Being a Fourth-Year in college meant that Mark Hadleigh had some perks to go along with the ever-increasing difficulty of exams. This included getting a rent-free apartment of his own about five minutes out of the college. Of course, he had two other roommates but it didn't really matter. Another perk was getting his own car, which was currently parked in the lot in front of the complex as he headed up the stairs. He was twenty-four years old and studying in Chemistry and other related subject for his goal of becoming a doctor, and normally he would have had to study to keep the information fresh, but for him it was extraordinarily easy since he had eidetic, or photographic memory. So it meant he was able to kick back and goof off for the summer break.

However, he and his parents decided a while back that Mark's younger sister would spend the summer with him, which he agreed to happily. He had spent time with her since he graduated high school at eighteen and went to college at twenty. Fumbling for his keys, he unlocked the door to his three-bedroom apartment, setting his bag down and looking at the clock. His parent would be dropping off his little sister in less than five minutes. Mark then went about cleaning up, throwing away the trash that his roommates left strewn about, making sure they weren't home as he locked their doors and cleaned the kitchen. He combed his scruffy black hair in the mirror, rubbing his eyes of light brown and put on a new shirt that clung to his firm, muscular frame.

A bit of time passed before he heard a car pulling into the lot, and he smiled cheerfully, walking outside and down the steps to see his parents' car, waiting to see his little sister climb out.

"You'll behave for your brother right Katie?" her mother asked. Katie looked up from her book as her parents drove and nodded. She was a beautiful girl. Fourteen years old with blonde hair like her mom's and blue eyes. The Hadleigh Blue or so the stories went. Katie was a bit of a bookworm. She was in honors courses and was all signed up for her first AP clases come the fall when she started Sophomore year in high school. Her favorite things to do were typical of teenage girls. Talking on the phone with her friends, going to the movies and spending her nights doing homework and watching her favorite Television Shows. She talked about boys and snuck romance novels from her mother's stash in the attic. But she was also a girl that believed in fairy tales and happily ever after and loved to write about such things. She hadn't seen her brother in a while. Close to a year as he'd decided to stay in his college town during Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter. So for her to spend all summer with him was exciting.

She smiled brightly. "Of course mom..." she laughed and then closed her book and put it in the bag beside her. She had a few suitcases but her parents planned on giving Mark a bit of money to buy her clothes and to help foot the bill for food and outings. There was a local theme park and she couldn't wait to go there. All in all, it was going to be a great summer. As they pulled into the apartment complex, Katie scrambled out of the car and then ran toward him. SHe was getting tall but still had an air of innocence and childishness to her features. SOmewere between a woman and a child. "Mark!" she said happily, wrapping her arms around him and hugging him tightly. Her mom waved and then went around to the back of the car, grabbing the rolling trunks as her husband helped. Melissa Hadleigh smiled at her son and hugged him. "Oh Mark you're looking so good," she smiled. She was forty-three and had birthed Mark, fresh after graduation. Her husband was in his mid-fifties but it was obvious the two of them loved one another and though Katie had been an accident, she was treated just as well as her brother had been, if not a little more so because she was a girl. "We've got all her stuff here...we've got to catch our flight so we can't stay...but...here's a bit of money to see that she's taken care of and if you need anything else, don't be afraid to give us a call and we'll wire some more," she smiled then kissed his cheeks then kissed Katie's cheeks as well. "Be good hun.. love you..." She hugged Bryan again and smiled. "love you too hun. Come on sweetheart...we've got to go," she said rushing back to the car.

"Be safe you too...no parties," her dad said pointedly then smiled and gave them both hugs before walking off. Katie waved then looked at Mark. "Guess we should bring my stuff up," she smiled.

Mark really had no particular social life except with the presence of his roommates. Of course, they went out and got drunk, having a great time, but other than that, it was just college. That didn't mean he didn't have options; several girls wanted to either go out with him or simply fuck him, but he had no inclination to do so until after graduating. He wasn't a virgin, however. When he was sixteen, Mark had lost it with a girl he had a crush on, so it was a perfect occasion. But after that and she moved away, he hadn't even thought about it. This meant that his parents didn't need to worry about Mark pushing Katie away for a girlfriend.

Watching his mother and father climbed was a happy moment, but he was particularly pleased to see his little sister race toward him and embrace his torso tightly. With a laugh, Mark kneeled down and hugged Katie back. "Hey, little sis!" he exclaimed, holding her at arms length to examine her. "You've gotten taller!" That wasn't all he noticed, of course; since the year had gone by, he saw that her body was different. She wasn't quite a woman, but she wasn't a child anymore either. Her curves were still developing, but already he saw the swell of her chest and rear from under her clothes. Just then he felt a sense of protectiveness for her; it meant she would start dating soon, and he likely wouldn't be there to check whatever boyfriend she got out to be safe.

Standing up, he let go of Katie and hugged his mother, kissing her on the cheek. "Hey mom; you are too," he said truthfully, and nodded to her list of things to do, pocketing the money into his pocket, although he truthfully didn't need it. His savings account would do that for him, but he wouldn't tell his parents that. "No problem, just call us when you land," replied Mark, taking out his cell and showing for emphasis.

Mark laughed at his father's comment, "Yeah yeah, I know. And I'll not to burn everything to the ground," he said, giving his father a tight hug before his parents left. Looking down at Katie, he smiled and ruffled her hair. "Let's go, then, Kate." Picking up her trunks with ease, then led the way, walking up the stairs and pushing the door to his apartment open. "You'll be sleeping in my room, all right? I'll be on the couch," he explained, setting her bags down to watch her reaction.
