Altair was walking in the small patch of forest in the park to get home. It was late and he wanted to get home as soon as he could. There had been rumors circulating that there was a werewolf lurking in the park. Unfortunately the park was the shortest way for Altair to get home.

Altair was half way through the little forest patch when he heard someone come up behind him. What he saw was not human, but in fact it was the rumored werewolf everyone talked about. It looked like it was on its last leg, when it made its last final attack and Altair happened to be its final victim. The rogue werewolf jump on Altair and clawed and bit him, Altair screamed until the werewolf made its final bit into Altair's shoulder then took off.

Altair laid there for what seemed like forever, but then he heard something else coming and his first instinct was to scream for help. Dakoda wasn't far from Altair when he started screaming help.. Dakoda rushed up to him and shined her flash light and what she saw was like a scene from a movie. She pulled out her cell phone and dialed 911.

When help finally arrived Altair was in and out of consciousness. the medics took him to the hospital and the police took Dakoda's statement and then released her, but told her if they had any other questions they would contact her. A couple days went by and just about every where she looked there was that man's face, newspapers, on TV news, flyers, and poster. Talking about how he was attacked and thanks to a local woman survived his ordeal.

Now out of the hospital Altair tracked the woman down to not only thank her but since he knew what the werewolf did to him, it was his mission to make that woman his mate.
 
Altair shot up in his bed with a gasp and he was sweating from the dream again. It was that dream. He was attacked by a werewolf and he was close to dying and then there was a flash of light and a feminine voice that sounded so soothing. But in the dream things branched off into different ways. Sometimes he would rise up and chase after the woman. Sometimes he would be human chasing after her in a field of flowers. Sometimes she even whispered to him of how powerful of a werewolf he would become some day. Altair was skeptical of him actually becoming a werewolf at first since he didn't feel much different.

But he did recover from his wounds pretty quickly. And slowly over the few days after his attack he was showing signs of being supernatural. He was stronger. Altair was a college student and he liked to keep in shape but when he lifted weights they felt like feathers to him. He was athletic as well and was part of the football team. He could run faster now and his hand eye coordination never failed. It was going to be a good season. But most recently he confirmed that he was indeed a werewolf and would be changing the next full moon. Walking home late one night after having way to much fun he was down by the river with a few friends and they all dared to jump it. Everyone else failed miserably but Altair cleared the river with ease.

Altair checked his clock and was 6:00 PM. He needed to get out of town tonight because he wasn't sure if like in the movies he would have a bloodlust or not. He got out of the bed already being clothed from earlier and was out the door quickly. He decided to walk into town today seeing as he would probably be leaving his car behind anyways. He strolled into town leisurely and as usual he looked around. He was supposed to meet up with Dakota tonight. He wanted to see her before he shifted for his first time. He wanted to make one happy moment because he didn't know whether or not things were about to change forever.
 
Dakoda was working in the local coffee shop in town. Altair was swinging by just before she was suppose to get off work, she wouldn't have much time to sit and chit chat with him today since the manager left and went home sick with the flu or whatever it was he caught. it was almost 6:30pm when Altair came in.. "Be right with you Altair" Dakoda shouted over the loud chatter from the other customers. When Altair heard her say that he found an empty table and waited for her.

When Dakoda was free she went and sat down with a glass of water and took a 5 minute break. "So how are you Altair? It's nice to see your getting better!" She said as as she noticed how well he was recovering. She noticed that he seemed a little up tight about something but she didn't want to push since he was still recovery from the attack now almost a week ago. "Got any thing planned tonight Altair?" Dakoda asked hoping maybe they could go watch a movie when she got off work.

She was starting to like Altair, he had a great personality, and wasn't like the last guy she dated who was more into his video games then into her. "Would you like to go and watch a movie later after I get off work?" She asked figuring it wouldn't hurt to ask. "I'm mean that is if your not too busy tonight." She added not wanting to sound like a clingy person.
 
