It was a midnight flight, a day dressed in black, a new array of online classes. This is what his life was now. The death of his parents sent him back home to live with his little brother so that he wouldn't have to change schools his junior and senior of high school. This was something that had been expected of him, and although he loved his brother, he didn't want to return home to take care of the boy. He was twenty four, his brother seventeen. They had been close for a short time until the elder of the two made some new friends and decided hanging out with his baby brother wasn't what he wanted to do every day. He went to college a few hours away to get away from his family and the every day monotony of a small town.
The past couple days had gone by in a blur and he didn't know what to do to take care of a brother that was practically an adult. He was back home, making a pot of coffee and doing some school work on his laptop, trying to stay quiet since it was around six in the morning. He had been an insomniac for a while and it didn't bother him anymore. He did take naps during the middle of the day to combat it, staying up all night and getting the majority of his work done in the restful silence. It had been a car wreck that made his world come to a screeching halt and turn another direction. They hadn't even been the ones at fault, a drunk driver had crossed into their lane and hit them head on, killing them on impact. His name was William, Will for short, and he was on his own with a teenager to raise.
