War had always been apart of the world since the dawn of mankind, there was always someone or something looking to control the world or parts of it. This never changed even with the passage of time war would always be around. Mankind has always lead the way in creating brutal ways of killing each other and those around them. Even now as Mathew Price does his best to work on the books of the family's business, he can't help but think back to days gone by. He remembered the time when everyone thought that he was human. Back in the days when he stalked the night as a hunter of creatures who feed upon innocent humans. Mathew had been at one time a Priest, but not just any Priest. He was a member of a special order called The Angels of Death. The members of this order protected mankind from vampires and lycans. It would take years for Mathew to find out that he was in fact killing his own kind. While it was true that Mathew killed human, those humans were serving either the vampires or the lycans.
Mathew learned the truth of his past from his mother who had had thought was dead. She however was living in this very house where Mathew made his home. Mathew's world had been turned upside down when he learned that the man whom he had been tracking for years was really his father. Andros Adonis had always been a bitter enemy to Mathew. Their hatred for each other finally ended after the truth came out. Mathew just couldn't keep his mind on the books for the family winery. Brimstone wine was famous around the world and made Mathew's family very rich. But Andros was rich long ago, his first wife who was a vampire was herself was wealthy. Upon her death, she left millions to Andros whom she had made a vampire. No one really knew how old Andros was. Even Mathew could only guess, but a paper that he once saw dated Andros back to the early 1800's.
Mathew was deep in thought when one of the human maids of Brimstone Manor brought in a newspaper and laid it on the desk. He thanked the young girl who bowed to him then left. Mathew picked up the paper, his eyes looked over the stories then he slammed his fist down onto the heavy wooden desk with great anger over what he read." The pope has turned a blind eye to what the Nazi's are doing to the Jewish people! " Mathew yelled out as Andros looked up at his son from the book that he was reading. " He sits in Rome on his fat ass and does nothing to help.......it's like he doesn't care! " Mathew said then stood up slamming the paper down on the desk and walking towards a large window that looked out into the gardens. While Mathew looked out into the darkness he remembered the first time that he saw the German tanks roaring down the road in front of the manor. It was just after the fall of Pairs, Mathew and his children, Lillian & Andrew watched as the tanks and troops passed down the road during that late afternoon in June. France had fallen so quickly, it seemed like a terrible nightmare.
