in the realm of lust and seduction
It was a calm Monday afternoon in the city, the sky was bright and cheerful, a perfect blue and filled with perfect fluffy white clouds. It was such a perfect day, the air warm but not hot, just a touch humid and filled with a soft wind that blew away the smog and let the sunshine fall down without any hindrance. The city streets where filled with people, the new collage campus almost over run with students who where just moving in and starting to unpack their dorms. It was a week till the first day of a new school year and the air was thrumming with excitement and anticipation, one young woman in particular was very excited. She was walking own the street, a torn off piece of the newspaper in her hand as she walked, studying the clipping as she looked around, trying to find her way to the apartment she would hopefully be sharing. She had no job yet, but it wouldn't be hard for someone as pretty as her wouldn't have any trouble at all finding a place to work that had plenty of pay.

She was very beautiful, she couldn't have been older than her twenties, she probably wasn't even old enough to legally drink yet. She had a sweet, innocent face with large perfect eyes that where the color of a light cocoa, or a brown sugar, the large orbs filled with delight at the prospect of her new life. Her hair, almost the exact same shade of her eyes and falling to her mid back, swayed perfectly in the wind, sending the scent of her perfume across the air. She was wearing a bright and cheerful yellow dress with a large flower on the shoulder, almost a childish dress that fell to her ankles, a pair of gentle sandles on her feet as she skipped along, pausing in front of the apartment building she had been looking for, beaming happily at no one as she skipped up to the room that was 'renting' and knocked on the door, beaming as the door was pulled open.

“Hi there! I'm Cera Thompson and I saw your article in the paper and I was wondering if your still looking for a room mate? I'm very friendly and I clean up after myself and I can cook too so I can make dinners and things after classes. I don't sleep much because of insomnia but I don't make much noise.” she promised, jabbering away happily. “i'll be gone most of the day anyway for my classes, I'm going to collage but I will make sure to always have my share of the rent!” she promised beaming at him happily, holding out the newspaper clipping to him as if it was a precious check that needed to be cashed right away. As if that little slip of useless paper would be her very ticket to a new home in her new life. “i was wondering though what your policy is on pets? I have a snake you see, he's very harmless but he pines when he's separated from me, I do have a friend who can take care of him if you don't allow pets but i'd like to keep him here if it's alright?” well wasn't she a hyper little thing, just jabbering away without giving him a chance to respond before suddenly falling silent, looking almost horrified. “oh I'm sorry! I have a tendency to jabber on and on, I'm just so excited!”

Ross was never too fond of humidity. Today was not so bad but, still he did not like it. As such his fridge was always well stocked with important necessities like cubed ice in the freezer and cans of generic popular beer in the fridge. It was a week before the start of classes at the local university. Living on the main avenue that lead to the school, Ross knew it was as busy as usual. He had cleaned the apartment the previous week and was surprised to find it still in order. This morning found him in the shower cleaning up and also attempting to get a little cooled off from the heat.

Ross was not what he considered handsome, he wasn't ugly by far though either. He was of average build, not a toothpick but not chubby either. His trimmed blond hair perfectly accentuated his blue eyes. He enjoyed a wide range of activities. He played chess with the older men in the park on Sundays, participated in the odd game of pick up football now and then whenever the mood struck him. most days though he could be found in his computer room playing the latest popular MMO. Ross had placed his spare room up for sublet about a week ago. He was in total control of who he wanted to let the room out to as his dad owned the building.

Ross got out of the shower and dried off when he had heard a loud knocking on his door. He never had time to dress so he just wrapped the towel around himself and walked out to the entrance. He opened the door and there stood a very beautiful young girl. Ross was struck for a moment by her beauty, her yellow dress with shoulder flower attachment and finally by the barrage of hyperness she displayed. From it all he discerned two things. Her name was Cera, a lovely name he thought, and she seemed pretty much independent but loved helping out.

"come in and have a seat," he said moving slightly out of the way and stepped over to his stereo where Ac/DC's thunderstruck was playing. "Please excuse me while I go and make myself a little more decent." Ross strolled down the hall and into his bedroom. *wow* he thought *she is so hot!* He rummaged for something to wear but only found a pair a knee length shorts and pulled them on and slipped a white T-shirt over his toned chest. Ross returned to where Cera was sitting. He had a good about her but did not know why. "You are in luck Cera," he said, "the place is still available." He took a seat on the opposite side of her. "The rent will be due at the end of each month," he explained, "It is $350 payable to me."

