False positives.

Sometimes when I click 'User CP' to check if there any new posts to a subscribed thread, I'll get a false positive. It'll say there is a new post to a subscribed thread, even though the thread hasn't been posted in for months. Here's an example.

It's not a huge issue, but I do get my hopes up for just a second, only to be let down ;c

Not sure if this helps clears things up, but it could be that someone subscribed to your thread; this usually creates a "phantom bump" because the user then deletes the post they made so that it doesn't bump the thread (I should know, I've done it myself a couple of times)

As much as I would like to think random people subscribed to my threads, I doubt this. Especially if they haven't been posted in for months and are off the radar.
