The forest was still. Occasionally, a single stray Pokemon would scurry across the field. These, however, were not Shin's target. He was looking for a beautiful Pokemon he spotted earlier. An Umbreon. White hair hung low in the young trainer's face as he began to look for the Eeveelution. Sadly, Shin was stuck with no other Pokemon. This Umbreon, he decided, was going to be his first... A dumb idea on his part. "Where are you?" he mumbled lowly as he scanned the treeline, looking for the Dark-type.

Umbreon listened to the humans footsteps her tail twitched. Her golden eyes watched him she ran out of the bush in front of him and ran to the other side. Her hair was black as coal. She knew she wasn't supposed to be out at this time but she was disrupted from her sleep. She has to move had to get away.

Shin's eyes suddenly focused on a single dark figure in the light. The Umbreon. A small grin formed on the trainer's face as he traced the fox-like Pokemon across the clearing. He had to work quickly to catch up with the speedy Pokemon. Thinking fast, Shin immediately began to chase the fox-like Pokemon on foot. However, that was going to be a loosing battle as the Umbreon dove between trees and bushes, making it hard to keep even in eyesight. However, this did not set the trainer off. Instead, this only increased his efforts to catch the Dark type. Finally, the silver-haired male began to pick up speed, not paying attention to anything besides the Eeveelution.

Another mistake. Not keeping sure footing, the trainer tripped over an exposed root of a nearby tree, causing him to fall, face-first in the dirt, his ankle twisting at a weird angle. A groan of pain escaped the newbie trainer as he rolled onto his back, pulling his leg up. He had twisted his ankle. "Dammit!" he cursed, "Not now!" Wincing in pain, Shin pulled himself up to a nearby tree, resting on the trunk as he fought to pull himself back to his feet. The Umbreon was getting away. The trainer, frowned as he tried to put pressure on his foot, he realized that he would have to work on fixing it before he could walk again. A single tear ran down his face from his blue eyes.

Slowly, Shin slid down the trunk, clutching his ankle tightly to alleviate the pain some. Already, he had screwed up.... There went the first catch for him.

Umbreon turned hearing a cry of pain. She went to the trainer standing th help them there was no reason why she could help someone who was hurt.
