Cole Harris dominated the room.
He sat behind his desk with the wall of solid glass behind him, dominating the room. He was tall and broad shouldered, with black hair just starting to gray at the temples, wearing a blue suit and tie and a black shirt. He had a light day; the truth was, he only did the work he thought he really had to anymore. He'd climbed high enough that whatever needed doing, he had people to do it for him. And he liked that; liked ordering people around, liked watching people obey him.
And he liked being tall and strong, towering over people. Seeing the tiny look of fear in their eyes as they instinctively realized how badly he could hurt them if he wanted to.
"Mr. Harris?" his secretary said. "Ms. Cooper is here to talk to you? I, ah, think it's John Cooper's wife. She has an appointment."
"Well send her in," he said. Privately, he wondered what kind of fish faced golem that idiot had managed to talk into marrying him.
