… and the general creepy feeling that one got when they were around death for too long.

Letting the girl sleep, Emily pushed her way through the sheets that gave the young camp-goers some privacy. She, by sheer luck, found the right room and started unpacking. She didn’t’ have much. There was some clothing, a ring that Ryan had given her before the breakup, and a stuffed puppy that she called Muffin. She sat down on the pillow less, blanket less bed and just sat there; Muffin held tightly in her arm.
