Nikita remained silent as she listened to the woman. Despite the woman's reasonable defense, Nikita was still angry with her. Nikita picked up on the tone dropping and it appearing as the woman attempted to calm and settle things. Nikita sighed heavily as the woman finished. "Fine. I will do that. However, despite what you may have been going through, I want you to keep this in mind. Your daughter could have died and that would have been on you. Also, do not call here again nor try to contact Kairi. Not for a while at least. I will let you know when you are in the clear to do so again. This is for the best for right now." With that, Nikita hung up on the phone. Nikita remained on the couch, crossing one leg over the other as she gnawed over the woman's words. What the hell did she mean by 'not normal'? Everyone has their quirks granted, but Nikita could not think of any that would make Kairi stand out above everyone else. It was clearly beginning to bug Nikita on what the woman meant and she was determined to find out. Nikita began to wonder if her best friend had kept something from her for all these years. Was that bad that she would keep it from her best friend? Nikita nearly felt hurt, but she was open to reason. At least from Kairi she was.
Nikita awaited as Kairi finished her shower and when Kairi came out into the living, Nikita looked at her best friend. Nikita smiled at her warmly. "Kairi, we need to talk." Her smile slightly faded as she sighed and uncrossed her legs, leaning forward as she placed her elbows on each leg, her arms propped up as she rested her chin against the palms of her hands. "Please don't be angry with me, but I just got off the phone with your mother. I had called and left her a rather angry message and she just returned the call. I just want you to know that I told her she's not allowed to call her again or have any contact with you for a while. I think it'll be for the better that way for a little bit in the least." Nikita paused as she looked to her friend to see whatever reaction she could see on the other's face before continuing. "Anyhow, during the conversation something was brought. Your mother was saying something about you not being a normal girl but wouldn't tell me what she meant by that. What did she mean? Is there something that happened that you didn't tell me about? What is it? You know I'm your best friend, and whatever it is, please tell me. I want to know. It won't effect our friendship at all, I promise...Just please tell me.."
