Okay this one has been on my brain for a while and is now taking over with a demand of being played.
Setting: Urban or Historical.. w/e
Plot: A young woman is walking the beach one morning collecting shells and whatever other goodies last nights storm has left. After rounding a bend into a small cove, she discovers the unthinkable tangled amidst the flotsam. A merman about her age has been beached in the storm. A boat house on her family's property would make the perfect place to hide him. Perhaps the boathouse is already her little hangout away from the world's drama to begin with.
What starts as simply harboring someone until they can return to life as usual turns into a unique friendship that only grows fonder as he takes back to the sea. For he would continue to visit her little boathouse in secret hours to exchange tales of life in two totally different worlds that perhaps aren't so different in the long run.
Open-ended to go anywhere.
