Yuki climbed quietly out the window, her heart beating against her chest. Looking at the ground, she gulped as she looked down, one hand clasped tightly on the window sill. She couldn't be here anymore, tired of the beatings and the pain. She had taken her only chance, praying that he wouldn't come home early. She had done everything he had said that week, and he had let her stay in his room, unbound. She was looking out the window, scared of the fall, but more afraid of what her Master would do to her once her found out her plan. She shivered as she remembered that last time she had tried to run away. Shaking her head, she looked back out of the window, her tail curling tightly. Shutting her eyes, she leaped from the building, thankfully landing on her feet and not getting harmed to badly. She immeditly started to run, trying hard to keep to the shadows. Terrifed her Master would find her and punish her, she countied to run, eventually making it into the city. She was extremly lost, and had no idea where she was going. She slinked down an alley way, knowing that if she was seen, she would be taken and sold to a whole new master, or be sent back to her old Master, and she knew he would punish her for it.
She walked for a little while, rubbing her arms in the cold. Jerking her head, she heard some men talking about runaway slaves. Hearing all she needed, she started to run, refusing to be caught and dragged back to that horrible house. She kept running, panting as she began to run out of breath. She didn't see the boy until she crashed into him, her thoughts jumbled as he pulled her away, and she stared at his ears, sighing in relif. Running with him, she waited until she thought they were safe, leaning against a wall and panting.
She looked up at him, her eyes filled with confusion and questions.