Altair walked into the coffee shop to see his little vixen and she was busy attending to her customers so he took a seat. He watched her closely as she handle the eager customers and seeing her work so hard made him smile. She wasn't too far away but far enough to begin that he couldn't see every defining aspect of her body. However the more he tried to look the easier it was until his vision was so acute that it was as if she was standing right in front of him. This made Altair even more worried about the full moon tomorrow. It was confirmed now he had been feeling it lately but today being so close everything was almost in motion for his change. He could feel it his inner wolf was awakening and it was speaking to him more frequently. Even now as he looked at Dakoda his inner wolf was pacing back and forth anxious to get to her.

It wasn't until she was free and coming towards him that his wolf stopped pacing and nagging him and go quiet. When she sat down he was all smiles. "Yeah I feel on top of the world." Really it felt like he had the power to take over the world now. She asked him about his plans tonight and really he just wanted to be solitary while he figured out this werewolf stuff. But even if he tried his inner wolf would be howling to get back to Dakoda. Would be restless and agitated. Right now Dakoda was his anchor and just by being there was making the changing process easier. Her words struck something inside him and it wasn't only his inner wolf that was happy she was interested in him.

"Sure a movie sounds great. I think I need to relax tonight." He did need the escape because tomorrow he would be in for it. By tomorrow afternoon he would tell people he was going out camping and would head deep into the forest. When he changed he wanted to be as far away from civilization as possible.

"Great I get off in about 45 minutes wanna hang around till than?" Dakoda asked. She stood up and went to the counter to wait on some more customers that had just walked through the door. Dakoda got busy and forgot about Altair sitting at the table. Before she knew it, it was closing time and she ushered the remaining customers out so she could clean up and then close the shop up. "Ready to go?" She asked Altair walking back to the table.
 
Altair was happy to wait for Dakoda to finish up and he waited patiently. His wolf surprisingly was patient as well and they just watched her in awe. Altair already knew his wolf wanted claim on Dakoda and he was coming around to that idea as well. It wasn't just the primal want that his wolf was feeling but the actual loving affection. In no time it was time to head out and Dakoda was walking back to him. "Sure I'm ready when you are." He was glad he brought his wallet along and also happy that the movie theatres wasn't that far away either.
 
"sorry to make you wait like that... My manager left and went home early because he came down with the flu or something so that left me there by myself." Dakoda said apologetically "So what movie shall we see?" she asked as the two of of them walked down the street to the movie theater.
 
"Its cool its cool. Don't worry about it I have noting but time on my hands. Besides getting out of the dorms is supposed to be healthy right?" He smiled brightly and reached for her hand intertwining her fingers in his. "I don't know this new werewolf movie just came out. You wanna go see it?" It was too ironic to be funny. But Altair figured he might as well watch what his life would be turning into.
 
"Sure a werewolf movie sounds great. I've been wanting to see a werewolf movie." Dakoda said She laughed when he mentioned getting out of the dorms. "Yeah I guess so." Dakoda remembered she had homework that was due in a couple days but she figured she would pull an all nighter to get it done. "So what is you major?" she asked Altair. realizing that she was starting to like him.
 
Altair was happy to hear that she was up for a werewolf movie as well. She was an interesting girl and his wolf was taking pride in his choice of a mate. That thought surprised his human half. A mate... that was permanent and forever. Was she ready for such a commitment and to a werewolf at that? The truth had been buried by the doctors claiming that he was attacked by a regular wolf. But Altair knew better he knew what was coming and he was going to have to change his life style to fit it. Dakoda's next question broke his thoughts however. "Oh my major is Acting and Zoology. Gotta have a back up plan." He smiled brightly but inside his was laughing at the irony of his situation now. "What about you? What did such a fine girl like yourself choose as your major?"
 
"Well I'm going for either as a doctor or a vet. Not sure yet, but I guess I'll figure it out." Dakoda said. They arrived at the movies and went in and bought their tickets and Dakoda got her some popcorn and a drink since she had eaten since breakfast. They went and found their seats and sat down, they still had a little time before the movie started. Dakoda asked "So what are you doing tomorrow night?"
