A breaking silence roamed about the restless night sky in an ordinary day of a not so ordinary teen. Axel peered out of his roomâs window for long, silent moments. He only watched the trees, the win blowing through the leaves, rusted cars slowly driving across the roadâ¦just waiting for the right moment. Axelâs father had divorced his real mother when he was seven, and court decided to have him take custody of Axel. They spend the next ten years together, father and son, the best of friends as far as strangerâs eyes saw, but everything changed when his father decided to re-marry ten years later.
Not only did he receive a new mother, but a new daughter as well just his age. His new wife had a daughterâ¦a really attractive daughter, much to Axelâs liking. For the past weeksâ¦things have been different around the house. Axel and his step sister spent a lot of time together in their roomsâ¦away from their parentâs eyes, slowly growing attached to one another, to their parentâs relief. But the attachment was abit more than what they had expected, Axel had finally realized, after starting through his window all this time, that he had fallen in love with his own step sister, and he could nothing to change the facts.
It was odd for himâ¦so many things were wrong, so much of his feelings were flawedâ¦this wasnât supposed to happen, more so it could ruin their new family all togetherâ¦but he had to say something, he had to say something to her. He finally brushed his long, side swept hair from his face and opened the roomâs door, stepping outside just as the clock struck midnight. He tiptoed across the wooden floor, slowly making his way through the house till he reached the room at the very end of the hallway, her room. He stood frozen solid for a few moment, hesitating his actions. should he really do it? It was late after allâ¦but it was unbearable, he either told her the truth or he screamed it for the world to hear from his room, such feelings couldnât be held in anymore, it pained him too much.
Axel took in a long breath, before building up some courage and letting his hand slip on the doorâs knob to push it open slowly. He took his steps into the dark room, one after another until he reached the very edge of her bed, and slowly he leaned over, peeking at her. For just a little bit, he watched her, how beautiful she looked when she slept, how calm and plain attractive she wasâ¦no wonder he was in such a dilemma. He let his hand leave his side, and brush a stray hair from her face, leaning down a little to whisper his words to her.
âSisterâ¦are you awake?...do you have a moment?...â His face was already slightly red, in his mind thankful that the room was dark and hiding the reddened face.
