High above the large compound of Stormvalley High School a transport carrier buzzed across the air. Inside a nervous Tony Stark stood in a suit of steel colored armor. He pressed an armored finger to the com piece on the helmet. "Dad," Tony asked, "Are you sure about this? I mean this is still a prototype." Howard Stark chuckled from the other end of the line. "Come on Tony, you and I built this and did all the calculations together. Two genius brains couldn't possibly get this wrong. Now just follow the plan and everything should be fine." Tony nodded and closed the open face of the helmet. He stepped out as the cargo door opened and took a deep breath before jumping off and activating the rockets in the suit. As he felt himsel fly through the air all of his inhibitions went out the door.

The students of class two-thousand-and-eleven were all currently packed into the school's hall, waiting anxiously for the first assembly of the year to begin. They were expecting the school principal to make his appearance any second and to deliver the usual humdrum speech, which is why the hall fell into shocked silence when they were instead greeted by the strum of a guitar...

"Welcome to the Jungle," the vocalist screamed as a suit of iron burst through the roof and slammed into the stage, landing crouched on one knee with his steel fist pressed against the floor. The platform was suddenly awash in multicoloured lights and fireworks as the steel-clad billionaire launched off the stage and flew over the gasping, wide-eyed, students, all while twirling and winding in tune with the Guns'N'Roses song; showing off his flying skills as well as the new Stark prototype. Unlike his usual outfit, the suit displayed a large array of weaponry, enough to warrant a bit of parental hate-mail no doubt. "So worth it," He thought as he gave the students a quick wink before ending the ostentatious display with one last flip and another heavy landing on the stage amid a final explosion of fireworks and lights. As the song died, Tony strutted toward the front of the platform, admiring the semi-casual whites and blues of the teens' assigned uniforms.

Placing both hands firmly on the podium, the seventeen year old began, "I think that's enough fun for one assembly, so allow me to simply welcome you all to Stormvalley High! I'm sure you're all going to love it here." He smiled, confident in his words. "Now, before I begin, I'd like to address a rumour I've heard floating about the halls, regarding the Avengers... All I can say is that Stark Industries is unaware of any metahuman presence within the school." He gave a moment's pause, to allow the message to sink in, before continuing, "The close proximity of the Avengers tower is merely a coincidence and the same could be said for any potential superhumans attending Stormvalley." Tony watched the reactions of the student-body, trying to gauge whether they believed him or not, before gazing out a nearby window to the tower which stood just across the street.

The Avengers Tower was similar to an apartment building, with each room individually crafted to suit the desires and personality of each Avenger. As a skyscraper the Avenger tower was by far taller than any other in the city, with the glassy panelling which covered its sleek exterior topped by an ancient monument of Asgard. It stood as a picture of simplicity and style, leaving many unaware of the extensive array of weapons and sensors which hid under its plain, glistening, surface. On the inside the tower was managed by an artificial intelligence system known as Jarvis, who attended to the needs of its occupants while ensuring a secure, functional, environment. Besides supplying the Avengers with refreshments as well as guest, entertainment and relaxation rooms, the tower also maintained several training centres, gyms, mission prep areas and modes of transport. The decor also changes from one room to the next, where one might be stylized in polished marble, another could have a more wooden, rustic, appeal. This was done in the hopes of giving the more redundant areas a little more character. Tony Stark had spared no expense and while he pretended that Stormvalley was simply another eccentric venture for the public, the truth was that it too was created for the benefit of the Avengers.

Returning his attention to the assembly before him, Stark continued, "And now I will leave you to your principal, Doctor Xander Rice, to explain the more boring details of life at Stormvalley High." With that Tony turned to the good doctor to make an exaggerated sweep of his hand, implying that the stage was all his. Xander, a tall, lean-muscled, man with dirty blonde hair, looked less than amused by Stark's antics. His russet-coloured eyes glared at him as he stood from his chair, adjusted his white lab coat, and approached the podium. The doctor then proceeded to highlight the rules and expectations of the school in a swift, no-nonsense, tone. He seemed to want to get the assembly out of the way as much as everyone else.

