Colony 0 was an odd situation. It had been created for the sheer experimentation of mutagens to find those that could be used to strengthen the human genome and those that would be dangerous to the people. It was the home of the scientist’s families and even some of the technicians who could not live on the satellite due to size. Many cycled from the satellite in groups you spent 2 to 4 weeks on, and then 2 to 4 weeks off. And you kept detailed notes about what you did in the time you were there so the person coming in behind you could simply continue the work – without having to backtrack.
Or at least that was how it was supposed to go. Something had happened and now the colony had gone completely dark. The scientists on the satellite had called an S.O.S after they sent their own contingency of marines down and none of them came back. So they had been sent. Special forces, a contingent of 6 marines. A bio-engineer, an engineer, two specialists and two heavy hitters, Himself being one of them. You didn’t call for someone of his specialties without specific needs in this case – wipe out anything on the colony that moves. He was particularly skilled in all weapons and he had a system that was immune to pretty much everything. They had actually adapted the genome of his people to be put into stem packs for temporary use from humans. It was not approved for long term use yet. Because even though the genome was altered it still began to affect the DNA of those who dealt with it. His DNA in short was hostile.
On the ship he didn’t take off his mask, or most of his armor. His body was long, lean and solid. His face was almost human in size, but the mouth was in three segments. The upper lip actually split in the middle and went up the cheek, while the lower Jaw came down, with particularly nasty teeth inside. His head was also oblong shaped with armor that rose off of it by a couple of inches up to a back plate half a foot back from his head. These where both for sensing danger and protecting from it. On most planets they didn’t come into effect, he didn’t need them – on this one they could be handy with the mutigens that would be in the air. His legs where ditrigrade, with long powerful toes that stretched out to give him enough leverage to run and walk without trouble, and powerful legs that let him hoist heavy objects, throw them, dismantle and jump massive distances. Barrel chested and built like a rock. The Alien took up the bulk of the back of the ship beside the hatch. He was easily 7 foot closer to 8.
As the ship landed he got up as the hatch opened and climbed down, the gun he carried was little less than an automatic artilery cannon. Slung over one shoulder as he looked around, The mask stayed in place, the helmet protecting lungs that didn’t like Oxegen as much as his companions from burning, More for comfort than anything else.
“W-welcome!” Someone cried. “I-I –I wi-i—sh it was b-b-better cer-r-r-mstances.” He rushed.
The alien gave a faint twitching of his lips that no one saw under the black Mask. “If it where better, we couldn’t’ be here.” Risac stated in a soft - steady voice.
