Leona was walking deep in the forest, far from the elven city. She was dressed in a dark green cloak that was tied up in front to hide her body. She in fact was wearing very little beneath the cloak. The elf's breasts covered by fabric so thin that her peaks shown provocatively through her top. Her body was also covered only by a thong and the gold and blue trim armor on her legs and wrists. She was the princess of an elven kingdom whose power entirely laid in the virgin princess herself. One female held so much more power than one would expect but she had such power in skill and intelligence. Many enemies had attempted to capture the elven princess but had failed. She was just too smart for them.

Leona

She had with her one loyal guard. That was Violet, who actually wasn't elven. She actually had been sent by the Princess Elizabeth as protection for her beloved friend. Violet was wearing a purple mid-riff top and a short purple skirt that was entirely too short. So short that it gave off glimpses of the purple panties that she was wearing beneath it.

Violet

Leona had her bow with arrows at the ready and at the first sign of danger would be ready to send a dozen arrows into her enemy. It was after about another hour of walking that they stumbled upon some ruins of a lost city. It was shrouded in thick forest vines and plants. The two made their way through it until they were able to enter the building nearest them. The two girls wandered about aimlessly, unaware of the danger beneath their feet or in the tunnel system itself. The buildings above were falling apart and in various states of disarray. They soon discovered this when they had stepped forward. The stone floor beneath them, weak from years of decay, caved in and they fell through the floor into the opening.

They landed on the floor of a vast tunnel system. Leona rose to her feet and gazes up in disbelief. The opening was some ways up and far too far for them to climb out. She waited till the dust settled and then started into the tunnel. Violet followed her as she was curious at what laid beyond, but also looking to find a way out.

"I don't like this tunnel. It seems dangerous and full of traps." Violet told them. They continued forward along the tunnel.

It's been a long time since Mirirra had seen any outsiders. She had once been a ruler of this underland labyrinth. Criminals and sacrifices had been sent to her daily. To torture, kill, and do with in any matter she and her subjects deemed necessary. Yet when the old rulers had been killed in war, the castle had been left to ruin, leaving her and her other immortal creatures down in the labyrinth, with no way of escape. They had sealed off the only way out, and not even the giant worm had been able to dig itself out of the hard stone they had built around the entire structure. So the creatures of her domain now lived in wait.

When Mirirra heard the loud crash, she was in her throne room. One of the many rooms that was an offshoot of the large maze. She awoke, one of her subjects, a sphinx, awoke as well, tilting it's head in the direction of the sound. With a yawn, the feminine face of the creature began to stand and stretch. Mirirra's long tail lashed lightly as she slithered out of her throne. “Stay,” she ordered her little pet before taking off into the tunnels. She moved quickly, her snake like tail pushing her along.

From her waist up, Mirirra had the body of a female warrior. Flawless, with the definition of muscle, yet the smoothness that any female desired her body to be. Her skin was light, with a green hue, which one could hardly tell unless she was directly under light. Her hair moved around, being completely made up of snake bodies that ended in heads. Her eyes were slit, just like the creature the lower half of her body mimicked.

The now appointed queen slowed as she heard a voice echo ahead. She quickly made her way into one of the irrigation tunnels that were just as maze like as the labyrinth itself. However, she knew both of their layouts by heart. As one would, living here for over a thousand years. She came out of the tunnel onto a ledge that looked down over the large labyrinth. Some places were lit with torches, others were dark as pitch.

Her eyes caught site of the two women making their way into the labyrinth city. She saw the large hole far above them, and for a moment was angered that it was too far up. Though she had to admit, the thought of having fresh new slaves in her midst was a happy one. She wouldn't kill them either. If these were the only two that would enter her domain in another thousand years, she was going to make sure that the entertainment would last. Though she better get to them before any of her other creatures did. This was her realm after all, so she should be the one to get to decide what to do with them first.

Her mind made up, Mirirra slithered back into the irrigation tunnels, coming out of one of the walls near where the two young women would be now. They were both intriguing, and she was glad that they were young and beautiful. Made the thought of keeping them all the more enticing. She used her tail and sharp nails to stay pressed up against the wall as she slithered along slowly behind the girls, watching, and waiting.

Mirirra

The legend of Mirirra had long since been forgotten. No one in the land of Ranguard were aware of the stories of the underland labyrinth or those killed and tortured below the now ruined castle. Some of the tunnels were large and had been cut out by the giant worm. Leona and Violet continued up along one of the tunnels leading further into the labyrinth. The two females were unaware that they had awakened the ruler of the land below. In fact, the tunnel system connected to a whole network of caves that ran beneath the kingdom. Most of the passageways were blocked and could not be opened until some ritual or key was used. Leona had good hearing and would be the first to hear any sound if someone were approaching. Mirirra's appearance had even been lost to time. No one recalled the image of her and her children had long since been killed or fled to distant lands. Someone had made perfectly clear that they wanted the memory erased and the truth buried. No one would was to set Mirirra free. That was until Leona and Violet showed up.

