Regina lived alone. That was the way she liked it. While it could get lonely at times (especially on cold winter nights), it was certainly better than having hordes of disciples hanging on her doorstep. A powerful sorceress like herself needed privacy to study and perfect her magic. That way, when she did venture out to join a quest or such, she'd be all the more valuable to her party.

Regina* was a beautiful woman. She had the body and spirit of a woman of 26. She was tall, strong, sleek, and had a flat, firm stomach. Her breasts, however, were a different story - they bulged out prominantly in perfect spheres that seemed to defy gravity with thier perkiness. They were very large and full. She had raven black hair piercing eyes. Whenever she went abroad, she had no shortage of admirers. Though while she liked the attention, she still valued her solitude.

Regina lived in a small castle, nestled high in the Great Stony Mountains, perched on a hillside overlooking a glacial lake. It had been in her family for generations. It was her own private retreat, when she wasn't on the move. Here, she could study in peace. As she'd been doing for the past several weeks, she was sorting a cache of crystals she'd gathered from the moraine of a retreating glacier. Gems of lesser quality, she could sell in the market as either charms for non-magical people, or for use in magic to other, lesser magicians. The best, she kept for herself. Crystals were invaluable to magicians, and the better they were, the more power they could channel. And Regina had so much power, she needed the best of the best. She was so absorbed in her work, she scarcely noticed when the bell hung in the outer gatehouse beginning to chime, notifying her she had a visitor.

It was no secret that some of the smaller countries nearby took a less than friendly attitude towards magic users. A forbidden art at best, and a crime punishable by death in others. It was troubling for many. While some merely accepted this fate, wiping any all all ties to any spell casting, it wasn't as easy for others.

Lilleah was one such case. Once she had learned she possessed the ability to wield even the weakest bits of magic, she had only ever craved more. However, there was no one to instruct her, and if she had been caught, she'd be looking at the next twenty years behind bars.

The journey had been hard. The young sorceress was hungry, exhausted, and had been broke for days. Dirty and dusty with the filth of the road, normally bright colored clothing common to the more western countries sat in slightly duller hues. She had spent her last bit of coin on this lead; it had better be good.

She dared not venture past the gatehouse, afraid of trespassing on a powerful witch's land. She wasn't even sure she'd be welcome here, let alone allowed inside the property at all. To anyone less aware of such things, the girl looked like a lonely traveler, but one trained to be sensitive to such things would undoubtedly feel the slight hum of energy she seemed to emanate, powerful but uncontrolled. Her staff was carved with simple runes, reminders of spells and incantations. Like many untrained sorceresses, her magic had potential to be powerful, if not wild.

When Regina finally heard the sound of the bell, it startled her, causing her to drop the crystal she was cleaning. It landed quite close to her foot, barely missing it. Who dares disturb me? she thought angrily. Then she calmed herself. It was probably a traveler, searching for lodging for the night. Although the sun was still high, the castle was a day's journey to the nearest town by cart, and there was only one nearest town. Beyond that, the ridges of the Great Stoney Mountains stretched on for miles. Regina liked travellers, as they gave her some companionship when she was lonely inbetween her wanderings. Besides, her bed was getting cold, as of late.

Without bothering to pick up the crystal, Regina headed down to greet her visitor. She paused to inspect herself in a mirror, making sure to suck in her stomach and puff out her breasts. She tied her hair back into a ponytail, then adjusted the neckline of her dress to display her maximum cleavage. As she walked, she made deft little motions with her hands. These were such minute manefestations of her power, she didn't need her big, clumsy crystal staff nor even a crystal at all to channel her power. With each motion, she lowered the drawbridge between the gatehouse and the front gate of the outer wall, raised the portculesises, and pulled open the gates. She exited her keep, and descended the steps to the courtyard to greet her guest. A serene, queen-like smile spread across her face; as though she were a noblewoman rather than a sorceress.
