The party hadn’t started yet, though Amy knew the ones that were going to have it, and she knew their parents very well. She actually liked the twins’ parents, they were much better than her own parents, who weren’t even her real ones. She knew that because she had caught them talking about when they should break it to her that she was an adopted child and had confronted them with the truth. Of course that hadn’t turned out very well, especially since she had to find out about it on her own 18 year old birthday, and her little sister’s 5 year old birthday, or well, she wasn’t really her little sister in blood anymore, but she couldn’t be mad at her, she hadn’t done anything wrong, and she loved her little sister more than anything on the planet. However, Amy had always been a girl of, spontaneous ideas, very outgoing, and hanging with the wrong groups of people. Her foster parents knew that, and had tried to do everything to stop that behavior, but she had just begun sneaking out of her room instead and out of the house at night. This behavior started around the age of 15, and had only become worse and worse. She liked partying, she liked drinking, she liked to smoke both cigarettes and weed to get high, and she liked the sex. However, she was a pure lesbian, though she did like to be with a man once in a while, just to have that option too. Amy’s dressing style was also different than what her foster parents wanted her to wear. It was more gothic like, and she loved the style herself, even though she had got her clothes thrown out by her foster parents many times, she just always bought something new then because if there was one thing Amy knew how to make, it was money. The days she was supposed to be in the school her foster parents paid for, were the days she was actually at the job she had in a gothic clothing store, and she was good at making expensive sales and get people to buy more than they actually came into the store to buy, so she had no problems with making money for new things.

But even though Amy was that kind of wild girl, she knew how to take responsibility for her little sister too. If anything or anyone was a threat to her, she would deal with them to make sure they would leave her little sister alone, permanently. She wouldn’t kill them of course, she wasn’t that crazy either, but she would make sure that they would never be able to get close to her little sister again, no matter what it took. She was the overprotective big sister, which also meant that whenever she had a, hot night, with someone, she never took them home to her foster parents house to do it, she always made sure to go to that person’s living place, or somewhere outside where no one would see them, not that she cared if they got caught, she didn’t really have anything against that per say, but of course she would prefer a bed instead of the cold hard ground. But now she was sitting in the basement of the twins’ house, their parents gone as said, and they had the house for themselves. Besides Amy and the twins, there were only a couple of other people there so far, waiting for the rest to come, so Amy just sat with a beer in her usual outfit (the picture) and talked with her friends, having a cigarette in her mouth. One of the twins, Tina, looked over at Amy with a smile and grabbed a cigarette from Amy’s pack that was on the table. Amy was sitting in a beanbag on the floor, Tina and her brother was in a couch and the other two were in normal chairs. Tina smiled at Amy “Heard some new people are coming over tonight, or well, maybe not new, but I don’t think they’ve been to a party like ours yet.” Amy looked at her “You took one of my cigs.” Tina laughed “Oh sorry sweets.” She stood up and leaned over the table, taking the cigarette from Amy’s mouth and gave her a deep kiss on her lips before she put the cigarette back into Amy’s mouth. Amy nodded “Apology accepted. Well, if they’re new, they’ll just have to learn to suck it up and do what we do, or get the hell out of here, I’m not going to play a babysitter.” That’s when Tina’s brother turned is head and looked at Amy “Funny, in my opinion, it’s always you who needs a babysitter; you’re the one who don’t know where you live after a party like ours. You smoke so god damn much that the rest of us just have to inhale from your mouth to get high!” he laughed. Amy rolled her eyes at him “That one will be remembered, count on that. I’ll get you back.” He laughed a little still “Sure Amy, you do that.”

Katie wasn't really sure what she was doing at this stupid party. She was friends with Nat, a girl who was friends with the twins. She barely went to parties where she knew at least half the people there, going where she only knew one person was completely and utterly outside her usual pattern of behavior. But, well, her companion was cute, and she hoped that if she went along with her to various events and things, people might start commenting on how good they looked together or something, and then just maybe that would lead to a relationship. Okay, okay, yes, she was missing a few steps in there. That was her major trouble. Whenever she became interested in someone, she did everything she could to stay close to them, but she never quite found the confidence to simply say straight-up how she felt. So she ended up going to ridiculous lengths to prove to someone that she was interested in them without ever once speaking the words in a plain manner. And this was not the first time she ended up somewhere outside her comfort zone. One time, she'd joined a dance studio just to impress a girl. She knew it was sad, but it was pretty much the only thing she knew.

