Evan panted as he dashed through the dark streets, water splashing from a puddle as his foot pounded into it, followed shortly by many more footsteps. He knew he should've taken a cab rather than deciding to walk home through the city alone. But no....he had to think of saving a little money and doing some walking....and now here he was running, for what felt like his life. The group of men had demanded his wallet and when he refused then out came the knives. Rather than doing the sensible thing and just handing his wallet over however, Evan had panicked, just turned and ran.

He had long since just thrown his wallet at the group, but it was no good. They wanted more than money now, they wanted blood, his blood, for daring to deny their first demand. Even worse, Evan had ran into a part of the city he really didn't know, and he was running through unfamiliar streets in virtually no light, until the inevitable finally happened. Evan took a wrong turn, running straight into a dead end alley, every side surrounded by buildings. He ran near straight into the back wall of the alleyway, turning and looking as the group entered the alleyway, trapping him completely. His heart was pounding in his chest so hard and fast he thought he was going to have a heart attack. "Oh god....oh god please....please I...I'm sorry I....please.....oh god....oh god...."

Shadow watched through the shadows, it was always fun to watch the people in the real world, and how they acted. He smirked to himself as he saw the teen make a run for it and he licked his lips, following easily through the shadows until he reached a dead end. Oh, they always made that mistake didn't they. He kept close, looking over Evan for a moment before he started to grow curious. He was good looking to say the least, something seemed different about this male. He looked at the threat for a moment before he stepped out of the shadows. At first he was more of a mist than an actual being. The mist moved around Evan before grouping together in front of him and he grinned, gazing at the threatening group in front of him.

"Oh boys, this here is now my toy. So you best run off," he said with a cold laugh. He moved forward before holding out his hand and snapping his fingers. The shadows around them shifted before darting out around them. The shadows grabbing a few members in the group and forcing them into the strange world that Shadow had been in. Screams could be heard before bodies were thrown back out, bloody and messy. The individuals dragged around by an unseen sight before they rose in the air, what looked like a vine dragging the victims up before slamming them back down on the ground until there was a sickening crunch. Shadow laughed before looking back at his new toy.

Evan gasped as the mist started to flow from the shadows. At first he thought it was just the shadows playing tricks on his eyes, that the panic was making him see things, but soon it started to become more and more solid, though he could see little or nothing compared to the group standing in the entrance to the alleyway, slightly confused at what was happening. Still, they dismissed this....thing...as some nutcase playing in the shadows, someone trying to be a hero. They just chuckled and began to move forward with their knives. For some of them, that would be the last mistake they ever made.

When the shadows began to shift, the gang had no idea what to do, though when some of them started go grab at them they soon got the idea. Run. A few managed to turn and run, screaming, some were frozen on the spot, helpeless prey for the shadows, their screams cut off as they were dragged away. Some that tried to run were grabbed by shadowy vines, their screams cut off when they slammed into the concrete of the floor. In mere moments, there was nothing but bleeding bodies lining the entrance of the alley.

Evan felt more scared now than he had before when the creature turned to face him, "Please....please don't kill me!" He was backed right up against the wall of the alleyway, breathing so hard and fast he was hardly getting any air, his heart beating so quickly he felt like he would have a heart attack. He couldn't clearly see the thing in the darkness of the alley, but he had more than seen what it had done. "Please....please I'll do anything! Just pease don't kill me!"

Shadow smirked as he looked at the mess before snapping his finger once more so that the bodies would disappear. He watched as they seemed to sink into ground. He looked at the new toy and smirked before taking a step towards the other, his body disappearing for a moment, turning into the mist before appearing again, his hand placed on the male's cheek. "Mm, you're mighty interesting, you know that?" he whispered to the other before leaning in close. "I think, you might just be what I'm looking for."

He leaned back watching the other hungrily. "I have no intention to kill you, though if you wish for death, I can arrange that for you," he told the other. "I just wanted to help, those men were mucking up the area, they were going to die one way or another, at least this way I could save a cutie like you," he purred before he moved back to the other and ran a finger over the other's cheek. "My dear boy don't be afraid. I won't harm you, why don't you walk with me?"

He moved forward then, walking towards the exit of the alley. "I am the god of the Shadows. I haven't got a name besides Shadow, though you can name me what you please if it is easier," he told the other before he licked his lips.

Evan whimpered as he watched the bodies vanishing into the shadows on the ground, though his attention was quickly drawn back to the odd....thing that was moving closer, placing what could only be described as a hand reaching up to touch his face. It was rather cold, and definately not like human flesh. "I....I'm interesting? I.....I'm really not....really...." He laughed nervously, still pressing against the wall. "I um....what are....you looking for...exactly....?"

He laughed nervously again, feeling rather relieved that this things intention wasn't to kill him, though just why would it want to help him? Though when it referred to him as a cutie...running a finger over his cheek, he swallowed nervously starting to get a rough idea just what the thing wanted.

