"By the Gods Victor! What the Hell?" Second in command Joshua Greywind asked, watching the the smoldering ruins of the Elf camp ahead of him. Standing right by him was One Victor Bran; Himself, second in command of the Mordred vampire clan. Second in command of the clan head known as Adam. Sighing quietly he responded.

"I don't know second. I knew my orders but I..." He closed his eyes tightly it had happened so fast.

Victor Kane is a man who is normally in full control of his emotions. He tended to be the most logical of the Mordred clan. However, upon scouting a certain group of Nomadic elves, something within him triggered something which pushed him to act for the first time in a hundred years emotionally.

"Your well aware of the fact that you and that we were sent out to bring the exiled races into our little kingdom peacfilly" Joshua had so carefully stressed that last word. "You have been doing well acting as the kings voice by this what possessed you to ambush these elves?"

Taking a deep breath Victor spoke. "It was that woman. That chiefs daughter. The moment I saw her something within me triggered. My blood boiled and I had certain thoughts."

Certain thoughts was an understatement. When he was spying on the the elves and tracking their movements. The sight of the chefs daughter caused something more then a couple of weird thoughts. They triggered an insatiable lust that caused Victor to order and ambush.

"Dear Lord! You went through recognition? Really? Fuck my life. Well now that you have regained your senses How do you propose to fix this one lover boy?"

Ignoring the snide comment, The vampire second in command thought carefully. Really there was only one option he could do now that this debacle had happened. He wasn't going to like it.
"Bring the Chief to my tent. I have a proposal for him."

Hours later, after meeting with the chief. Both of the men had stepped out of their tent.
"Bring my daughter here!" The chief ordered one of his closest guards. The Guard nodded. Joshua approached Victor.

"What kind of deal did you work out?" He asked. Victor gazed at him his expression unreadable.
"In order to secure their protection. I am to marry the Elf Chief's daughter."

"Not exactly an Ideal solution." Josua responded with a bit of destain in his voice

"Its the best we could do right now."

Mei was pulled forward by the guards, her arms red from their grip as they tried their best to force her into running. They wouldn't tell her what her father had to see her so quickly for, but it couldn't be good if they were this worried. Her fathers clan of nomads had been ambushed earlier that day, but as far as she knew that was all over. Mei was truly a sight. Her father chalked it up to a mutation, but she had blue hair, despite elves usually having varying shades of brown. Her blue hair now hung down and blew in the breeze, several braids in it. When they finally reached the tent and she was let do Mei rubbed her arms. "What?" she asked, seeing the grim look on her fathers face and the vampire who had ambushed them smiling at her with an odd expression.

Victor appraised her carefully now that she was up close. He turned his head to the chief and nodded. The chief nodded back and looked at her.
"Mei. I am truly sorry that it has come to this. But we have no choice. With our clan constantly attacked by those brutal Wild Born, and with the recent deaths of our strongest warriors. We have no choice but to swear allegiance to the newly formed and growing Dawn Kingdom. In order to do that, Victor here will take your hand in marriage. It's the only way we can truly survive this land. Exile from the old lands is hard on us. Swearing allegiance is the only way to survive."

It wasn't exactly the most elegant of solutions, and it was not one that was really desired by Adam. Originally Victor was to go and peacefully persuade the elves to join an alliance with them. Perhaps have them even join their kingdom. However, This was no longer the case. Victor would marry the elven daughter, and with the marriage the the tribe would be bound to the kingdom. With the marriage the elves would also have a greater sway in the Kings council granting them more power. Something Adam would not be happy about.

"Will tend to your wounded and bury your dead." Victor responded his voice steady and even. "Will then take you to the capital and have our wedding there and then."

Chief gazed at his daughter his eyes filled with sadness. "I really am sorry."

Mei glanced from the vampire, back to her father, forcing the tears that so desperately wanted to fall to stay put. she wanted no part in marrying him, not after what he had done today to their small city. She gave a small nod though, and went to hug her father tightly around the neck. "I understand." As much as Mei hated what she was going to have to do, it was to help her fathers people, and eventually one day hers. She made her way over to Victor, and gave him a weak smile, bowing ever so slightly. "Hello." There was so much said in that one small word.

So much to say indeed. Now that she was closer though, something about her set him off once again. Victor wanted to right there and then grab her and take her to one of the nearby tents and ravage her endlessly. He imagined himself rubbing his head against her brilliant sapphire hair and his lips on those nipples of hers. Lucky for both of them. He had a great semblance of self control His more cold and logical side still remaining in full control

"My name is Victor Kane,The Kings Right Hand. It is pleasure to meet you." His tone was formal. Even if his thoughts ran on the more wild side. "Once everything is settled, We'll travel to Capital immediately. I fear this battle has weakened both sides. If don't leave here soon we'll be under the attack by some of the more wilder natives."