As he neared the end of his speech he noted, "Finally, we will be testing a new study program where we assign certain students into groups of three, or perhaps more. You'll receive more details once the groups have been formed." What Xander had failed to elaborate on was that each group was in actuality going to be treated as an Avenger squad, to teach them the importance of team work and coordination. Once the principal was finished Tony quickly announced the band's closing song "Highway to Hell" (an apparent joke) before flying right back out the hole he'd made on his entrance.

Many of the students started to shuffle their way out from the hall and into the courtyard, standing beneath the shade of the clouds which hid the morning sun. They chattered on excitedly about what the new year might bring, from general teen gossip to more politically orientated topics (such as the possible resurgence of Hydra). Or they simply kept to themselves, watching and waiting. A frozen yoghurt stand stood opposite the street, at the base of the Avengers building, while fields for various sport surrounded the students in the school grounds. The day was meant mostly for exploring and adjusting so nobody had to worry about class, or at least not yet....

Outside the auditorium a small beat up truck drove to the front of the school. The truck had a large circus logo blazened on the doors. Inside the truck was Clint Barton , his brother Bernard, and his friend and mentor Buck Chislom. Clint and his brother were runaways, orphaned at an early age and sick of being bounced around foster homes. They ended up at the circus as roustabouts and he was being trained by Buck also known as Trick Shot. Clint was looking down and sad, he would much rather be at the circus shooting arrows than this school and being a part of these so called Avengers. Buck saw this in Clint, "Clint, I know you don't want to be here but this a big deal. These SHIELD guys see what you can do and know how to put it to better use than just shooting targets in front of a crowd." Clint still was reluctant to get out of the car, but Bernard bolted right out of the car as soon as it stopped. Buck have Clint a nudge on the shoulder, "Come on kid, do it for me." Clint nodded his head and got his stuff, the school was a live in school so Clint had brought all of his clothes and marksman gear. He gave Buck one last look and got out of the truck. He gave Buck a wave goodbye and he left to the dorms.

On his way to the dorms a couple of big burly guys blocked his path. They were dressed in blue slacks, a white shirt, and a pressed blue sport coat, preppy kids. "Hey kid," One asked, "Did you get out of a truck that had the circus logo on it?" Clint responded, "Yes." They all laughed in unison while pointing at him, "Your a circus freak?! What are you, the human fish? The guy with a few extra limbs? A kid with no dick?!!!" That brought up more laughter. Clint pushed passed them and went on his way, a scowl now on his face....

Peter Parker swung over the skyline and towards his new High School. He had to admit that he was quite hesitant at first but Nick did make some good points about his future hero work as The Amazing Spider-Man, 'The Amazing' part of his name wasn't his, that was New Yorks little idea.

He arrived at the Stormvalley complex and swing towards the back to where he saw no one walking towards there. He set down behind the gym and pulled his backpack from off of his shoulder and opened it. He pulled out the uniform that the school enforced. He quickly buttoned the shirt the suit and pulled the pants on. He took off his gloves and slid the fair blue blazer on. The last things to go were his boots and mask, the gloves and those went right into the back pack. He smoothed out his brown hair and hustled over to the crowd to find out what was happening.

"Stupid." The only word that came from the female's mouth as she watched the parade of students enter and exit the building. Listening to the rambling of the professor, and watching the show off Tony Stark in his fancy suit and gimmicks. She cracked her neck and sighed. She wouldn't be here if SHIELD hadn't specifically asked. Her gaze flickered to circus truck and she watched the show unfold, her eyes narrowing and her hand catching the tag that hung around her neck as the larger boys laughed and threw their insults at the kid, as if they were anything special. She glanced at the words etched across the tag. Wolverine. She smirked to herself, and began to walk towards the scene, pulling a cigarette out of its pack as she came up to the preppy guys. She suddenly slammed one into the wall, barely resisting the urge to expose her claws.
She glance at him up and down, and let one claw slide from her hand, the middle one.
"Not having a dick isn't so funny now, huh bub?" She asked. Sometimes, she knew she was just looking for a fight...

Felicia Hardy
exited the limo, looking almost down on all the other students. She was not used to being in large groups of other kids, and she felt almost uneasy. It was to noisy, to busy. She sighed, typing up her hair with a black ribbon as she began to make her way through the crowd to find what the living situation was going to be like. She knew that due to her appearance she would be very underestimated here, but she didn't mind. It was almost a relief, then no one would be suspicious of what she was able to do. She smiled pleasantly to herself, glancing sideways at a boy with brown messy hair, who was walking rather swiftly through the crowd.
'He seems to know where he is going.' She thought curiously, beginning to follow him...
(Pardon my super short post. Wow. I must be far rustier than I thought.)

