Mark MacDonald looked at the digital clock on the dashboard of his car, then down to his watch.
"Didn't think I'd be home this early," he quipped to himself before turning the car off.
Mark's meeting at work went a lot smoother than expected; hence his getting home a lot earlier than he originally thought. His wife, not expecting him at the time, went to have dinner and drinks with a few friends from the neighborhood. His daughter was...well, who knows where she was. Her car was in the driveway, though.
He grabbed the briefcase from the passenger seat of his car and got out of the vehicle. He walked into the house from the garage door, and immediately heard the loud noise and felt the bass booming from upstairs.
"The hell? That music is WAY too loud," he muttered as he made his way up the steps, still in his business attire, a white dress shirt, red-and-black striped tie and black dress slacks.