Cera loved all kinds of weather, she loved the sunshine, she loved the snow, she loved the rain and tornadoes and blizzards and sleet storms... in all honesty she loved just about everything, life was so fun and exciting she just loved everything that could happen. she beamed at him when he opened the door and blushed a little as she realized he was mostly naked, only a towel hiding his body from her, making her wonder just what was under that towel, which only made her blush even more. she bounced into the apartment and settled onto the couch smiling as she looked around, her head tilted as she studied the kitchen and living area, pondering how she might be able to help brighten it a little, it was such a man cave. she had plenty of ways of brightening the apartment up without ruining the masculine touch he had on everything, maybe a vase of flowers on the tv stand, fake flowers of course, she killed everything she touched when it came to plants. maybe a small picture on the wall, she'd ask first of course.

"oh wonderful!" she chirped happily as she clapped her hands together eagerly before digging into her pretty yellow purse and holding out her first months rent. "i'll start paying right away!" she promised giggling brightly at him. "i'll go and get my things then!" she decided hopping to her feet beaming at him. "thank you so very much for letting me rent your room!" she chirped beaming at him before skipping out the door to go and get her things from the truck that had parked out front, her older brother chuckling as he helped her move all three boxes, bed, and dresser into the new room, pausing only to shake Ross's hand before he left, leaving Cera to try and figure out how to assemble her bed, desk, and dresser by herself, the woman frowning as she tried to fit her bed together, her head tilted a little as the mattress fell off the wall and landed on her, making her huff in annoyance. "Darren could at least have stayed to help me put all this together!" she whined sulking a little as she hopped to her feet and peeked out at Ross. "uhm... can i get some help? i don't know how to put any of this together... i never got your name..." she admitted blinking sweetly at him. "if you help me, i'll make you something special for dinner?" she bribed grinning happily. she had two thousand dollars in her bank account, and five hundred... no two fifty in cash in her purse to get her started. she could afford to make him something very nice for dinner, she was going to get a job before the week was out anyway.

Ross took the rent money from Cera. He watched as she bounded from the apartment and soon re-appeared with her belongings. *She must have had them outside* he thought. He counted three boxes, a bed and dresser being taken into the now occupied room. He shook hands with the guy that had helped her. Ross settled down on the couch and turned on the TV and started flipping through channels. He heard Cera's voice calling out to him from her new room.

Ross got up and felt a little embarrassed. "Oh please forgive my lack of manners," he apologized," My name is Ross Jenkins. My father LeRoy Jenkins owns the place but allows me to choose the roommate as it their rent gives me my party cash." Ross walked into her room and spied the three boxes stacked along the wall. Cera was standing amidst several bed parts and a fallen mattress. "I'd be glad to help." he said. Ross picked up the screw driver and the instructions. "I know," he said, "You can be my lovely assistant like those magicians have on TV...just not dressed so scantily. Ross chuckled and kinda wondered what she would look like with less clothing on. Ross gazed at the instructions briefly and began to assemble the bed. "Cera?" he paused, "Can you get me the small bag labeled 'B' I need some connector bolts. After about 35 minutes of screwing and bolting things together the bed was fully assembled. Ross placed the mattress on the frame and then sat down on it to test its durability. He bounced lightly on it. "This is a nice bed Cera," he said, "come here, you gotta try this."

she beamed at him as he got up to help her. "it's nice to meet you Ross!" she chirped happily. "will you be throwing parties here? i've never been to a party, unless you count slumber parties." she admitted with a small giggle. "would you prefer me to pay with Check or cash?" she asked curiously as she watched him settle itno all the parts, grinning as he promised her she could be the assistant. "well, i do have a tube top and a miniskirt that i could put on." she teased grinning happily at him. "thank you for helping me, Darren is a jerk, i can't beleive my mom made him drive me. i totally would have rather driven myself." she admitted shaking her head. "he's so moody." she complained simply grinning as she handed him the parts he needed, her head tilted as she watched him assemble everything and then settle onto the bed and bounce on it, grinning as she joined him, bouncing on the bed.