When Shadow moved to leave the alley, Evan almost immediately followed. He actually wanted nothing more than to just run away, but he got the feeling that would be a very bad idea. "Shadow is....fine....I'm sure..." He tried not to seem as nervous as he felt, but that was rather difficult. "You....you're really...a god....?" Well...he had certainly seen enough proof of that....though such a thing could just as easily have been some kind of demon. "I never....believed in that kind of stuff.....I never believed in god or.....well....anything like that...." He hoped he hadn't overstepped the line and offended his new.....companion with such a comment, it had just come out.

[/i]Shadow grinned as he looked at Evan. “We’re not supposed to be seen by normal people, but... Something about you it drew me out. I’ll probably get an earful when the other’s hear about this but I don’t really care. He held his hand out and mist floated around his hand before a cigarette seemed to materialize. He brought it up to his lips before it light on the spot. “Now, I don’t really care if you think me god, or demon, or even an illusion, just don’t be an ass.”

Shadow moved towards Evan and placed a hand on his cheek. “I’m not that scary. Stop shitting your pants already. What you think I’m going to do what I did to them, to you? I already stated my interest in you,” he mumbled before he shook his head. He moved closer to Evan, leaning into the male’s ear. “Why don’t I treat you to some food? Consider it a date. Don’t say no, I’ll have to give you a spanking if you deny me,” he purred before he snaked his arm around the other. “Come with me cutie, let’s go. Now tell me, what’s your favourite place to eat at? Doesn’t need to be fast food either. I’ll spoil you rotten...erm not literally of course. “

Shadow had noticed this male was certainly rather uneasy about the shadow god, to the point that Shadow thought it was annoying yet cute at the same time. “Or we could just skip the food and I can fuck you. Either way is good with me. I just thought you might like to be treated well after the ordeal you just went though. I mean, facing death and a god all in one night? How stressful. Maybe you could use a massage,” he purred to the other. “I could start with your shoulders and make my way down...”

"The uh....the others huh? I uh....suppose I'm pretty special eh?" Evan laughed nervously, trying to calm himself down as they walked. He had to stop his heart from beating so quickly....if he didn't he thought he was going to have a heart attack. "I wont be an ass......ehehe..." Well that much was true. No way he wanted to piss this thing off after seeing what it could do.

"You'll....buy me some food...?" Evan's stomach grumbled in response, though when Shadow mentioned a date....well...that was a little less appealing. Shadow never had been into men, but then was this thing really a man? It wasn't human after all so perhaps it was the female of....whatever it was. It just didn't feel quite right to refer to him as a god. Besides, the prospect of a spanking....well....Evan was certainly starting to feel uneasy. This wasn't helping his attempts to calmdown. "My favourite place to eat...well....there's this nice italian restaurant not too far from here...they do the very best pizza" The thought brought a slight grin to his face, Evan licking his lips at the thought. Oh he hadn't eaten there for so long.

"Wh-what?!" The sudden mention of skipping food and just skipping to the....well.... "I....I.....r-really I'm fine without a massage. I uh....food is just fine....really" Evan rubbed the back of his head, though he continued to walk beside Shadow to ensure he didn't annoy the....thing. "I'm....really not into guys like that....but I'm...flattered, really...." He was trying to let Shadow down easy....without annoying him.

Shadow looked at Evan and grinned before shaking his head and letting out a small sigh. "Look, you don't have an option. It's date me and fuck me, or cry and die," he shrugged then before he moved to the other and took his hand. "Now shut up and enjoy this, because unless you want to die, you're not getting out of this," he mumbled before he tugged the other along and started to walk him down the street and towards the place the other had briefly mentioned. Oh how he wanted to see this boy's face when he ate some of that pizza. He sighed lightly before closing his eyes briefly before walking down the street.

"Now, tell me a little about yourself and try to calm down. I'm not going to hurt you and just think of me as a normal person. Because I'm not going away that easily." he sighed stopping at the end of the street and waiting for the light to change so the two could cross. "I might be a monster when it comes to the bad guys, but I'm not that big of a freak..."

When Shadow gave Evan his options a few things ran through his head. The first was to run away screaming, but he figured that would just end in his death. The second thing that came to mind was to break down and beg, but again he figured that would end in his death....after all he seemed to be pushing Shadow's patience as it was. In the end, Evan figured he had little choice but to go along with this....and hope that it was just a one time thing and Shadow would then leave....

"Ah...." He stumbled slightly as Shadow tugged him, figuring he'd just need to take his time with the food. "I....well...tell you about myself...? What's to tell really...." Shadow seemed to be trying to get him to relax, but how could anybody relax after being told they had a choice of rape or death? "I....my name is Evan....I live alone....my job is terrible but all I can get...my parents have all but disowned me and I have no friends....that's really all there is to tell..." Evan looked down at the ground, depression starting to set in ontop of everything else he was feeling right now. Maybe having Shadow around wouldn't be so bad.....after all....at least Shadow was interested in him. "Like I said....not much to tell...."