After getting the hell out of dodge from the auditorium Tony returned to the private Stark building on campus. He flew back into the workshop to find his hot rod, and father waiting for him. Tony landed on the mapped out area of the workshop and immediatley the floor split apart and a wide arty of robotic arms came out and gripped the various areas of the armor and began removing the plating and revealing Tony's prim and proper uniform all pressed and neat. Howard came over and have Tony a clap on the back, "Good job my boy! Now scrap the blueprints and open up another one." Tony was confused, "Wait, I thought the Iron Man project was ongoing?" Howard shook his head, "Tony that's just a publicity stunt, something to pull the attention away from the tower!" Tony wasn't so easy to give up on it. Howard saw this and recognized what Tony was feeling. He sighed before saying, "Look if you want to keep going on it fine, but don't expect any help from me." With that Howard took his leave. Tony remained in the workshop, mulling what his next move was. He tapped his feet, fiddled with his hands, and other various idiosyncrasies he did when he was thinking. Finally making a final decision he raised his head and spoke, "Jarvis," A robotic voice with a British accent responded back, "At your service sir." "Bring up the footage from the assembly and analyze the flaws in the armor. I'll review them when I get back." With that Tony took his leave and went to the local Ice Cream shop that was the popular bang out for the student body. Before he left he took a look in the mirror and saw that his Arc reactor wasn't shining through his shirt, "Good, the rubber polymer is holding up." He left to the ice cream shop.

He arrived at the shop to see the student population busing around. He weaved through the crowd, no one protesting at all, and ordered a big bowl of cookies and cream, his favorite. He stepped out and looked around at the students, "Pawns," Tony mumbled. 95% of these kids were fronts by S.H.I.E.L.D just to hide there little Avenger Initiative. "We are all either Kings or Pawns," he mumbled before taking a big scoop of Ice Cream and moving towards a table...

Clint continued on away from the assholes over to his dorm. He stopped when he heard the sound of a body being forced against the wall, his acute sense of hearing picking up on it. He thought they were trying to bully another student so he whirled around to go back to give them a piece of his mind. What he wasn't expecting was to see one of them running for the hills and another pressed against a wall by a girl- a girl for Christ sakes! He quickly moved over to help the guy out. "Hey!" he shouted as he moved to her. He yanked her hand, which was surprisingly heavy, and was shocked to see a shinning metal claw protruding from her knuckle. With the claw away from him the prep bolted crying wolf.

So now he was staring a girl with a claw from her knuckle and denied her from beating up a guy that deserved it. Was this another one of S.H.I.E.L.D.S recruits? Director Fury said there would be more like Clint but he was expecting not to meet them until their first little team meeting. "Let me guess, Fury got you to come here to didn't he?"....

Peter weaved his way through the crowd. He had already pulled a friendly stranger over and got the rundown of the assembly, apparently Stark had pulled out all the stops. Right now the students were given free range until dinner so mos were heading back to the dorms while others were going to the ice cream shop across the street. He decided he could go for some ice cream and followed the large groups across the street. As he did he felt a little tingling in the back of his brain, a little sixth sense he liked to call his "Spider Sense" it alerted him of things that were of note whether or not he saw them or not. For instance the one now was alerting him of a tail he had picked up. He walked straight for awhile and slowed down until he felt she was close enough behind him to turn around with a smile and a, "Can I help you?"

