Sorin walked threw the make shift infirmary helping bind what wounds he could and cleaning the scars of the battle that was all fresh in the minds of the fighters that danced around the outside. Tonight was one of victory as the house of Beleak celebrated there defeat over a small outpost of a rival family. They had lost almost no one and made sure to slay anyone who was in the rival houses armor. The few wounded they had were restricted to this tent while Sorin and the hand ful of other healers saw to their needs.

Sorin walked with grace as he came upon the body of an unconcious woman. his light green eyes examined her for a few moments diagnosing wounds, his long black hair was tied back and for the moment he worked silently on his examination which drew his hand a long her body checking for any blood.

"It seems this woman only received a light head wound, does she look familiar to you?" Sorin asked a near by healer who gave a shrug. She was most probably one of the new recruits, The battalion they had served with had joined another group only a day ago and Sorin had not learned everyone's name and face when the attack had come, so he simply marked her down as one of their own and continued to work on his examination.

Elle groaned softly as she tried to come to, her vision was hazy and wouldn't focus correctly... she tried to sit up, but quickly gave up; her red hair fanned out beneath her head like a halo and she closed her eyes as she tried to collect herself. What happened last was a bit of a haze, but based off the migraine she had... well, she had takrn a blow to the head. Her mouth felt as dry as cotton and she grit her teeth a little. Flashes of memory were trickling into her head, she'd been knocked aside... trampled underfoot, but she'd gotten lucky it wasn't worse. Despite her injuries, she was quite lovely to look at- slender, but taut with muscle- a curvy hourglass frame... and though her eyes were closed at the moment, she had strikingly blue eyes.

"Where ... where am I?" she managed, not yet realizing she had been picked up by the enemy. She could hear voices, each syllable spoken- be it to her or someone else... stabbed at her brain and made her throb with pain. It was hard to stay awake and she struggled with it, not really willing to relax until she knew what happened. Had they won, had they lost? But she was clearly in some kind of medical tent so they must have won, right? Or she wouldn't be alive... the enemy wouldn't have bothered to spare her, whether or not she was a woman. "Did... did we win?" she managed to sputter out, but kept her eyes closed since it was all-too punishing to keep them open.

Sorin smiled as the woman began to wake up, and was quick to put a hand on her shoulder to keep her down for the moment. he listened to her voice and found it a sweet melodic tone. her body was curvy and very attractive but for now he had to focus she was in pain, but it seemed to him that she had at the suffered only a minor concussion many more today had fared far far worse.

"You mustn't try to get up, you have suffered a heavy blow, but you are among friends, and lay in a tent of the house of Baleak. Today marked a great victory for the house of Baleak you should be proud of the work you have done, and rest now." Sorin spoke kindly and gently knowing how bad her headache must be he kept his voice low, but as with many he felt the high of victory and was all to excited to explain the situation. "Do you have a name? we are having a small problem placing you there are too many battalions in this group to keep our records strait for the moment."

She was in so much pain, that the look on her face was the perfect cover up.... she was being cared for by the wrong side. They obviously hadn't realized it or she would be dead, and she wasn't exactly about to explain it to them... she'd be tortured and interrogated- then killed. She wasn't going to correct them... she couldn't think straight at the moment, but she knew enough to keep her mouth shut at least. "Ah.." she paused a moment, rubbing her forehead with her eyes still closed.

"I'm Elle." she told him, if their records were in disarray, it'd probably be easy for her to keep pretending she was part of their army. At some point she'd need to slip away, but for now she was in no condition for that. "I'm glad," she just managed. "That we won, I mean." she managed a weak smile, in her condition she didn't really need to try so hard to act.

But inside, she was devastated and worried- it was quite likely that a good many of her friends were dead and yet here she was, unable to mourn them. "I think I'm fine, right?" she asked. "Just my head..." but she could feel all of her arms and legs, so she knew she was blessed... she didn't have anything she wouldn't recover from. She'd be fine if she didn't blow her cover... maybe she'd even be able to get some intell for the other side if she could get away quick enough... or they'd mistake her for the enemy too and kill her. War was truly messy.

