So, there are a lot of fantasy human versus demon stories set in a western setting. For example, elves and men versus orcs in The Lord of the Rings, and humans battling the demonic scourge in Dragon Age and etc..
I had an idea...what if something like that happened in a feudal Asia setting? Can you imagine? Samurai slicing through orc flesh, Ming Dynasty martial artists carving their way through ranks of demons "Dynasty Warrior" style, Mongol cavalry riding against beasts and wargs from the underworld! I think it'd be a rather epic scenario...
So here's the plot idea I had in mind:
Warlord Tokugawa Ieyasu has finally conquered all the contending samurai warlords and united Japan under one banner. His army is well seasoned after years of constant warfare and the Shogunate military machine is at it's peak, utilizing both mastery of traditional combat and firearm technology imported from the west. Tokugawa's ambitions extend beyond Japan, and he plans to make war with Korea and ultimately overtake the Ming Dynasty as the supreme super power of Asia.
However, war takes money. Legend has it that there is a gold reservoir deep in the mountains, embedded beneath the earth. A large force of miners is tasked to dig up the gold. Gold they did not find. What they dug up was something vile and horrible beyond all imagination, something that would forever change the land. Demons are awakened and a gateway from hell is opened. Legions of evil pour out of the gold mines and consume all in it's path. Luckily the scourge came at a time when the Shogunate was geared for war, or else Japan would have been consumed instantly without a doubt. Even then, the samurai alone are not enough to hold off this evil. Sending out pleas of help to all Asian nations, Tokugawa's intended enemies became allies. It was in the best interest of every nation to contain the scourge and destroy it, for if it consumed Japan it will surely spread to the rest of the world.
In the Shogunate's darkest hour, the Ming Dynasty dispatches it's massive armada to Japan, carrying with it an army packed with enough fire power to raze the entirety of Japan, an elite battalion of Imperial special forces, and a group of legendary-class martial arts masters. Korea sends the entirety of it's army, composing mainly of it's famed archers. The Mongols, having struck a peace treaty with the Ming in order to battle the scourge, lends it's fierce cavalry to the fight.
Japan has become a battle field, a blood bath, the meeting ground between good and evil, and the ultimate fight arena between man and demon.
So that's the back drop of the story.
The actual role play will begin just as the scourge is breaking out, and I will be playing Tokugawa Ieyasu and the commanders and generals under his staff. However, my main character will be Takeda Shinji, a talented young commander who is leading the fight against the scourge. There are many options for your character, you can be one of them or play all of them, I would prefer however that you play at least more than one character since this is a complex role play involving quite a few roles.
-Tokugawa Maruki (Name is flexible and may be changed based on preference, however the family name of Tokugawa must remain), daughter of Tokugawa Ieyasu. She's a beautiful princess that her father wants to protect at all costs, but her nature is that of a archer and she aches to be on the front lines.
-A civilian girl from a massacred village who is saved by Takeda Shinji and taken under his care.
-Female ninja employed by the Shogunate to fight the scourge
-Nurse in the Shogun's army.
-Really any role you can think of and would like to play given this setting. You may have a cast of supporting characters but I would prefer that your main character be a female who will be paired up with my character.
If this story progresses far enough and deep enough then characters from other nations will be involved and introduced as well as Ming China, Korea, and Mongols come into play. There will be notable generals and princes and warriors from each nation so there's plenty of romance and match up options for all your characters.
My requirements:
A highly literate female player who can be creatively involved in writing long complex stories with deep plots and multiple characters. Someone who will be dedicated long term and truly enthusiastic about the role play and immerse in the setting and story. Preferably someone with at least some degree of familiarity with Asian culture whether it be through film or anime. This story will be plot based and sex will occur naturally and be rather conventional like how sex would be in a normal world setting. I'm not really big on creature rape...but seeing how that might be applicable in this setting I would allow for you to write scenes of characters raped by demons and what not but I'm not sure about my degree of involvement in those scenes...just putting that out there.