Storm sat alone, watching the students, listening to the professor as he rattled on about the rules and regulations of the school. Despite the fact that she knew this was all a farce to cover her, and people like her, she couldn't help but pay attention. It was all so well done, and convincing. She took a few notes, the things she figured were worth remembering. Quiet hours, locations, the usual. She had been to school before so she understood the drill. By the sound of the noisy kids, they did as well. She watched Tony Stark, the richest man around flaunt and show off his ability. She rolled her eyes in a subtle fashion,. He was special, or at least he was smart. She admitted to herself, but he wasn't like her or other like her. He was made special by his father and his money. She, she had been born special. How well would his Iron Man suit work in a lightning storm? He wasn't the most special thing here, although neither was she.
Finally, the lecture hall let out and she stretched, wandering out of the room with the rest of the students, milling about in the main court yard for a moment. She watched as student went this way and that, and she couldn't help but wonder if any of them were the other SHIELD recruits. She was curious to get to know the other people who they had managed to gather. What other unique abilities were hidden here, waiting for their use. It was the only reason this was all happening, this school business. She felt a bit suspicious about the whole affair, but figured who would be able to stop her if she wanted to leave, the thing was, they wound't be able to. With a last glance around, she ajusted the satched on her back and set out into the streets, wandering aimlessly and just taking in her surroundings. She tossed the hood of her sweatshirt over her silvery hair, not wanting any of the usual side ways glances. She felt that when people did that, they just knew what she was. She felt out of place as it was already, surrounded by the carefree students and innocent kids.
Without paying much attention, she entered an ice cream shop, her mind still buzzing with unanswerable questions about SHIELD and her kind. She ordered a small cone as an excuse to sit in the corner and there she sat, feeling as if the entirity of the school was entering, or in the shop. She felt almost jealous of their minor cares. They didn't have to worry about the judgement that came with being a mutant. She saw Tony Stark enter the little shop as well, peering at him from behind the cone. Him, he had everything. Money, power, status. Plenty of people loved the Starks and the Iron Man suit, and she couldn't help but feel a bitterness rise in her throat. Still, she knew it wasn't him personally who had wronged her, yet it still seemed so unfair...

Wolverine grinned sarcastically as Clint asked about Fury. She held up her middle claw, before letting it slide back into her hand, grimacing ever so slightly. "What gave me away?" She asked, glancing back as the preppy boy fled, a satisfied feeling rising as she saw the wet travel down his pants, his whimpering suddenly not so tough now.
She finally turned to really look at Clint, peering at him with an eyebrow raised.
"I'm going to assume you're one of Fury's pets as well." She mused, pulling a thin cigar from behind her ear, igniting the brown stick with a black lighter. "As for if he got me to come here, more like made me." She growled, eyes narrowed.
"I have no desire to play his little games, like a good lab rat." She leaned against the wall, still peering at him with her sharp gaze.
"Let me guess though, you're the quiet deadly kind? Let them think you're a weakling then take em down when they arn't looking?" She figured if he was with fury, he had to be more special than he looked.

Felicia jumped slightly as the boy addressed her. Usually no one ever hear her when she was following them. She wasn't called a cat burgalar for nothing. She narrowed her eyes to try and size the boy up for a moment, then grinned plesantly, walking forward quickly to get even with him.
"Oh! Sorry for following you! I'm prone to getting lost, and you seemed like you know where you were going!" She held out a hand, her eyes flashing plesantly, or if you looked closely, dangerously.
"My names Felicia, what's yours?" She figured getting to know some people wouldn't hurt. Farce or not, some friends would come in handy. Especially seeing as plenty of these people seemed like the rich family type. This particular one however seemed like one of the smart kind, and she felt a bit nervous talking to him.
"So, what are you doing at Stormvalley?" She continued asking, making sure to keep her eyes on all the others milling around. It was always a good idea to know who would be around...

Clint tried to remain unphased at the sight of the claws that were protruding from her knuckles. He winced a little as he watched her draw them back into her hand, he thought it must have hurt greatly. He gave her a small smile at her humor. When she asked about being a pet he rolled his eyes. "I'm not some pet, Fury gave me a better offer than being a part of a circus. So I took it." That was somewhat of a rehearsed answer, Clit would have very much rather be at the circus with Trickshot and helping with the act. When she asked about his skill set he smiled a bit and shook his head, "Well your just going to have to wait and see about that." He waved his bow case at her just to taunt her a little. He turned to leave to his room but before he was out of earshot he turned his head. "The names Clint Barton by the way. I'll be looking forward to working with you." With that he took his leave to the room they assigned him.

It was a single room, big enough for him and some company if that ever does happen. He set his case down and popped it open to check that everything was in order. No stray arrows, nothing cracked or bent, all in all it was in perfect order. Seeing that everything was alright he set his stuff down and wondered what to do next. He looked out to see still masses of people moving around. He saw that a majority of them were heading to a shop across the street. He saw that it was an Ice Cream shop and he figured he could go for a scoop or two.

