Death themed role play requests
I feel I should have a role play request page since I've been here a while and posted nothing. Nothing! The truth is the ideas I've come across on other people's request threads or have otherwise been suggested to me have kept me more than busy. Anyway, its high time to put something out there.
The theme of the now is death. Yes, death. I'm craving role plays that somehow revolve around death, dying, transition and transformation. Below are four very basic plot starters I thought up. Feel free to PM me with suggestions of how they could be adapted or your own ideas. I may add some more ideas later, or some other theme will get the focused on instead.

Plot starters
----- Afterlife
Two friends who have grown apart over time happen to die within a day of each other. Rather than cease to exist they transition to a new life in a town that bears a striking resemblance to the one they both grew up in. They have no memory of their previous death and assume they've always lived in the town. What they don't know and therefore can't appreciate is how much easier things are for them now. People in their town don't age, they are free of serious physical and mental disease, no one needs to work since food, fuel and housing is simply given away as if infinite in supply and there is no government or institutions in general since no one requires them.
The friends grow closer together and more curious about the world around them, especially odd inconsistencies they notice about their reality that most seem oblivious to. As they explore further they uncover great secrets, eventually realizing something that terrifies them: They are both dead and will slowly fade into nothingness.
I expect this plot to have a strong romantic theme and for the town the friends explore to have many strange and fantastical aspects to it, once inspected. Character development will be influenced by the freedom from much of ordinary human suffering. Death is an exception to this, though the friends will be unaware of it until later in the story.
----- Too much change can kill a marriage
A deep space exploration team fall ill after an expedition to an asteroid. Although they observe rigorous quarantine procedures the ship they're on becomes contaminated with extremophile alien pathogens. The illnesses the pathogens cause are severe. A husband and wife are the last left alive. The man seems unaffected while the woman is deteriorating rapidly. Moments after she dies she springs back to life. Only, to her husband she doesn't appear to be the same person. Changes to her character are accompanied by physical distortions in her body. The changes are subtle at first, though disturbing. As they become more pronounced she realizes she can control her physical form with practice.
Although she understands that she is no longer human the woman/alien clings to the identity of the person it killed. With no one else on board but the husband she obsesses over him. Meanwhile he has to deal with what's happened to her as well as his own metamorphosis: He swings between odd murderous impulses to kill his wife and an overpowering desire to have sex with her. The two impulses eventually seem to coalesce into one. Has he become infected in some way too? Will he end up killing her? Or will her shape shifting experiments become too clumsy and kill him by accident before he gets the chance?
This plot can go in all sorts of directions. I'm already imagining way more detail than I included above. The way the story flows can be frightening, sexy, romantic or all of those things and more. As with almost all plot ideas I have I'm up for playing either character; the changing alien or the confused partner. I'd like the ending to involve the sadness and perhaps madness of one partner losing the other.
----- Nightmare Mall
A couple with sociopathic tendencies are fantasizing about abducting and raping people they're watching as they sit and eat at a restaurant at the mall they work at. One person particularly stands out to them. They work themselves up to actually trying to grab them. After luring them into a disused storage room they knock out their victim and leave them bound in a secure box, waiting for the mall to close before they come back to fetch them. When they return they're surprised to find nothing but a mannequin. This panics them and they run.
To their dismay they seem to be trapped. Every potential exit has been reinforced to prevent them leaving. As they search in vain for a way to get out the eerie stillness of the empty mall is interrupted by a series of incredibly loud deep thuds. What follows is a nightmarish fight against a terrifying predator. They eventually succumb to its efforts to kill them yet death is not the end. After their conscious spark is snuffed out it is somehow rekindled. They wake as if from a long sleep, climbing out of the box they stuffed their abduction target into and the cycle repeats. Each time they are killed by a different predator in a different way.
With this one I'm interested in exploring very physical aspects of dying - the discomfort and struggle against it. Think 'Final Destination' but way weirder. How the characters come to terms with the inevitability of experiencing death over and over would be a big plot point too. Taking turns to write the predator(s) would be great, seeing what can be devised each time. If you're interested in sexualising the predators somehow that would be doable too.
I'd like the character you write to have a motive or coping mechanism beyond mere survival instinct. Maybe they were once a religious devotee of some sort and that comes out. They could lose their mind to escapist fantasies. Perhaps they feel desperate to atone for a terrible event in their past or for who they've become. Whatever you can think of that you'd find curious to include.
----- Death my savior
While on a long hike in the wilderness a woman (or man) falls down a ravine. They suffer horrific injuries. None are immediately fatal though that's hardly solace. They're in a great deal of pain, isolated without any help and are desperately frightened of dying alone in the cold wilderness. More than anything its the meaninglessness of passing away without anyone knowing about it they seem to fear the most. Becoming delirious they hallucinate the figure of death approaching them. Even though they know what it represents they're so relieved to have some other being of any sort there with them they reach out to the figure. In doing so the figure is transformed into someone from their past. The encounter is astonishing, surreal and beautiful. They take strength from it - enough to accept what is happening to them and perhaps even embrace the meaninglessness behind it all.
Ok, this is fairly straight forward. Its romantic, high emotion stuff and short in length though deep in scope. So-called god-modding is allowed in this plot since the characters will have the power in the situation they're in to change how the other is, e.g. The dying person transforms death to someone they need and love. Death transforms via delusion the dying person into their previously healthy state, at least until they can cope with the reality of what's happening to them.

General Information
I like role plays through PMs or IMs, preferring those mediums over forum based threads.
Though it might not be all that relevant for the role play plots I've posted today I should mention I like equally writing characters who engage in consensual sex or characters that engage in non-consensual sex. Anything in the spectrum from kindly saints to brutal monsters is great. Most of the characters I write are dominant. It isn't a strong preference, merely a response to demand. Usually I write heterosexual male characters. That habit is more tied to who I am.
When it comes to ons/offs you should go ahead and assume I'm kinky as hell, depending on the context of the role play. I like partners who have deviant erotic imaginations too and are open to new ideas. Its more fun that way. If I click on your F-list or equivalent and there are too many things in the 'No - never' section I'll probably worry about you a little then move on. Here is my generic F-list.
Regarding quality of writing I'm literate enough to write a half decent story. If you can write well enough to help bring it to life then that's great. I'm not aspiring to become a novelist or anything like that. I'm here simply to have fun. Beyond that my main concern is that you're having fun too. If someone is a much better writer than me or much worse then that can be awkward, though I'll say so if I feel that way.
Depending on mood and role play setting you get extra points for the following:-
I like to be overloaded. By that I mean I like themes and characters that are too much. High kinkiness, taboo themes and excess of all kinds will definitely wake me up. I like to push boundaries or have them obliterated altogether. More often than not it will be a favorite feature of a role play, if it is a feature. Something you should know is that physical violence is more shocking to me than your most deviant sexual kink. That is, unless you get off on violence. Heh. In any case violence is included as an 'overload'.
I like high strangeness. You may have noticed this already. I've found that role plays that have surreal, bizarre, experimental and exotic elements will make me want to explore them. I love otherworldly characters and stories. If they fire up my imagination enough a role play can seem to write itself. I only have to sit back and watch. I also don't mind if the experimental nature of strange role plays fall flat. Its always worth a try. Note that I don't mind if role plays include no 'adult' content if they're sufficiently weighty in weird.
Lastly, I don't have as much time as I'd like to write role plays so I have to ration partners. If you PM me about starting something new I might really want to do that but if I'm oversubscribed then current role play partners always get preference.
Er, um, I think that's it for now until the next 'theme' I want to role play with burbles up from my psyche.