After everything was pretty much settled between the vampire warriors and the elven clan, both elf tribe and vampire troops found themselves travel against the long road. Victor had the Chief and Mei ride right by him as the the band of travelers followed the road to "Swords End" the capital of the slowly budding empire. Most of the journey was silent, with Victor trying to find a way to open a conversation with the daughter but her earlier reluctance was something that held him back. Perhaps once they reached the capital things will get better. In the mean time he spoke with the chief about citizen ship to the new Kingdom.

"Lord Adam wants to create a land where all races can walk without ridicule and scorn. A place where we won't have to suffer the genocide or enslavement that happened so often to those not human in the old world. Your lives will improve. I swear it."

"We'll see about that. So far from your actions, it seems you seek to conquer us..." The chief responded his eyes clearly cold.

Victor stayed silent after that moment. It would not do to argue back with the chief. Especially in front of his daughter. As for explaining the reason why he attacked. Well explaining Recognition would be complicated as all hell. There really was not polite way of saying "Every once in a while A member of the Mordred Clan would gain an intense sexual craving for a women who's soul resonates with his, and thus the said Vampire would do everything to claim that girl for his own."

After days on end and a straining journey both physically and emotionally the group finally arrived at "Swords End." The city was only built fifty years ago, yet it still grow quite a bit because of the exiled races that have decided to join and swear fealty to the King. It was large and once the group entered the city, they were greeted by a most pleasant of sights. Races working together. There were Dwarven Merchants dealing in weaponry with Orchish Shamans and warriros. Vampires and Wolf Folk drinking at taverns. Over all a peaceful place.

They continued on until they reached Caste Lancel. Which liked at the very center off city. IT is there that King Adam went to greet them.
"Welcome Chief Rondo!" Adam said, giving the group a warm smile " To the dawn republic as well as the city which will act as it's heart. Right this way. I'll have my men escort you people to a near by barracks and once your ready we can begin dinner. Dinner will be in a few hours. Victor" Adam called out to his Right hand "A moment for your time."

Victor nodded and met with Adam in a private corner.
"I got the messenger about your little mishap."Adam said his tone lined with disappointment. Victor bowed quietly.
"I'm sorry my Lord, It was not my intention. to"

"I know." Adam said dismissive. "Not exactly, the group of people who'd I want to have as a power house in the King's Council But there could be worse. Listen, Take my Guards and show the Lady around town. I'll speak with the chief to get things settled. The Girl from the look of her could use more time to get used to you."

"Yes my Lord." Victor nodded. Calling some of his own guards to his side, He approached Mei and gave her a reassuring smile. The smile though felt false in his lips.
"While things are getting settled with your Tribe. I am to show you around the city, you'll love it I'm sure."

She smiled back, though it was a pained smile, and nodded. "Yes, I'm sure I will." Mei really wanted no part in this man, but it was what her father had agreed to, and she couldn't make him look like a fool by refusing him. "When are we to be married?" Even though Mei didn't want to marry him, she was excited for the wedding. All girls dreamed about what their wedding would be like from the time their were young, and she never even dreamed that she would be married here. Most elves married themselves in a small clearing in the center of the forest.

"Whenever will be decided by your Father and my King. It will be part of the marriage date." The vampire responded, summoning the guards through a messenger. The guards came quickly enough and urging them forward, they followed him and the Elven maiden in question out to town.

"We can go shopping for your wedding dress, as well as pick up some gifts for you." Victor suggested, as they made their way into the part of the market place consisting of tailors. "It really is up to you my lady.

She sighed but nodded. "Sure, looking for a wedding dress sounds nice." Mei gave him a soft smile, but there was a hint of sadness in her eyes. She wondered why they were being followed by guards, did they not trust the two of them alone together. "Why are the guards here, if I might ask?"

"For our protection. Though I can tell you that I am more the adequate to protect both of us. If do not feel comfortable then I'll be more then happy to dismiss them." Victor responded as they made their way to one of the most skilled tailors in the city. His mind was working on a way to help smooth the idea of a new life with him. As they entered the shop known as the "Doves Flight" He had asked the guards to wait outside sot that they may talk more amongst themselves.

"Ah Lord Victor it is a pleasure meeting you." Said an older women dressed in silk and satins. Her hair was blond and she had the greenest of eyes.

"Yes and I take it your the Lady in charge here?" Victor responded with a nod.

"I am Madam Sindel My Lord what is it I can do for you today.

"We're in need of a wedding dress the lady here is to wed me soon"

Madame Sindel's head turned towards Mei, her eyes scanning her up and down. The most joyous of smiles graced her lips.

"Of course! Of course! Such a beauty. You are certainly one lucky lord. Come my lady, and Let me show you what we have to offer."
