I'm not very good at coming up with new roleplay ideas but here are a couple I have thought of. I have a preference for playing longer term story ideas, and I particularly like multiple characters, even if they're just minor, background "extras", with a reasonable balance of story, for these as they add flavour...
1. A "day in the life" (or longer than a day) of a call girl/bargirl/porn actress - but, with an emphasis on more than just the sex work. I'm interested in all aspects of her life: coming home - does she have a boyfriend/girlfriend? How does she balance family and personal life with her unconventional job? What happens if she meets people from that part of her life in a more mundane situation?
2. A celebrity* with a past. Perhaps her current life is fairly bland - it would have to be - but through a mixture of flashbacks and stories we could explore some of the dark secrets of her past life, and how they affect her day to day life from now on.
* I would prefer to play a new, original celebrity - one we invent between us, possibly to interact with other original celebrities - rather than an actual, real world celebrity - hope that makes sense!
3. A rich, beautiful young woman is kidnapped, prompting the worst fears of her fate from her wealthy family and a national outpouring of grief as the prototypical "damsel in distress". Yet one day, after months of no word, she turns up, safe and unharmed. At first, everything seems to have worked out - but soon, she begins preaching a strange new order of how the world should work...
4. While I mostly stick to modern plots, I'm open to an excursion to the lands of fantasy for the right ravaging war lord or similar...but I think I'd rather play a peasant type girl than a princess, haha.
5. A well developed relationship involving some degree of domestic abuse. While this could be quite dark, I'm not so much looking for a classic "master/slave" dichotomy, as something featuring a more complex slew of emotions.
6. An open world, criminal underworld style of story. I prefer a modern setting for this, whether it be based in the city, the suburbs, or the open country. I think this would work well if we played multiple characters.
7. Lately I've had an odd craving to play a more air-headed, ditzy type character than I would usually play...I think it would be interesting to at least try, while avoiding sinking to the depths of shallow bimbodom.
8. I set up, but was unable to go through with, an open world RP, with me playing multiple females. If anyone is interested in taking on a preexisting world and playing it out, it would mean my energies wouldn't have been wasted!
