Barons/ Death Barons
1920s New Orleans, a place of Jazz, Swing, Fun, Booze, Organized Crime, Voodoo and…Gods?
A group of friends play in a Swing band called “The Barons”. The band is a smooth front for their gentlemen bootlegging gang. The young men soon meet Sister Midnight, a Voodoo Priestess who introduces them to Gods. The group become the Champions of these gods and gain a female companion/love interest who can shape shift into the chosen god’s signature animal and act as your character’s “sponsor/guardian”
The general plot is more about the gang becoming a full fledged "Gentlemen" Mafia than vengeful gods, though some Champions do show up as antagonists.
The gods can be one of two choices:
A. The Gods are the Gods of Death from every Pantheon.
B. The Gods are the Loa/ Voodoo Pantheon.
I choose A. because we won’t have to fight over the cool gods.

Personality: Like the others he is a pure gentleman. He would be a ladies’ man if he tried, but he is too honorable to play around. His friends are his family. He treats everyone equally and loves all music. Usually upbeat but known to become angry especially when it involves his family or a woman. He is chivalrous to a fault. He also has a predilection for stories and jokes, especially stories involving tricksters and jokers. Tales of the Native American Coyote and the Chinese Monkey King are his favorites. Though most of the first half of his life was full of hardship, he still kept and keeps a good outlook on things.
History/ Bio: Orphaned at a young age. Met his lifelong friends a few years later. He was one of the main architects of the band and gang. He remembers nothing of his mother, but a little of his father. He remembers how his father could make a trumpet sing like a bird. These memories influenced him to learn the trumpet himself.