So the two girls walked up to the front door, Katie's friend looking much more like a partier in an adorable strapless number while she was wearing a floral sundress, much more appropriate for some kind of middle of the day party that would likely involve wine and finger sandwiches, not weed and beer. Of course, part of the problem with playing the chameleon was that, when you were particularly out of your element, it was so very obvious. But it was too late to go back now, the door was opening and someone was letting them inside, leading them down to the basement. Katie looked around nervously, feeling more and more uncomfortable with each passing second. She walked over to the cooler, trying to stick as close to Nat as possible. She picked up a beer and cracked it open when the sound of a laugh caught her attention and she looked over, catching her first glance of Nat. All of a sudden, Nat seemed a whole lot less interesting...

The doorbell rang all of a sudden, and instead of getting up from the beanbag and opening the door, Amy had just let one of the others go up there to open the door, not one of the twins though. She didn’t want to lose her beanbag chair to some of the idiots in the room; she would fight before she would see the day that someone took something from her, without punishment. Tina looked at Amy after a moment and laughed a little “You’re not one to move for anything are you?” Amy took a drag of her cigarette and looked at Tina, taking a sip from her beer afterwards “Depends on what you’re offering.” Tina rolled her eyes “Not so greedy now, we have enough to keep us going for three weeks if we decided to have such a long party, and if we could have our parents away from the house for that long. Sadly, that isn’t possible. Probably a good thing or we would never get to school.” She laughed again, leaning back in the couch. Amy looked at her “School? That’s the first time I hear you say something like that about school. School is overrated, I got my job, I got my money, and I got all the friends that I need, I don’t see why I should spent my life sitting behind a desk and listening to some dumb-fuck that I’m smarter than to begin with.” Tina laughed again, and that’s when the two new girls came down into the basement. Amy looked over at them for a moment, studying their looks. It was clear that one of the girls was used to the party life and such, the other, was completely new in it, and apparently that girl’s friend seemed to be making fun of her. Amy looked to Kane, Tina’s brother “Hey, jackass, do something about the situation will you? I’m not gonna get my ass up from this beanbag, it’ll be a lot more fun when I’ve had more to drink and smoke, and I’m not gonna have that fun ruined already because some idiots had to play jerks.” Kane looked at her “What do I get?” Tine elbowed him in the side and he looked at her “What?” “Just do it Kane, I don’t want any problems either. Smooth talk her.” He sighed a little “Fine fine.” He got up from the couch and walked over towards the girl in the floral sundress.

Amy looked towards him “Who invited those anyway?” she asked, the question meant for Tina. Tina looked over at the two “Don’t know, never really talked with any of them. Then again, you know us; we always end up having a lot of people we haven’t really talked with before. But since neither of us knows them, they can’t be that much fun to be around. That said, they are still welcome to be here, maybe we’ll get pleasantly surprised.” “Yeah, if they don’t end up getting so drunk that they’ll fight each other instead.” Kane looked at the girl in the floral sundress and smiled a little at her “Hey there sweet stuff. Got yourself a beer I see.” A laugh could be heard from the couch and then Tina’s voice “Oh Jesus, Mary and The Holy Spirit were that the best you could do?” she laughed. Kane rolled his eyes “Don’t mind her, she haven’t got laid for a whole month, it’s starting to make her an annoyance.” He got an empty beer-can thrown into the back of his head with the following words “I heard that shithead!” he rubbed the back of his head as he looked back to Tina “Stop that, you know that you’ll just have to collect all the cans in the end of the evening if you keep doing that, and take them to the store.” Tina rolled her eyes “Yeah, because you’re the one keeping the nature clean for things.” She replied in a very sarcastic tone. He turned back to look at the girl “Anyway, I’m Kane, and that bitch over in the couch is my sister, we’re the ones having the party. The one in the beanbag is Amy, or AOP as we sometimes like to call her.” He grinned a little. Amy heard it clear as the sky “I think you should stay out of reach for the next couple of hours darling.” Kane looked over at her “What? Don’t like the nickname? Probably should have had your legs closed a little more then.” Amy shot him a glare but he just laughed and turned back to the girl. “AOP, An Open Pussy.” He winked at her “Anyway, why don’t you join us in our little group over there, tell us a little about yourself, stuff like that. We also have a few things to smoke if you’d like that kind of thing. You name it, we have it. Well, besides a goat and an elephant. We did try with the goat once actually, but the Zoo said we stole it and we couldn’t keep it, got banned from the Zoo for a couple of years.” He laughed again and took his arm around the girl’s shoulders now, leading her over to the group and sat down on the couch next to his sister again, having grabbed a chair with his other hand for the new girl “Have this chair, and tell us about yourself.”

