Looking for a female to play the part of an Elven maiden for a little RP I'd like to try. Hoping someone will take me up on this; I guarantee, I am experienced and literate. Also, I'd like to add more of a plot to this RP, besides the "fun stuff" (which there will be plenty of also).
For thousands of years, the High Elves have lived, shut away from the outside world by a double layer of protection.
Persecuted for their generally patronizing and egotistical culture, the High Elves long ago withdrew to a final redoubt far from the rest of civilization. They built their stronghold in the middle of a great forest, constructing a massive city in which they could live autonomously. Surrounding their city was an enormous wall, 50 meters tall and 40 meters wide, with no purchases on the outside for an adversary to climb, and too tall to be scaled by ladders. There was but a single gate to the city, equally massive, and utterly immovable from without.
On top of this, the High Elves used their darkest magic to transform the forest in which they had made their home.
The forest grew to twice its original, considerable size, becoming even thicker and more impassable than before. It became the lair of many monsters and outlaws, a place where no-one dared to go.
Thus thoroughly insulated from the outside world, High Elf culture became even more inward focused and strict. It began to stagnate; changes to existing customs and traditions were all but forbidden, and stricter and stricter punishments were imposed on those who violated even the most minor of the increasingly complex system of laws and regulations which governed day-to-day life.
One young Elven maiden, a former noble in one of the great Royal Houses, has broken one of these laws. Speaking out of turn at a public gathering during which she was to be married off to an unattractive suitor, she has been sentenced with one of the harshest punishments that can be imposed by the High Elves on one of their own.
Banishment.
The High Elves prefer not to dirty their hands with execution, however, the creatures in the forest beyond the gates have no such qualms. Therefore, banishment is viewed as essentially a death sentence.
But it is not death that awaits the Elfess in the woods.
Not all the creatures who live beyond the city walls, it seems, are savage. The Elfess is found and taken in by a young Foxfolk male, who protects her and teaches her the ways of his people.
It is a liberating experience for the young maiden, and indeed, the free and honest life of the Foxfolk seems infinitely more appealing than what she has left behind. Not only that, but she quickly realizes that, despite their differences, her very male savior is far superior to the scores of suitors she has had to put up with in the past...
