Verisira was a little surprised when she walked into her room after her singing, dancing, and harp lessons to find a letter on her dresser addressed to her. She looked at the piece of paper for a moment, just wondering what it was, rather hoping it wasn't from one of the many sons of the various lords of the realm that were always trying to win her heart. Not that she really believed that it was her heart that they wanted, rather just her body and the throne. But no, luckily her parents weren't like others in the past making her marry as soon as she came of age... Then again, now that there were elves ruling the land there really wasn't too much of a need to do so was there? Her parents weren't worried about dying from age any time soon, and knew that their precious daughter would live even longer than they, so they decided it would be her decision as to who would be a suitable husband.
Curiosity tore through the young woman and she denied her first impulse to just rid herself of the paper without reading it first and opened it up. She quickly read the contents, rather shocked at what she was reading. She knew that their realm and that of the demons were at war, and had been for nigh on a decade now, and so was quite surprised to find that she was being personally written to by their princess. Not only that, but from the sound of it, she wanted to meet up and together try to end the war!
Verisira was quite shocked, but rather pleased at the possibility of ending this horrible war once and for all. The people would then always adore her and remember her as one of those responsible for bringing about their peace. Her name would live on beyond her own life and go down in stone. Verisira may not be the most ambitious person in the world, but she certainly did like the idea of everyone loving and respecting her for a better reason than just the fact that she was a princess.
She was told to meet her just outside the castle walls at twilight. She would be in disguise and they could talk there. This seemed to be the only thing that might even be slightly difficult, but it really shouldn't be too hard. She commonly walked out to mingle with the subjects in the town surrounding the castle, so it shouldn't be too hard... She just couldn't be caught sneaking out that late at night.
After dinner, Verisira went to her room to get changed. She loved her pretty dresses, but it would make things a bit difficult if someone found out that it was the princess walking out this late and not just one of the maids leaving to go home and visit her family. She put on her most common looking outfit that she had never really gotten the chance to wear yet and made her way to their rendezvous point.
She had to sneak around to get there, but finally she arrived where she had been told to wait in the letter. Now all that was left was to wait for the other to arrive and they could get their secret meeting underway.