Nat had already gone off to chat with some of the people she knew, and Katie was left alone by the cooler, looking around nervously. She still occasionally cast one or two glances over at the strange-looking girl, realizing internally that Nat was swiftly being replaced. She saw the guy approach and pull just about the lamest line she'd ever heard in her life. And Katie didn't hear many lines, so that was saying something. Still, while she was more than happy to inform the poor sod that she was only interested in the fairer sex, he soon made it apparent to her that she was actually invited to sit in the same circle as the curious blue-haired girl, and she found it hard to resist. And besides, she found herself giggling a little as she sipped idly at the beer listening to them berate one another. This was the kind of environment she found particularly entertaining, like watching a weird sitcom. How could she resist? "Alright..." She leaned over close to him as they headed back over for the circle of seats and keeping her voice low "but just so you know, I uh... play for the other team, as it were. But I'm honored, really" She laughed and flopped down onto the offered chair, wiggling her hips in it a little as she tried to adjust to the chair that had clearly been found at Goodwill... or a dumpster.

So... her name was Amy. She filed that one away for later use. "Um, okay, well... I'm Katie... I'm a student over at Lakewood High, but after graduation I'll be going to college in Boston. I have absolutely no idea how, but I actually managed to get into Berklee, so I'll hopefully be studying guitar and piano..." While she was speaking, the girl Tina seemed to be passing her a cigarette - well, not a cigarette, but the... other kind. Katie had never been one for openly indulging in drugs, but at a time like this, she had absolutely no desire to look like a narc or a loser. And from what she'd seen, the only real harm in trying it was that you kinda stopped caring about things for a few hours. She could deal with a little bit of not caring, so why not? She held it up to her lips and took one very small drag on it, holding it for barely a second before releasing and quickly passing it off to Kane.

Amy, Kane and Tina listened as the new girl explained some things about herself. Amy quickly lost interest though, she was too goody goody for Amy’s liking, so she was just drifting into her own thoughts for the moment. Kane looked at her, not really caring if she was a lesbian or if she was straight, he smiled at her a little. Tina smiled at her “So, in other words, you’re a book kid, you do your stuff, turn it in, get a job, and live like a working zombie for the rest of your life.” Kane smiled a little “You should relax more, take some days off school, enjoy yourself all that shit.” He took the joint from Katie as she passed it to him and took a drag from it. “Well, I’m Kane and this is my sister Tina, as I think I said, we live here and all that crap, so make yourself at home, drink as much as you like, smoke as much as you’d like, and have fun, that’s what we’re supposed to have here. “ Tina nodded and took a sip of her own newly opened beer now “He’s right, you’re not allowed to leave this building until you’re drunk and high. Or at least drunk.” She laughed and looked over at Amy who was still spacing out. “Hey, space girl, its Houston calling.” She laughed. Amy looked over at her “What?” she said and looked at Tina. Tina smiled at her “We’re going to play some dice games now, so we can get some drinking going.” Amy smiled for the first time since she had arrived “Just my kind of girl.” She grinned and leaned a little forward in the beanbag. Tina got up from the couch and walked over to a shelve, taking some dices down from it and came back to the table. Within five minutes, both Amy and Tina had taken seven shots each and was now having a break from their little one on one drinking game.

