Here, all active characters will be posted for Simtech Wargames.
Please PM me your profile in the format provided before you post it here, that way it keeps things all nice and neat and I can approve safely and help out if you're a little confused. My format is simple, but it also includes some statistics that are meant to more be guidelines for yourself and others to know how well a character performs in what area.
The character statistics are again, meant as a GUIDELINE. It shows competence and not a sense of superiority, while I am not against people using their strengths to their advantage, I am against people assuming that their advantages will not have any exploitable flaws. This statistics will be applied in situations that can be very close and tense, or things where it naturally requires a competent skillset. A sniper trying to hit a running target better have some damn great or superb aim depending on the range, for example.
The statistic levels are, Superb, Great, Good, Fair, Mediocre, Poor, Terrible. You can consider each one on a scale of positive and negative. With Fair being 0 and Superb being +3, while Terrible is -3.
Now, you can have ONE statistic at superb, and ONE statistic at great. You can keep the rest at fair, if you so choose. BUT, if you want to tweak your character a little more? You can reduce the statistic of something by two to give you another another great. You can give yourself a terrible score, but you cannot raise ANY one stat to superb if you're seeking for a very specialized set of statistics. You can raise and lower by 1, naturally..it's whatever you'd like to do.
The character statistics are:
Muscle - Your actual physical capability, strength, oomph, etc.
Aim - How accurate of a shot you can be, Aim is not the end all, be all statistic here even if the combat is mainly firearm oriented. Aim measures your finer sense of it, not your complete capability, as the example above mentioned, a really good aim would be needed for situations above. But in the lower ranges, most people can be more than competent with a fair or even a mediocre. Not every arena is going to be a long range paradise after all, a character who uses a shotgun or an SMG does require aim like any firearm (as no matter what people think, you need to AIM shotguns because the spread isn't that crazy wide),. You wouldn't need an expert sense of it due to the ranges that those weapons are commonly used. Just sort of an example as to where a high Aim can and would be used more effectively and a low Aim won't hinder a character. The short version, if you want your character to be very good at long range plinking, have high aim. If you're going to be a run of the mill shooter, fair or even mediocre can be good depending on your set up.
Fitness- Physical stamina, how long you can run, how much endurance you have, etc
Intellect- An understanding of tactics, a finer sense of combat knowledge. Also could refer to basic IQ, academical knowledge and so on.
Common Sense- The 'gut' feeling, in the middle of a gunfight. Like keeping your head down when bullets are whistling by. Or dealing with situations and people that require a better sense of empathy.
Charm- The 'face' of your player, is he a crowd ham? Does he have a lot of fans? Or is he about as interesting as a turnip rotting in the sun? Even this can impact things like sponsorships and so on.
..and yes, I am yoinking the basic sheet from DA with permission, it's damn nice. Just to note, you don't really need to use a picture, and it doesn't need to be an IRL picture, given the atmosphere, no doubt a drawn one would suit better..but it's all completely up to you, I don't care and I doubt anyone else will.

Background ~
Personality: Acerbic, but not overly so. She's generally friendly, but she has some minor issues in socializing. Otherwise, she's a perfectly fine woman to speak with. She just has some problems with where she is in life.
History: Vanessa grew up in Chicago, Illinois. She spent a majority of her time being a normal girl in her teens before she applied to the police force in her early twenties. Finding the work satisfying, but all-together unrewarding. She went to private security until her company went under, leaving her with no job. Without much choice, she took to the Wargames to make a living as a last resort.
Family: Her mother and father have passed on, but she has four sisters.
Likes: Bacon, Reading, Exercise to keep herself occupied.
Dislikes: Spiders, soy, and loud music.
Fears: The impending sense that she has hit rock bottom in her life, and all her wanting to be a benevolent lawkeeper has put her at the spotlight of being a hopped up gun jockey at the expense of her dignity. The eventual realization that she may be on a team that would gain national awareness, and thus realizing she is better as a Warfighter than a police officer or doing private security.
Best Memory(ies): Her time as private security really settles well with her, she was generally sent everywhere to 'do the right thing'.
Worst Memory(ies): When her parents died, which left the relationship between her sisters fragmented.
Favorite Color(s): Blue, Black and Brown
Sexual Orientation/Role/Experience: Straight, has had her share of a bed or two in her days in private security.
