The world is not as simple as it seems, the masses bustle about their daily lives unaware of what lurks all around them and are happy to do so. But some of the stories they tell, their "Fictions" thought to distract them from the daily grind... are not so fictitious. Chief among these lurking secrets are the vampires, they are real and the night is theirs. They have walked the earth for as long as any can remember, fluid examples of perfection and beauty seemingly given form and life all their own.
But such perfection, such beauty, such allure... did not come without a price. They hungered and they fed, Sustained by the blood of men and women they lived night to night though slaking their thirst did not always quell their hungers in full. No for it seems that to hold such perfection and such a powerful presence brought with it equally powerful desires. Passions that needed to be slaked and hungers that must be fed all more intense than those they knew in mortal life. In slaking these passions and hungers they gave rise to something more than human but not quite vampire, children born of those heated unions and nights of passion. Beyond even that the craving and desire for companionship was likewise all the greater for these creatures and in the end they made more like themselves.
Their numbers grew and at one point in history man even hunted them. But that was a long time ago and they have sense learned to hide, to blend in, to play their games more carefully. Some are powers that lurk behind the scenes manipulating human affairs as the proverbial "Man behind the curtain" while others are hedonistic creatures who hunger for pleasure above all else. They are as varied as the humans they manipulate, court, and feed upon.
But there is still talk of what changed long ago, there are still those that would seek to hunt them... and there are stories of that which even the elders fear... the things that brought an end to the old hunts and stopped the hunters in the days of the inquisition. Whispers of "The Blackguard" still occur when elders meet though if it is a story told to frighten the young or cautionary to remind the old is anyone's guess... it may just be just that, a story told to prevent what happened once before.
One thing is clear though, Vampires are real and they are among us... their familiars do their bidding and work their designs by day, and they in turn rule the night. The world is but a stage and dusk is the raising of its curtain... Night has fallen and the show is about to begin.

3. No ignoring other peoples posts as this is just rude
4. Available races are Human, Vampire, and Dunpeal.
5. Any special abilities will require prior approval to ensure fairness.
6. Actions and dialog should be separated to make it easier for others to read your post quickly.
7. Please keep the OOC chatter to a minimum, handle any disagreements or conflicts through PMs and if you must use OOC then do so with the proper bubbles ((like this))
8. Please follow character format that I provide, it makes things easier for me.
9. Any an all rules are subject to change and or additions at the behest of the creator of this RPG.