Leona and Violet realized that the place was not as empty as they might have thought when the tunnel became lit with torches. They glance sideways at each other and drew their weapons. "I think we better watch out. We aren't alone down here." Leona told Violet as she held her bow and arrow at the ready. Violet nodded and the two continued forward. The hole was pretty far up for most humans or anything of that size but not nearly as high for anything like the giant worm. That creature alone was another of the forgotten creations that had vanished with the old city. Now would it roam the land once more? The two passed Mirirra unaware that her intentions towards them were so ill. Any action of trying to turn them into slaves would start a war with Princess Elizabeth. "This place must be big. I wonder how far it goes?" Violet then asked to which Leona shrugged and shook her head.

All of the sudden, Leona's bow and arrow came around. She pointed into up into the tunnel that they were coming out of. She could see what Violet could not and growled as she spoke, "Who are you? I demand you to answer and find us a way out. You'll be rewarded richly for obedience." The appearance of the woman puzzled the young elf, but with no history of the woman left, the danger was not clear to her mind. Violet also spun around and raised her sword but could not see the woman in the shadows like the elf could.

The queen of the underland continued to follow, her ears listening for the approach of any of her creatures. Though if any did get close, her presence detoured them away. They knew better than to mess with Mirirra and her prey. They made their way deeper and deeper into the labyrinth, and then without warning the one turned on her, and arrow pointed straight in her path. Her eyes narrowed and she noticed the features. An elf. Her skin was softer and lighter than the elves who had once created her city and the castle above.

There had once been many stories of the horrors that awaited any who crossed the elves who had inhabited the castle and village above. Yet when it had been lost, so had the stories. All recollection of their kind was simply a story of a war, that ended with the destruction of the particular race. They were hardly even elves anymore. Twisted by the darker magics they wielded for their own gain. They had denied nature and their old gods, trying to become godlike themselves. Well, it only worked for so long. The tyrants had been beaten back and only a few even remained. One of those who did lived down here with her.

When the war had been lost, the labyrinth was sealed away in hopes of keeping the creatures inside forever. So when the woman ordered her to take her out, the woman simply let out a giggle and slithered quickly in front of the two armed women. Her tail coiled beneath her and held her body high above the other two. She smirked down at both of them, allowing herself to be seen. The thin rattle at the end of her tail shook violently for several moments before going silent. “There is no way out,” she finally said in response. “If there was, do you think I would be here?” She looked from the elf to the human and back. Such pretty little things they were. “And you have no right to demand me!” she hissed, her long forked tongue slipping out for a brief moment. “I am Mirirra, Queen of the Underland Labyrinth.” Her tail once again rattled loudly, echoing through the walls. It was a signal to her pets and subjects to come to her. Soon the two would be outnumbered.

Leona saw that she had been noticed and waited for an answer. She thought that she sensed movement around them and kept a wary glance on the tunnels there. It was true that the elves had built the castle above these tunnels and rooms. Yet, the ones who did had chosen to keep it a secret. It was also true that most of the elves of the old city had turned into something darker but not Leona. She was among the last remaining elves that had not changed. Leona stole a glance at Violet who stood slightly behind the elf.

Leona saw the woman move and turned to keep the arrow aimed at her in case it was a trick. Then the entire body of the woman became known. Violet gasped and stared up at the woman in shock. "This could be a problem!" She insisted to Leona.

The rattling filled their ears and made their bones quake. "That is a lie!" Leona snapped and stepped forward, rasing her arrow as she demanded the truth. It was a good point. Leona thought about that and shuddered at the thought. That meant they were down here trapped too now. Leona scowled and then growled as she aimed her arrow higher and answered, "I don't care who you re. I am Leona, best friend of Princess Elizabeth. That is the princess of the empire; therefore, a lot more important than you. Care for me to tell her you refused my offer?" That tail again rattling made them shake their heads before Leona shouted, "STOP!" Violet began to hear noises and began to look around for their source. What were they? Where were they coming from? It seemed to be from everywhere.

As the arrow was pointed up at her, Mirirra couldn't up but chuckle, giving a wide grin down at the woman. She was a feisty one. She liked that. When she yelled at her to stop the rattling, she did. It didn't matter anyway, she could hear them coming through the walls from all corners of the labyrinth. Well, the ones who could leave where they were anyway. The giant worm had it's own tunnels it followed now, and it's heavy body could be heard moving over the rubble of it's path. The others had to use their own known routes, which meant it would take some longer than others. She and the smaller creatures used the irrigation easily, the more humanoid and bigger used the main labyrinth and any other tunnels that had been made big enough.

