It was a beautiful Monday morning in the city, the sky was a gorgeous blue with bright fluffy clouds scattered here and there, not that they hid the sun which shone down perfectly onto city streets. For Dante Thames it was a horrible day, the sun made his skin sting, and his eyes ache. A few hundred years younger and he wouldn't have been able to manage it. But the Pet stores where not open in the night, and he was tired of spending his days alone. He wanted to go and get something to entertain him during the times where he wasn't working. He didn't sleep, so his days dragged on with nothing to do but work, or watch silly human television. So there he was, wrapped up in his heavy cloak, ignoring the hundred plus degrees that it was outside, and kept his hood up to protect his face, and flesh from the sun. a pair of sunglasses over his eyes protected his sensitive red eyes.
He swept into the Pet store, sighing in relief at the lack of bright sunshine hitting his eyes and stinging his skin. He unbuttoned his cloak and swept back his hood and removed his sunglasses, letting anyone watching know that he was a Vampire. He moved deeper into the darker area's of the pet store, well lit by lights but much darker compared to the outside, a relief to Dante really. He greeted the pet store owner in his usual frosty tone and moved from 'kennel' to 'kennel'. Basically a cage where the pets where kept. He paused in front of several pets, watching them through cold, red eyes as he watched them. He had a red tattoo on his forehead, marking him as someone important to the Vampire community, his long ink black hair swaying in the air conditioned building.
He stopped in front of a cute, pink colored Neko girl, she was small, her body didn't seam to be fully formed in the chest Area, but he could easily fix that problem. He studied her intently and then motioned for her to come closer. “your name, child. And your age if you please.” he ordered, studying her intently as he motioned to the Shopkeeper. “i want this one.” he ordered, the pet store owner beaming as he nodded, telling Dante the price, the Vampire writing out a check and giving it to the owner. He had everything the cute little thing would need, clothing included. He took the girls leash, examining the collar around her neck with distaste, he would have to have it replaced with one more suited to her coloring. He pulled his cloak shut again, pulled his hood up, and replaced his sunglasses and glanced at her again. “stay close.” he ordered simply. “we will be Shadow Walking as soon as I can find a dark area.” not that he expected her to know what that meant.
