Elaina let out a long slow breath and closed her eyes against the bright lights and loud noises coming from the halls and rooms of the family estate. Elaina sat in a window seat over looking the city below her, the view was one of the best in the city but, she had sat in this very spot for so long looking at the same views for so long all of the beauty that used to inspire her and take her away on adventures now lay silent and dormant....her immortal life seemed to be more of an imprisonment everyday. Nothing held any cheer or joy for her...nothing was new anymore.
Opening her eyes slowly she gazed down on the city, a scene she knew so well she'd gazed at it for centuries ignoring the droning voices of her family giving orders. Her mother loudest of all, her mothers screeching voice could cut through everyone's and the walls like a blade. It irritated her, her mothers voice more than once she'd thought of choking her mother just to shut her up. Closing her eyes she felt her eyebrow twitch in irritation, so much un-needed noise. Turning her head she glanced down the hallway and stared at the bustling servants her mother on all their heels clapping her hands like they were dogs. She supposed in her mothers view they were dogs.
Her mother was throwing yet another party. The Tsukaveich's clan was renowned for their parties they threw one every few weeks, the poor servants never got a break. Elaina herself detested all the parties, far too many obnoxious haughty and so uptight blue bloods. The only reason they would show was to show off their newest item or look or plaything it was the most tedious thing in the world to sit there with a tight little line plastered to her face while she practically choked on what she wanted to say.
shuddering at the thought she scooted off the window seat and brushed strands of hair from her face. She knew she's have to get out before her mother had servants haul her to her room and get on a ridiculously extravagant dress that she'd have bought just to show of her own wealth. Wincing she scooted along the corridor and made for the door as quickly as possible.
A few moments later she was breathing fresh clean night air and more importantly? It was dead quiet! Sighing contentedly she walked to her favorite spot near the edge of a cemetery.