“So, the best friend of a princess? That gives you no authority here.” Mirirra swayed slowly from one side to another. “Your princess would be lucky to even find you.” Then there was the first arrivals. Several large spider like creatures, that had pincers and large fangs. They came from the irrigation tunnels above, crawling out and over the ceiling. “And as I already told you, there is no way out.” Her sphinx came running down the hall, stopping when she saw the arrow aimed at Mirirra. All the creatures kept their distance, not daring to put their queen and known “mother” in jeopardy. “Though if you will lower your weapon and be diplomatic about this, we can see if we can help each other. More and more of her subjects came into the large corridor. The giant worm's head stuck out one of it's main tunnels, a mouth that opened four different ways breathing heavily. One of the old elves who had once lived in the castle above. Three sisters, all with ram horns and hoofed legs. Along with many others. “You are threatening their queen,” she said softly. “You would do wise to head my words.”

Leona watched as Mirirra chuckled and hardly seemed disturbed at all by the arrow. Leona could hear again as the sound of the rattle stopped but then she heard something else. The sounds soon increased and the elf knew that others were closing in on their location. She knew there was going to be a fight. That much was clear. She strung another arrow into her bow and glares up at Mirirra. Leona listened to the woman's statement before answering, "Yes but anything done to her friends here and she will come seeking your head." She looked serious even though she and Violet kept an eye on the passages around them. When would the enemy come out?

Suddenly a whole bunch of spiders came crawling out of the passages. Leona let loose the two arrows in her bow. They sailed throw the air and buried themselves in one of the spider's heads. Then she started firing off more arrows. This would no doubt start a fight and so Violet started to cut off the legs off the spiders that came scurrying towards her. It was clear they were out numbered and that fighting was a bad choice; therefore, they turned and fought their way through one of the tunnels to the left side of the room. The elf would have been faster had she not had to wait up a bit for Violet. They continued up the tunnel as the ground soon was littered with the fallen spiders that they were cutting down. Even this task looked endless and a few times they had to stop completely.

Mirirra watched the two begin to fight. So they weren't going to come quietly? Oh well, it just made for a bit of relaxation before the girls would be brought to her. The queen watched as the creatures began to fall dead around her. Not that she cared, but she knew their mother would not be happy. Well, she could get her revenge soon enough. After all, those two were going to be here for a very long time.

“Go after them,” she ordered several of her subjects. “When you catch them bring them straight to me.” She was then gone, slithering beck to her throne room to await the new arrivals to be brought to her. Her sphinx was quickly behind, and several of the creatures that got there late were left to figure out what to do now.

One of the creatures that was closing in on the girls had it's muscles and skeleton showing out in multiple areas. It's entire tail was bone, and it was almost like it's face had melted away, leaving only one open eye, and a snarling mouth. It was fast with two large legs and arms that helped it move. Behind him were the three sirens, and with them was the half human-half reptilian creature. He had the head and skin of a lizard, but him body was build like a soldier's.

Leona and Violet watched as these new creatures arrived. The first which caught their attention was some bizarre skeleton creature. Leona strung an arrow into her bow and let it loose as it sailed through the air in the direction of this creature. It took two more arrows as the creature was fast for any of them to get anywhere close to it. The elf was fine with that. She was fast enough to handle it. Violet took on the half reptilian and half human creature. She swipes at it with her sword as they met in the path. The spiders were still around, some alive and some dead. Leona was busy firing off more arrows at anything that moved or got close to them. The two girls backed up to each other and were back to back as they fought what came their way. It was far better than running in endless unknown tunnels and risking getting lost or captured. "This is harder than it looks!" Leona told her friend to which her friend nodded and agreed. They would not give up though as they continued to stand their ground and fight.

The skeleton creature was practically impenetrable, considering it's bones covered most of it's outside, and ever the muscles at bones behind them. It's only weakness was it's one eye. The three sirens stayed back and began to sing, trying to calm the girls into sleep. Not even Mirirra knew if such a thing worked on elves, since they too were made of magic.

As they fought, the giant worm was making its way around them, intending on blocking them in. Then there was the It. No one knew what It was, even Mirirra, hence it's name. It appeared like a shadow, moving quickly and swiftly, at times the thing seemed to take on a physical form, but only for the briefest of moments. Then it was back into being simply a shadow, on the ground, wall, and ceiling above. Any shot, even if it hit would not phase it. Though it's only real purpose was to draw attention and scare, it could not physically touch a living thing. At least it never had to anyone's knowledge.

Leona soon discovered that the arrows were not working on the skeletons. Then the music started and she had a hard to focusing. She tried to shoot the sirens to make them stop singing but her aim was off and soon her eye lids got heavy and she slumped to the ground. Meanwhile, Violet rushes to her side but she too was feeling the music's effects. They didn't seem to notice the giant work which likely was due to the music itself. Violet stares at the thing floating along the wall that came across as a shadow. What was it and what was it doing there? It didn't seem to have a hostile nature as far as she could see.
