Yuki climbed quietly out the window, her heart beating against her chest. Looking at the ground, she gulped as she looked down, one hand clasped tightly on the window sill. She couldn't be here anymore, tired of the beatings and the pain. She had taken her only chance, praying that he wouldn't come home early. She had done everything he had said that week, and he had let her stay in his room, unbound. She was looking out the window, scared of the fall, but more afraid of what her Master would do to her once her found out her plan. She shivered as she remembered that last time she had tried to run away. Shaking her head, she looked back out of the window, her tail curling tightly. Shutting her eyes, she leaped from the building, thankfully landing on her feet and not getting harmed to badly. She immeditly started to run, trying hard to keep to the shadows. Terrifed her Master would find her and punish her, she countied to run, eventually making it into the city. She was extremly lost, and had no idea where she was going. She slinked down an alley way, knowing that if she was seen, she would be taken and sold to a whole new master, or be sent back to her old Master, and she knew he would punish her for it.

She walked for a little while, rubbing her arms in the cold. Jerking her head, she heard some men talking about runaway slaves. Hearing all she needed, she started to run, refusing to be caught and dragged back to that horrible house. She kept running, panting as she began to run out of breath. She didn't see the boy until she crashed into him, her thoughts jumbled as he pulled her away, and she stared at his ears, sighing in relif. Running with him, she waited until she thought they were safe, leaning against a wall and panting.

She looked up at him, her eyes filled with confusion and questions.

Stuart ran so fast he feared his heart would explode. He glanced back at the buildings behind him and saw the light of a fire against the dark backdrop of a midnight sky.

He was tall for a neko, with a light grey fur and black stripes. His tail was tucked into his pants making him less obvious at a distance. He was very athletic with a slim muscular build.

His people were being hunted by the humans. Their racism had been growing steadily for decades, until finally a few weeks ago it reached a climax. Now ever since the 'Neko Pestilence' Act was approved, they were considered to be an inferior species worthy of slavery, rape and genocide. The city was in a chaotic civil war, and Nekos were losing quickly.

As he was about to run past an alleyway, a girl came flying out of it, knocking them both over. His claws came out instinctively and he was about to slash at her but noticed the tail. He retracted his claws and grabbed her arm, turning her in the direction he was running.

"This way, come on!" He yelled and started running again. It was a hopeless attempt to escape the city walls, but what other option was there.

Meanwhile, Kenneth followed slowly behind them in his car. Not getting too close, just close enough to watch where they were heading. "Dirty cat-folk" he said to himself and spat out the window.

She countied to lean against the wall, to tired to run anymore. She wrapped an arm around her stomach, breathing hard as she leaned over. She countied to pant, having been running for the better part of three hours. She just couldn't run anymore. She couldn't stand to go back, and she pushed herself towards the city walls, praying there would be someway out. She looked back at the boy following her, wondering how he had ended up in this horrible way of life, thinking back to how she became stuck here.

She had been a few years younger, happy and carefree. She lived happliy with her family, untill one day when a horad of human men came into her home and started to destroy everything. Other familys had escaped, but in trying to help her little sister, she had been cauptered. For years till this day, she had been raped, beaten, and sold off like an object. She had hated every moment of it, and always thought of escape. Finally getting the chance, she was determined to fight her way out.

She looked back at the boy, wondering where he had come from.

((Sorry for the delay. Also, continuity issues so far are confusing the hell out of me...))
He continued to lead her away from the city and escape into the forest beyond. They were so close to the walls of the city, but it was completely blocked off. They would have to find a way over...or under. He looked back and saw a vehicle following them in the distance. "We're being followed" He panted. When they reached the next alley he turned into it and leapt onto a fire escape going up the side of the building. It would have been too high for a human to jump, but not hard for a neko.

He looked back waiting, for the mysterious girl to follow him. As they scrambled all the way up the vehicle parked at the entrance of the alley. Stuart eventually reached the rooftop and helped her up. They were safe for now, but trapped in the long run.

"Who the hell are you?" He asked.