Kane looked at Katie again with a smile before the doorbell was heard again “Oh, seems like everyone are arriving now.” He said and looked over to one of their other friends in the basement “Mind opening the door?” the friends stood up and walked upstairs, opening it, and suddenly thirty more people came down into the basement. The loud music was turned on very fast, and within five minutes, everyone was drinking and it was rather crowded. Since Amy was in the beanbag closes to the wall at one end of the room where they all sat, Kane looked to Katie and smiled “You think you can take your chair over next to Amy and sit there? It would give us some more room if people would like to sit down here too.” He smiled at her and took a sip of his own beer now “And you should start drinking some more really, get the party going and such, you’ll enjoy it a lot more than you might be doing right now.” He laughed and looked over to Amy “And I’ll be over and deal with you in a couple of hours.” He grinned. Amy rolled her eyes and took a drag of a newly lit cigarette “Think whatever you want.” “Oh I do that too.” He laughed and stood up, starting to walk around to say hi to the different people, someone quickly taking over his spot in the couch and started chatting with Tina.

Well, at least Kane and Tina were interested in what she had to say, but of course Katie's usual instincts were kicking in and she began to wonder just what it was about herself that could possibly make the strange goth girl lose so much interest in her to the point she would rather space out than engage with someone new. As if reading her mind, the twins quickly pointed out that she was, unlike them, a "book kid" who was perhaps a little bit too academic for their tastes. She blushed softly and looked down at her lap, fiddling with her hands for a moment or two. She wasn't really sure she was capable of such a thing. Granted, she wasn't the hugest bookwork in the entire world or anything, she just really loved music! What was wrong with that? She wanted to be an entertainer, wasn't that an admirable aspiration?? Still, it seemed that any form of attempting to become better was more or less off the table, instead replaced with a kind of slacker-centric behavior. Just hearing these words bob around in her head made her realize that, even if she wasn't the nerdiest girl in the world, she was most definitely not within her comfortable environment. But she felt that same determined little knot in her stomach and heart acting up again. She wanted to impress them, and she wanted to impress Amy. So when the joint came around for another pass, she took a little longer with it this time, but that just caused her to break out in a soft coughing fit before passing it on. Luckily her tolerance was pretty damn low and it already seemed to be having an effect on her.

Things seemed to ease up off her a little bit after that, but just as she was thinking that maybe she would be alright in this place, having grabbed herself another beer and returned to the back corner, the place suddenly filled with people. She was starting to feel even more lonely and claustrophobic. Kane practically saved the day when he asked her to "make room" and sit over next to Amy. She was more than happy to, of course, and she moved herself over and plopped down next to the girl, sipping her beer, finding that the taste was actually kind of growing on her, which was surprising to say the least. She looked over at Amy with a warm smile, trying her best to at least try and engage her. "So, Amy, what do you do? I mean, aside from, y'know, stuff like this?"

When Katie came over to next to Amy, Amy didn’t react at first, she seemed to be having a busy time comprehending the rather high amount of alcohol she had taken with Tina in less than five minutes. The seven shots hitting slightly already, but she took a long drag of the joint when it was passed around again, and she closed her eyes, blowing out some smoke rings when she blew the smoke out of her mouth again. Then she heard the girl talk to her all of a sudden, not realizing that she had actually moved to sit next to her. Katie was a little higher up than Amy was, because Amy was in a beanbag and Katie was on a normal chair, so she had to look up to look at Katie a little. Amy scratched her neck a little and shrugged “What I do when I’m not here?” she asked as to confirm that was the question, even though she had heard it and went on to answering it. “Well, I work in a clothing store instead of going to the school that I should be going too. I just like the money more than I like the education, plus, this is way more fun than school, I don’t see why I should waste my time in the school, when I can be high and drunk a lot of the time during the week, with the most amazing people.” Tina laughed and raised her beer “Amen and sex to that!” she laughed out. Amy laughed too now and grabbed her own beer, tapping Tina’s beer with it “Amen and sex to that!” she repeated and took a sip after the tap, leaning back down in the beanbag with her beer now. “And I heard what you wanted to do, even though I spaced out. But still, you know a lot of musicians drink and take drugs don’t you? And you know why? They get more creative because of it.” Tina laughed and nodded “It’s true! You should hear Amy sing, she’s amazing! And her song lyrics are just, wow!” Amy glared over at her “I thought we agreed that you wouldn’t say stuff like that?” Tina smiled at her and grabbed her beer, walking over to Amy and sat down in her lap with her beer in her hand, sideways in Amy’s lap with an arm around her neck and took a sip of her beer “You know, you give yourself way too little credit darling.” “Not really, I just don’t want to hear about it every time you feel like showing me off because you know me.” Tina grinned and kissed Amy’s cheek before looking to Katie “She’s just shy really, she’s amazing.” She laughed again.

