The continents as we know have been blighted, poisoned, and inhabited by new heartless and cruel creatures that maim, torture, and rapes whatever it encounters. It's been centuries living on the surrounding islands and now the truth of what has happened is shrouded in myth. Though, in that myth states some hope somewhere lost on the Blighted Lands. Now it's a choice to remain aground and be sacrificed (a ploy to curb population growth) or take your chances on the Blighted Lands with a friend, or find a friend there.
Dumb and Dumber: Bound Together [Action & Adventure. FxF. Fantasy.]
Both of us have been captured by a slave trader and are on our way to fields for whatever job they assign us. On luck alone (because our blustering squabbles have cause for little else) we escape but we're still chained together. No money. No sense of direction (half the trip was blindfolded). And generally luck of their own left over, how do these two make it in a world of ruthless slave traders, raiders, and every other sort of ruffian?

You don't know why, but this person really wants possession of this one slave. This is a no questions business so you capture this girl, but you're instructed to bring her by foot and break her along the way. You'll be paid handsomely for your troubles and so any frustrations are silenced. Mostly. Until you get to breaking her. She's a fighter quite literally. Military service is deep in her blood. You have a long road ahead of you. Can you resist her charm? Do you have the patience to break her?