He jogged across the street and walked in. He waited in line for a few minutes before getting to the counter he bought a scoop of cookies and cream on a waffle cone. He turned from the counter after paying and saw that all the single seats had been taken, a large mass of girls surrounded a guy and from the glances he could get it was none other than Tony Stark. He kept looking and saw a girl in the corner sitting at a table with an open seat. He walked across the room and stood behind the chair. He looked at the girl and he grew a little flustered. The girl sitting there was... beautiful to say the least. She had chocolate skin and snow white hair, his heart skipped a beat and his mouth grew a little dry. "H-hi, uhhh would you mind if I grabbed this seat?" he said, he was shaking a little from his nerves. He quickly forgot his manners, "Oh man where are my manners, I-I'm Clint Barton by the way, nice to meet you."...

Peter wasn't surprised at her reaction to his quick turn, it was something that happened to everyone. "Don't worry about it. It happens to everyone who knows me at least once." He turned to walk towards the Ice Cream shop and nodded for her to follow him. "I'm Peter Parker, it's nice to meet you Felicia." He walked and listened as she asked about his purpose here at the school. He couldn't tell her the truth... Well not the whole truth at least. "I'm here for the honors program. Apparently I have the special skill set that they're looking for. What about you? Education, class, people?"

The girl sniffed as he hid his answers, being as vague as possible. Her eyes did n arrow in curiosity however,as he wiggled the bow case. Some sort of weapons expect, maybe. "Regardless of the offer, you're still just a pet. Clint." Her gaze never left him as he walked away, their fierce glare analyzing his every move. She wasn't intentionally being rough, but she new better. She had been around to long, and seen to much to think that Fury was giving them the offer of a lifetime. It all seemed to perfect, to easy.
She gave a slight grunt of disinterest, and sat on a bench, watching people walk past, her finger tapping steadily on the wood. Finally, she couldn't take it anymore and sprung to her feet, walking briskly towards the little shop where everyone was going. "Ice Cream.." she glared at the sign, and entered groaning internally at the mass of girls surrounding Tony Stark. She had wanted to talk to him about Fury, about SHIELD. She ordered a bowl of ice cream, chocolate, and a bit roughly shoved her way through the mass of fawning girls, and plopped herself right at his table, glaring at the indignant girls around her. Her tags fell forward, exposing the word 'Wolverine.'
"So Tony Stark, nice to finally meet the man in the suit." Her words were dangerously sugar coated. "I was just curious, you know about everythig that goes on around here. When are things going to really, get exciting?" She asked, smiling coyly. She wanted to know when Fury was going to really start needing their skills, and this was the only way she could get the information, or get him away from the herd...

Storm jumped out of her trance watching Tony and her gaze flickered to Clint. "Oh by all means." She scooted her own chair over a bit, to give him more space. It seemed like the entire school body was in the small shot. Although, with Tony being their that might have had something to do with it. Her gaze scanned over Clint swiftly as he introduced himself. He looked like you're average guy to her. Probably not a mutant, just someone who was blissfully unaware of the scheme occurring right under all their noses. However, he was plenty good looking, and she couldn't help but notice he had sharp eyes. "My names, well people call me Storm." She gave a slightly sheepish grin, shrugging her shoulders. It had been a while since she had been around people who didn't know about her "problem". "What are you here for? " She asked, placing her elbow on the table and placing her chin in her palm, fixing him with an interested gaze. "I know it's just school and classes, but they picked everyone a bit special, so you must be very smart, or rich, or both!" She chuckled. She knew she had to keep up the facade of an average school kid for Fury, and hiding secrets was a specialty of hers. After all, when you could change the weather and call down lightning or tornadoes, one learned to be an expert of acting normal.
"You seem like the smart kind." She continued, then paused, giving him a chance to respond before she talked him to death...

Felilcia felt her face flush a bit at his comment. "Oh, well I guess I won't let it happen again." Her sudden frown turned into a smile again as she put her hands behind her back, lacing her fingers together. "Peter Parker...That's a nice name." She felt like she had heard it before, but pushed the notion from her mind. The chances of that were slim, since there were kids from all over the country here.