Amy looked up at Katie “Don’t listen to her, she’s just horny for attention, nothing you have to worry about. It’s only a matter of time before she finds a guy she wants to have open sex with on the couch.” Tina looked at Amy “That only happened once! And you know I was way too high for my own good!” Amy laughed “Riiiiiiiiight, I don’t quite believe that, but whatever floats your boat darling.” Kane looked over to them, having heard some of the conversation “Take it easy ladies! No need to fight, unless it’s in underwear!” he laughed and winked at them, grinning a little too. Amy looked over to him “Shut it dumb-fuck, we all know you’re gay anyway.” Kane shot her a glare now, before he turned around to continue talking with some of the other people. Amy grinned a little and turned her attention back to the Tina that was still in her lap and to Katie on the chair, taking a sip of her own beer again and lightening a new cigarette. She took a long drag of it and blew out the smoke again. “So goody kid, are you good all the way to the bone, or is there some corruption in you?” she asked and held the pack of her own cigarettes towards Katie now, waiting to see if she would take one, or if she was against that as well as not partying that much, or at least she seemed she wasn’t too much into partying a whole lot.

Katie found the whole situation much easier to take if she watched it as a kind of miniature play that she just happened to be the part of. If she weren't being pointed out as a bit of a cliche herself, she might have almost figured she was the straight-man in some kind of very bizarre comedy routine. She found herself getting more and more caught up in it as time went on. Everything was just so casual, and there was a rebellious side to her just like there would be any other teenager. Sure, she'd never really acted on it before, but in an environment like this, it was difficult to ignore!

While she wasn't sure how she felt about the knowledge that Amy chose to work in a clothing store in favor of shirking her schoolwork, she had to admit that if she'd been finding her calling in the working world - which was what school was ultimately for - then who was she to look down on that? Katie, on the other hand, was looking at another four years of school, minimum. Granted, she liked being in an academic environment, but still, the idea of getting out and doing something with her life right away had an appeal all its own. "That's actually really cool..."

Realizing that maybe the two had more in common than she first realized was kind of exciting too. She was suddenly very eager to hear her sing something. She wondered if she could get her hands on a guitar, though chances were anything she knew how to play and Amy knew how to sing would be completely different kinds of music. But there had to be a middle ground somewhere - who didn't know some of the classics, like the Beatles or something??

And the girls had a point. Most every entertainer had a life outside their craft, and generally speaking they did such things because it allowed them to just be themselves - a key factor in producing true art rather than just droll entertainments. The offer of a cigarette concerned her a little bit, but once again she feared she would end up the know-it-all of an after school special, and that idea was just dreadful. So, taking only the shortest of hesitant pauses, she reached out and grabbed up a cig, bringing it to her lips and allowing someone with a lighter to get it going. She dragged it slow and light at first, almost certain that there was no point in acting cool when anyone could see it was her first on anyways, and she wasn't looking forward to another coughing fit.

The freedom in the room around sexuality also made her feel a little more at-ease. She didn't even feel the need to suddenly announce that she too wasn't totally straight-edge, at least until Amy asked her if there were any dark sides to her otherwise innocent facade. "Well... I mean, anyone who says they're totally pure is lying anyways... I-I've never done anything crazy, just been to bed with a girl or two, skipped a class here or there... Sorry, my life's not terribly thrilling" She had always assumed that she would be a late-bloomer, waiting until she got to college to really let loose, once she was out from under her parents' thumbs, that kind of thing.

