Raina sat next to her father in the temple, listening talk to the foxen people. They had se real issues at which her father tried to solve. Her icy blue eyes watched, in comparison to her father Raina was a spitting image of there queen whom had passed during childbirth of her now 4 year old baby brother. Raina had took on the responsibility of raising her brother not only was it her duty. It she made that promise to her mother and she planned to keep it. Her fathers left hand touched Rainas right she looked down, her father had silver fur dappled with black, she liked up at the wise green eyes of her father. Which sparkled when he smiled, she smiled back. "youre take care of your brother Raina" he said, Raina nodded with no argument. She stood her golden strawberry hair fell to her waist the rest or her body was covered in the same color fur. Her dress was black at the body and at the ends it was silver emborderd

She smiled at several foxen, whom in return smiled and bowed. Showing respect to there princess. Raina left the great hall and went into the nursery where her brother was playing with another foxen. She smiled her baby brother reminded her or her father in every way. Her brother looked up and walked to her, she smiled and picked up her brother.

Gaurion watched the spires of the temple from afar, perched in the thickest branches of a tree along with his fang brothers. His silver eyes narrowed, nestled over a muzzle marked with runic symbols. The black furred anthro grunted at the others, making an indistinct hand signal at the others. In fluid grace, the trio leapt from the tree and onto the soft mossy ground. It would not be a simple raiding party this time. There was a clear objective to be met this time other than looting foodstuffs and valuables. It was time for the wolves to fully extend the reach of their tribe. The boughs and branches of the entire surrounding treeline around the foxen haven trembled violently as packs of wolves dressed in tribal robes left their hidden perches.

An advance guard, moving as four legged natural wolves were the first to attack, pouncing the red furred patrols that littered the forest. It was all too quiet, to precise. There would be no warning bell resounding as the first of the wolves made their way to charge through the main gates in each cardinal direction of Raina's home. Gaurion would not be at the forefront of the attack, however. He and only a small group of warriors would make their way up the pathetic excuses for walls, scaling them with rope and claw. Taking leaping strides over crenelated walls, they would make their way towards the sacred temple of the fox people.

Raina smiled at her little brother and brought him to the great hall. Her father smiled at her as she sat down. She smiled back her brother giggled and got close to his sister. She smiled as she saw one of her childhood freinds in the crowd. Her brother pulled her hair, she hissed at him "enough of that " she said to him.

Main doors of the temple erupted, letting loose a wave of blade and claw as wolfen raiders poured into the sacred hall. Catching their prey unawares only add to the onslaught as the few token foxen guards were dispatched with swift and brutal fashion. Gaurion kicked aside one dying guard as he approached the main chamber where the king and his court were likely to be found. Silent hand motions directed his comrades towards adjacent hallways. They knew their orders and replied with only nods before vanishing past curtained archways.

Raina sensed something was off, she looked at her father. As the noise reached the main chamber "hide Raina you and your brother" Raina nodded and went to the hiding spot under the main chamber. Her brother giggled, Raina looked at him and put her finger to her lips "shh" her brother stopped and buried his face in her shoulder scared.

The temple's grand halls resounded with the cries of battle, the screams of terror as wolves and fox-kin fought desperately for supremacy. Gaurion and his personal guard were fighting their way towards the central chamber. The main doors flew open as he and three other wolfen raiders barged into the room. Without fear or hesitation, the leader of the assault strode towards Raina's father. "Old man..., this has been a long time coming...," he drawled with a gravel toned voice.

He had been taught about the leader of the fox kin since the wolf had been a pup, awaiting the day he would come face to face with the old vulpine. "Where is she?" he asked, his dark eyes darting around the rather empty chamber. Pulling at the hilt of his mace, he barked again, "Where is Raina?"

"Why should I tell you wolf" he said not wanting him to find her. Raina looked at her brother and put her fingers to he lips. Her brother nodded and went quite she looked out the very small peephole. Her brother sat in the corner of the small place Rainas muscles ached from bending so long but she dared not move fearing they would find her. She didn't know why the wolf had come for her. It she didn't want to fond out.