Sorin dabbed a warm cloth across her head lightly trying to not upset her head more as he cleaned her head wound. He smiled lightly as he heard her name. She would make a quick recovery that was for certain. "You will be fine once your head clears. Are you thirsty?" Sorin held a small flask of clean water and offered her only a tiny drink head wounds difficult and he didn't want her drowning in a drink.

Sorin recorded her name in the infirmary records and sighed it was a mess for the scribes to figure out, for now it was his job to tend to the wounded. "For now you should rest. When the wounded have all been treated we will be returning to the capital for a tour as the castle guard. apparently the leaders of the house think that we have fought enough battles for one year."

Sorin spoke bitterly of the ruling noble class if only because he was actually on the line of succession, the fifth brother of the house 'blessed' with enough time and power to make it as a healer and scholar, but not high enough to have anything more then an education. He shook his head and attended to his duties. "If you need anything my Name is Sorin I am the head healer here."

"Nice to meet you, Sorin..." Elle responded softly, keeping her voice low- but it was still an effort to speak at the moment and every noise still seemed impossibly loud. Even with her eyes closed, she could see the light of the room and it stabbed at her, too... she shifted and put her hands over her eyes. Partially to shield herself from the brightness, but also so she could hide any tears that were forming... there were a few- she was upset, naturally. The pain was a good excuse, too, but she still didn't need the enemy beholding her tears in this moment of weakness.

"Thank you for tending to me." she felt a little helpless at the moment, frightened too... this was not where she wanted to be, and it was a horrible feeling to know that you were around people who would kill her without blinking if they knew which side she was actually on. She wondered what about her made them mistake her in the first place. Wondered if anyone in her own battallion noticed she was gone and assumed she was dead... probably. No one was going to be looking, and they especially weren't going to be looking here!

Sorin smiled and let Elle rest leaving the tent to get more water and something to drink for himself. For the warriors the day was over, but for Sorin it was going to be a long night he could get that feeling. By the time he was allowed to sleep he took an unoccupied cot in the medical tent, oddly enough it was the one next to Elle, and allowed his eyes to rest for as long as he could.

Waking up the next morning he sighed it was now dawn. A slow morning for camp as food began distributing Sorin was allowed some breakfast, and then he along with the other healers began to distribute it to the rest of the injured then the healthy would be allowed to eat. This was to assure that strength was always kept up where it was needed. Sorin brought some oatmeal to Elle, and smiled. "Are you feeling well enough to eat?"

"Good morning..." she yawned a little, this time able to sit upright, she felt much better and assured him of this fact as she accepted the oatmeal and started to eat it. It was something that was easy to keep down since it wasn't a solid meal and she ate it slowly, savoring every bite of the meal- she hadn't realized how hungry she was until she had the bowl and had to fight to keep herself from eating it way too fast, or she'd probably feel even worse.

"I think I should be good to go, it was a minor injury. So I can probably leave soon and give up this cot to someone who needs it." she rubbed her forehead as she thought to herself- it was easier to think, but she still had a bit of a headache. She wasn't sure if that was because of the head injury, or because of her vigorous thinking as she tried to think of how she was supposed to get home, before she ended up being branded a traitor.

"That is good to hear." Sorin said as he looked her over. she was right that she was capable and feeling better, but he felt like he should keep her close head wounds were always so tricky to deal with and heal. "Oh you should probably go report to the superiors. Markus is meeting with a few others in the war tent. Will you need help standing up?"

Markus was a very high ranking man, among the enemy he was a known and feared name as he was often responsible for rooting out spy's. More then that he was a top strategist, and a talented fighter, who had earned his reputation as a battalion leader. Sorin was a close friend of the man, but even they never saw directly eye to eye.
