Eve couldn't take it no longer, tears streaking her cheeks as she hung her head. Another night, another fight. She could feel the swelling of her bottom lip. Her breathing coming quick in between soft sobs that raked through her petite frame. She denied him again to the point of anger, and he struck her. Swallowing, she found that her throat was raw from her cries. It would be the last he or any one of her family laid a finger upon her. Closing her eyes she pushed herself to her feet. Swaying, and staggering back she gained her footing. No more. Shaking her head she cast her sister one final look before pushing past her. Making the older girl stumble back in shock as she took to one hall. She could hear her sister's yelling behind her, calling to her mother and father who had been in another room arguing over what they should do with her this night.
Eve wouldn't let them get her again, years she had put up with their abuse. both physically and mentally. It was never easy when those who she should trust where beating her, and toying with her feelings. Hell her step father took her innocence away when he raped her. she could still feel the pain as her heart didn't want to. Gasping out she felt her heart constrict within her chest. releasing more sobs that made it difficult for her to maneuver down the stairs without falling. Which would give them time to catch up with her. Snatching up her wallet that was on the side table near the front door she pulled it open.
"Eve, you walk out that door and you will regret it." Her step father hissed, her large honey sets widening as she gazed back at him from the door way. Shaking her head she walked backwards.
"No, I am not coming back. I've had enough of this shit. I hope you all rott in hell!!" She screamed at them shoving her self down the steps at the front door. her runners merely slipped on easily as she ran from the housed. Screams and yelling echoing behind her knowing that her stepfather was lumbering after her. He was a large man, to her more petite frame, so she was able to out run him.
Eve slowed, each breath burning within her chest as she panted heavily. So desperately wanting Death to come claim her. what reason had she for living. Having no friends, no family. the family that she did have lost that title when reached her preteen years, even before then. Staggering forward she fell against the Bridges walling. Clinging to the cold stone. Her honey set stared to the darkness. the changing fall to winter air nipping at her pale skin, that was adorned by bruises. She wore a tore night gown. One strap snapped, leaving her almost white blond tresses to sweep around the bare pale skin of her shoulders.
this was it. The end of the line for her. She would not allow them to harm her again. Not if she could help it anyways. Closing her eyes Eve gripped the street lamp post before carefully pulling herself up onto the ledge of the wall. Her eyes Opened, lifting to gaze at the Full moon that was surrounded by darkness. She was going to do this. Her free hand clutched at her wallet.
Inhaling she tried to gain the courage to jump into the darkness, knowing that below was the river that would surely ease her suffering. Eve was so focused on trying to remain calm that a slight noise made her whip her head around. Causing her to lose her footing. Falling to the icy chills of the river. She cried out before the water took her sharply under. Her head hitting a rock. Knocking her out. Letting her remain still in the soft current of the water.
