At least you could say one thing for Alex. His inflated ego wasn't as misplaced as some guys with cash. He was something of a financial genius, but that was probably just what happens when you got economics lessons added to your school work since the first grade. Either way, he was clearly being groomed to run the family businesses and his father made a very large effort to keep him happy. Part of it was the fact that if he didn't Alex would simply shift some of his money into the stock market to make the cash anyway, which tended to put them into a higher income bracket. The most recent gift intended to keep his son from exercising the keys to the financial kingdom in detrimental ways was a classic Jaguar type-E, purchased from an apparent friend of the family.
Alex had, naturally, been going on about this all day. Their parents were leaving for a week and expected this to keep him from getting up to any sort of trouble, apart from the odd speeding ticket, which would never see the light of day. He was, of course, making himself insufferable up until then. Not that he wasn't good at that all the time. It was hard to imagine that he could be any more full of himself.
Surprisingly enough, Alex didn't actually have much in common with his father physically. The boy was slender and a bit on the short side, honestly looking a bit more like his mother than anyone else. Despite his girlish looks it was hard to say he didn't look good. His blond hair went nicely with his emerald green eyes and he had a great smile, even if he was generally smiling for one insufferable reason or another. He dressed fairly simply when he didn't have anyone to impress, just wearing jeans and a simple shirt at the moment.
