Another car had pass her by on the sunny road without even slowing down, and act which made Amanda let out a small sigh of frustration. She had been walking for some time now, well before it was dark, and had only had minimal success in hitch hiking as the only car to pick her up so far had to drop her off on the following exit off of the back road because it would take her too far off her course to the neighboring city. It seemed so easy in the movies to get a ride from a stranger to exactly where you needed to go and at the age of sixteen she was too naive to consider that not everyone was going where she was, or if they were, they weren't willing to pick up a stranger.

This was by far the most frustrating she had experienced in life, being as young as she was and an only child in a rural household that wasn't abusive by any means she rarely had to struggle to achieve anything. Her looks were no impediment to her either, as she was thin and had milky white skin, long flowing hair, and was rather well adorned in her chest, a fact that often made her blush from shyness. She had hoped that this would be to her benefit, even though she never planned to actually allow anyone to touch her she knew of her seductive abilities and as such dressed for the trip in a short and strapless sundress that stopped well before her knees and had a flower pattern on it. The attire left her a little uncomfortable, as she hated being subjected for her looks but she would bear the discomfort as she knew it would help advance her goals.

As Amanda walked and saw another car approaching she made the common gesture of a hitchhiker, hoping that this would be the car that finally brought her to the big city where she'd make something of herself and would no longer have to put up with that small nobody town.
