I have sunk into the world of Steampunk. Some may see it as a bad thing but I see it as a beyond wonderful idea. After several years of wanting to get into it, nearly 7 now, I've finally dipped my feet into the water and bought my fabric. I'm borrowing a pattern from my friend and tomorrow, I begin cutting out this mess of fabric right here:
I pulled together some clock keys from my house, Victorian era glasses, a 'pill box hat' to turn into a small top hat, a few pocket watches and I'll be making a chain for my necklace (using a Norse wire weaving technique I recently learned). Should be fun, and I'll post some pictures of the end product (or some of the crazy pleating stuff I'll have to do) if people are interested in seeing my newest obsession/craft project.
After all, I have my fencing armour done now, so I might as well move onto something else. Ignore the pink bag, by the way. Zombie make up takes over my... entire house some times.