Amy smiled a little when Katie took her first cigarette and watched as she took a drag of it. Clearly the girl was new to these kinds of things, but at some point, she had to try it anyway, especially if this was the kind of people she was going to hang out with from now on. Amy nodded a little “It’s cool that I have a job yes, I get all the money I need since I’m good at making sales, and I don’t have to worry about a stupid teacher trying to tell me that I don’t know how to speak my own language.” She smiled a little and grinned at Tina “Besides, I need my girl here to have some fun at least once or twice during the week, and we need some money for that too, so my money is a little sharing with Tina here.” She laughed and Tina laughed with her. Then Tina looked to Katie “Ahh so you’re another lesbian, welcome to the lesbian group then!” she laughed and Amy joined in on that laugh too “Well, I do like a cock once in a while, but otherwise, I don’t want anything to do with guys, besides for Kane of course, he’s good enough.” Kane then appeared from behind them and leaned his head down over Amy from behind her “I heard my name, miss me already.” Amy rolled her eyes and grabbed the collar of his shirt, pulling him down into a kiss and held it for a moment, her tongue dancing over his lips before she pushed him away again “Satisfied now moron?” Kane laughed a little and nodded “At least for now I am, I might come back later to see if you’ve forgotten about me.” He laughed and walked away again. Amy shrugged and looked at Tina “So are you going to fuck Katie or what?” Tina looked at Amy for a moment, then back at Katie “Don’t know, what do you say sweet stuff? Want some action?” she asked with a laugh. Amy laughed too and looked at Katie “Don’t worry, we’re just joking around, we don’t actually do that stuff.” Tina nodded “Not until later when we’re drunk and high enough at least.” She laughed again.

Then Tina got up from Amy’s lap all of a sudden and looked at the two of them “I’m going to go talk with some of the others, you two have fun in the meantime.” She smiled and walked away right after. Then Amy looked at Katie after Tina had walked away and took a drag of her cigarette again “So do your parents even know that you’re here sweet stuff?” she asked her with a smile and took another sip of her beer, that she had now actually emptied. She got up fast from her beanbag now and swayed a little, closing her eyes for a moment and opened them again right after “Woo, the room is swinging.” She laughed a little and looked at Katie “I’m going to get something to drink, sit in my beanbag, I don’t want to lose it while I’m going away to get my beer.” She smiled and started walking over towards the fridge again. She took a couple of drags of her cigarette on the way over there, and when she got to the fridge, she opened it and grabbed four beers, closing the fridge again and walked back to the beanbag, hoping that Katie had held it like she said she should while she went to get the beer.

For the first time, Katie actually started to feel a tiny bit more at home. Well, kind of. Tina and Amy were clearly quite comfortable in their sexuality - they were practically swimming in it! Metaphorically speaking, Katie was more the type to wade comfortably in the shallow end... or maybe in the kiddie pool... Her parents didn't know, most of the people she went to school with didn't know, Nat was one of the few people who had a single clue about her preferences. She was starting to wonder if this was all some clever ploy to help her meet someone, or at least get her to come out of her shell. And damn her if it wasn't actually starting to work, at least a little.

She wasn't nearly ready to be like the other girls though, not by a long shot! She certainly wasn't interested in the guys, and even the offer of a quick lay from someone like Tina, who was pretty and all, seemed a bit out of her league. She blushed again and fumbled in her lap only to find a moment later they were kidding. Sort of, anyways. Man, those who could flirt like champions! She watched as Tina left, finally managing to find her voice again. Amy asked her to watch her seat, so she flipped herself out of the chair and into the beanbag instead. She noticed her own beer was growing low and wished she'd asked the other girl for another one as well, finding she really enjoyed the way her head buzzed. The room was spinning for her as well, and she kind of intended to keep that going.

