It was only eleven in the morning, and already, the couple was in the middle of a heated argument. They were never over anything important, just little things such as who's turn it was to empty the dishwasher, or who's fault it was that they didn't have milk. He had only lived with her for a little over a month, and already, Jayde was starting to wonder if letting her boyfriend move in with her had been a bad idea. Not only did they argue, but he was controlling. Strangely, that didn't bother her. In a way, she almost liked giving into his commands, though she never admitted it. Ashamed of her willingness to give in to him, she told herself she was just scared of what he would do if she didn't listen, though deep inside she knew that wasn't the case.
Though his dominant attitude never really bothered her, other people had noticed. Her friends, and even her family. Everyone she was close to was convinced that the relationship was unhealthy, and after three days in a row of petty fights and arguments, Jayde had a feeling that they were right. As time went on, things just got worse, and she knew that she couldn't stick around and wait for that to happen. He had to leave.
She stood silently, keeping her eyes cast downward as he stood over her, going about something she had forgotten to do yesterday afternoon. The night before, she had made her decision, that today she would end it. Not even paying attention to what he was saying, she waited for him to finish. Finally, he stopped, and she turned slightly to look up at him. His eyes were digging into her skin, his face red with frustration.
"Get out." she said quietly, seeing the disbelief in his eyes as he asked her what the hell she meant. "I mean get out." she told him, her voice louder than before. "I can't deal with this. I can't deal with you." She paused for a moment, looking away as she felt the tears starting to form in her eyes. "Just get your things and leave."
