It would be easy.
It would be in, out, and a minimal loss of life.
But when has that ever been true?

It would be in, out, and a minimal loss of life.
But when has that ever been true?
--------
The year is 2140 and the world as we know it is only just recently recovered from a violent global conflict.
Many of the nations not fractured have been wiped away, with only a rare few remaining united together. While many nations seek to forge alliances with their fellow survivors, rebuilding what was once destroyed in the purging fires of nuclear war, one nation stands alone as a seeming hermit of the global community. Japan, for all intents and purposes, shut themselves off from the rest of the world. No communications have ever been sent out, none sent in have been responded to, and her ports remain barren of international traffic. At first rumors circulated around that the country was so horribly damaged by the effects of the war that only mutants and the dead still inhabited the borders of a once prosperous country. Yet sudden construction at the edges of Japan's soveriegn waters, as well as brief but very broken communications in 2130 led the world to realize the true fate of Japan. In the years before the war began, Japan had begun construction on a nanomachine swarm designed for removing contaminants such as oil from tanker spills, or similar nature-harming disasters in order to preserve the environment. As the war had begun, the machines were studied to be repurposed by the Japanese government as a means of preventing or limiting nuclear fallout. Dispersing these machine swarms over their country, the Japanese thought they would be safe from the devestation of the oncoming war. Codenamed Project White Cloud, the results were hard to get from the intercepted transmissions.
Then, in 2138 a new incident occurred.
The USS Zeus, a Zeus-class guided missile cruiser from Great Britain, strayed off-course, and in to the radar-jamming bubble that surrounded Japan. Her sister ship, the USS Zebra, was able to watch as a dark swarm had descended on the ship, and sent in to the bottom in a fiery blaze several minutes later. Two months later, another transmission leaking out of what was now known as the Area of Influence (AoI) referred to further development of the weapons system Black Cloud. What was Black Cloud? Was it what sank the Zeus? What was going on in the AoI that the world didn't know? All the ideas proposed were merely conjecture, with the people of the United States clamoring for some sort of action to be taken about the loss of one of their most advanced cruisers currently in their fleet. President Virginia J. Parsons looked at the options presented to her, knowing that she had to take some sort of action. Yet it was against an enemy who would not be affected by political pressure, or port blockades. So she was presented with one of the only feasible options that would be available to her.
The men and women of the M.L.W.U. (Multi Lateral Warfare Unit).
Originally a pipe-dream in the years long before the war, M.L.W.U. is what could best be described as a "super soldier" project. Not lab-grown, as one might expect, they were naturally born to loving families, joined the military, and were lab-improved upon being brought in to the program. These highly trained and well-equipped special operatives surpass even the supposed "Tier 1" special operations of the military, doing the deadliest of missions, in the darkest of night, and always doing their best to disappear without leaving a trace. These men and women were hand-picked for the mission, each one given a one-way contract: given the scant details, to accept and hear the rest in order to follow through, or back out to never hear about it again. Now those who have accepted were placed in to Task Force Whiskey Sour. What is it they are going to do?
Whiskey Sour is going to be the spear-head.
Even for such an elite team, this seemingly simple mission will be one of the most important they have done in their entire lives. They are to infiltrate the AoI undetected, with the objective of taking out two of the manmade island stations that maintain the AoI, disable the systems maintaining the eastern-most portions of the AoI, and enable a military task-force to begin full-scale operations against the Japanese government.
However, when has any mission been so simple?
--------
That is where you, the player, come in. You are one of these elite soldiers, a highly trained and well-equipped member of Task Force Whiskey Sour. You accepted the mission with only the baremost slivers of knowledge before agreeing, now you have been sent out on what could be possibly the most dangerous mission you have ever done in your military career. Now are you ready?
Basically an action RP. Later on, not really in the beginning, I imagine there would be more room for romance and such developments, but in the very early stages it would likely be more focused on the team trying to survive far behind enemy lines, and far from any form of support. The mission is far more complex than it seems, because complications will develop, and the team will end up going to the mainland of Japan before this RP is done. The title comes from the fact that Task Force Whiskey Sour is the first group of foreigners to set foot on Japan in several decades RP-time, in case you didn't gather.
So, is anybody interested?