Unfortunately, while she was doing an admirable job of making sure that Amy's seat remained occupied, she hadn't been quite as fierce about the chair she'd been sitting in. She hardly even realized someone had come along and taken it to another part of the room until she saw Amy returning. She was quite grateful to see she had a few extra beers in her arms, but her smile faded as she realized she was left without a place to sit - and she wasn't sure that the floor was really a viable option. "Oh dear..."

As Amy back over to where Katie was still taking care of the beanbag, she saw that the chair Katie had been sitting on had been taken by someone else. That was just how it was at a party, if you left your chair open, well, someone else might just take it and you would end up with no place to sit. But instead of getting annoyed about it, since she didn’t really feel that she wanted to get annoyed that early in the evening, she just put the beers down on the table in front of her and Katie. Then she pushed Katie a little on the beanbag chair so there were enough room for the both of them to sit on it, grabbed two beers and let herself drop down in the beanbag chair, sitting close up against Katie in it, but it was better than have one of them sit on the floor, at least for now. Amy opened the two beers and handed one to Katie before she took a long sip of her own beer “Ahh that’s the stuff, just what I needed.” She said loudly over the music, trying to speak loud enough for Katie to hear her even though she wasn’t sure if the volume she used was even high enough to reach Katie through the music. She lit another cigarette again and took a deep inhale of it, closing her eyes and letting the smoke come out of her nose slowly, liking the slow feeling of the smoke coming out like that. Then she opened her eyes again and held the pack over to Katie again “Want one more?” she asked with a smile.

Tina and Kane were now talking together, trying to figure out if they had enough alcohol for everyone to enjoy themselves. They both decided that they eventually did have enough, and if they did run out, people would just have to go and buy their own stuff from the local corner shop not too far away, which was pretty much open through the whole day and night, of course with shift changes, but still open through all day and night. They both came over with some small chairs with some other friends to where Katie and Amy were sitting again and made a small camp with Amy and Katie. Tina smiled at Amy and leaned over to her “Can I take one of your cigarettes?” she asked. Amy nodded and found her unopened pack as she still waited to see if Katie wanted one from her other pack “Sure, go ahead and take one, grab one for Kane too, I think he would like to have one, I can spot it in his eyes.” Tina looked over at Kane and laughed “That’s not what the thing in his eyes says, he just wants to fuck you, again.” Amy rolled her eyes “I did it once, I lost a bet, and that’s how it is. It’s annoying that I was that good in bed that he can’t let it go.” Tina laughed again “Well, you can’t blame a guy for wanting the best, it’s in their nature.” Amy shrugged “True, but he was still the worst I’ve slept with.” She laughed again and Tina joined in, Kane just ignoring them as he talked with some of their other friends in the little circle camp.

Katie had to admit, she was a little bit shocked by this show of friendliness. She had rather expected to be told to shove off and take a seat on the floor or find herself a chair. Instead, she found herself pressed up tight against the cute girl, which was a pleasant enough experience but one that caused her to revert a little to her more shy side. She was worried this might get in the way of her evening of fun - which was surprisingly quite enjoyable after all. When the beer was offered, she took it with a smile and a nod. She cracked it open and began drinking deeply from it, letting the alcohol wash over her and loosen her up a bit more. She was sure she was going to need this if she was going to make it through the rest of the night. These were fine people to hang out with indeed, but not her usual crowd. Well, okay, so her usual crowd was pretty much just herself and one other person, but the point remained true.

To her surprise, the beer was gone in a flash, and she found herself reaching for a cigarette as well. At this point, she was looking for any possible port in a storm, even if it was something that she didn't normally do. She smiled softly and leaned up to Amy's ear with a "Thanks" before getting it lit up with some help. She pulled the cig up to her lips and took a slow draw, still not wishing to embarrass herself by coughing up a storm or hacking up a lung or two. It seemed to be a little easier this time around, and she let a bit of the smoke out through her mouth and nose with a satisfied sigh. Yeah, she was starting to see how these things could catch on, no matter how dangerous they were. Of course, all the loose talk of sex still unsettled her a bit, and she prayed they didn't decide to ask her too much about her personal history since she couldn't imagine a good way to confess her virginal nature, especially since she would have to shout it out over the music.
