Adaria Meer (Aya):
Attire: Mini dress, high heeled boots, purse.
Weapon: Mini Stun Gun (in purse)
Location: The Comet, Equatoria City, Thalassa
Tagging: Any who approaches.
Time: Early evening, October 1.
According to legend, the Comet got it's name from one it's previous owner's last adventure as a space pilot. For reasons that changed with each telling of the story, his ship had been destroyed in space, far away from any help, but he had managed to escape in the tiny emergency boat, landed on the surface of a passing comet, and then managed to lift off just as it passed Thalassa, followed by a million-to-one emergency landing on the ocean planet.
The truth of the tale was debatable, but nonetheless the blazing holographic comet projected above the door of the bar was a familiar sight to many who had reason to use the spaceport of the Thallassan city of Equatoria.
Aya was back in her usual place by the bar, idly chatting with the bartender and keeping an eye on the guests, sometimes flashing one of them a quick smile, should their gaze linger upon them. She had actually been gone for a few weeks, having managed to save up money for a vacation. It had been good, just relaxing, visiting her family and even taking her niece on a short ocean safari up north.
But now she was back at work. She was dressed up in a tiny, form hugging dress. It was actually the most expensive piece of clothing she owned, being made out of the elastic skin of a Thallassan Sea Serpent. It was a good investment, though. The subtle pattern of the shiny skin made her stand out, and it lent her the feeling of some class and style. Besides, she had been told it did wonders for her butt, something that never hurt.
The place had changed little in the time she had been gone. Music was playing in the background, recorded, even if there was often a live performer later some evenings. Much of the city was actually bellow water levels. The bar, situated beneath the actual spaceport, was just at water level. One wall had a couple of thick windows, regularly covered by the waves, and the small dance floor was made of reinforced glass, beneath it a dark chasm, where pillars supporting the main structure disappeared into the depths. Sometimes fish, a maintenance sub or lizard seal would swim by beneath the feet of the guests-
The customers were a mix of transients and regulars. Not too many yet, but more kept arriving, alone or in small groups. Roughly, the clientèle could be divided into three groups. A few were just killing time with a drink, maybe waiting for a flight, most of them alone or in pairs.
Others, usually in groups, were starting up a night out, quaffing down their brews and laughing loudly. Often, these would be a ship crew just landed, ready to blow some of their earnings and unwind, often picking the Comet as their starting point. Aya kept an eye on these, as sometimes they would be interested in the kind of services she could provide.
The third group was those here on business. People looking for information, to make deals and earn money, not always legally. Those would be seated in the corners, where there was plenty of shadow, or near the loudspeakers, where the music would mask their voices. Either in pairs, quietly negotiating their deals and broking their services, or eagerly watching the door with every new arrival.
"Yeah.. sure.. It was great, we even got to see a few Leviathan Whales, birds roosting one their backs and all. Pam loved it.", she said in response to a question from the bartender, briefly locking eyes with a guest who had been watching her for a little while.
Vacation had been great, but she had to admit she had kind of missed the energy and quiet excitement of this place.