"it is nice! i have to admit i was a little worried it was going to be a bad mattress." she admitted. "i've never had to buy a bed before so i had no idea what i was doing." she admitted flopping back on the bed with a sigh, closing her eyes as she laid there as if waiting for him to do something. "as promised i'll make dinner tonight." she chirped suddenly opening her large brown eyes to smile at him. "what would you like? i'm told i'm a great cook." she admitted grinning again at him her head tilted. "i'm kind of in the mood for something Italian, do you like Italian?" she asked grinning at him. "i could make some Escargot or some frogs legs." she giggled, as if trying to gross him out. "or i could make some squid ink noodles? or some birds nest soup." she mused. in all honesty she was thinking a nice delicious lasagna, but she wanted to see how he would react.

The thought of seeing Cera in a tube top and skirt made him smile. "Oh cash is fine with me if it is okay with you," he told her, "I had issues with one renter giving me checks and then making me wait til the money was there before I could cash it." Ross caught himself staring at Cera as she laid there on the bed. Her full lips were pouty looking and her ample breasts heaved with every breath as if to say 'come play with us' Ross shook those thoughts from his head as he had just met her and did not know her well enough to make a move like that. "My dad does not allow me to throw parties here," he explained, "but with living here on University avenue there are parties going on all the time it seems."

Ross grimaced a bit. Deep down he knew she was only joking but the thought of frogs legs and escargot my his stomach turn. "Something Italian would be awesome," he told her, "Lasagna is my weakness." Ross had been known to do whatever a woman wanted after eating his fill of lasagna. "Tell you what" he said, "I'll finish constructing your dresser while you go out and get the fixings for lasagna." he proposed the idea to her. "If you go down U.ave and turn left onto Price street you'll find a supermarket there."

Cera giggled a little and nodded a bit. "cash would be easiest." she admitted smiling happily before frowning a little. "you had to wait to cash your own check? that doesn't seam fair." she admitted shaking her head a little before giggling a little. "what about little parties?" she asked grinning a little as she tilted her head at him. "like... like a tea party or something?" she liked to have small get togethers with freinds that usually involved games, drinking, good food, and conversation. nothing that would get out of control, just good old fashioned fun that anyone and everyone could enjoy. she giggled as she watched him grimace and kissed his cheek gently. "Lasagna it is!" she agreed leaping to her feet. "i'll make you my special cheesecake if you can put my desk together too?" she asked prodding the item still in the box that was nearly hidden by her personal boxes smiling happily at him as she skipped out of the house to get the things she'd need.

she came back half an hour later with an armful of groceries, everything she would need to make dinner with a bottle of wine and another of spiced rum and Kahlua, because she liked to drink, and everything she'd need to make strawberry swirled cheesecake, and lasagna. what might catch Ross's attention first, was the five foot long black snake with emerald eyes that was wrapped around her neck and shoulders like a necklace or a shawl. it was just laying there, letting her move about without a care in the world and she beamed at Ross. "this is Callisto, isn't she gorgeous?" she asked beaming at Ross. "you don't have to worry, she's perfectly tame." Cera promised beaming at him. in all his life, he would never come across a snake like this again, for it was no ordinary snake, but a magical one, a protector, the traditional term as a 'familiar' like what a witch might have. she hoped he didn't know too much about snakes or he might ask what kind of snake Callisto was, and she wasn't sure she could fool him.

(if you want, later Callisto can take a human form and your fellow can have two other worldly creatures to play with XDD)

Ross watched as Cera left the room and out the door to go shopping. He got to work finishing the dresser, which was hard due to the fact of having to get the pull out drawers just right. Once the dresser was finished he slid it back against the wall where it was out of the way. He knew Cera would want to position it herself later on. He picked up the directions to the desk and found it went together smoothly with no issue. He surveyed the room and felt a sense of pride on what he had created. He had just finished cleaning up his mess when he heard the door close.

Ross walked out into the main casually and nearly jumped out of his skin. Cera stood there with a green-eyed black snake wrapped around her neck. He recalled being told about the reptile earlier but never knew they would be meeting quite this soon. "Hi Callisto," he stammered. Ross could not believe that he was speaking to a snake, but he felt something about this one...he had never seen a snake with such emerald green eyes that almost had a look of intelligence to them. He shrugged the idea that there was more to this animal except that it was a simple snake and turned his attention to Cera. "I see you got everything you need from the supermarket," he remarked surveying the bags on the counter. "Care to follow me to your room so you can see the finished projects? he asked, "I can help you move them to where you would like to place them." he added.

she giggled a little and smiled as Calisto flicked her tongue at him, blinking those large emerald green eyes as if studying him before flicking her tongue and looking away as if dismissing him as unimportant. "don't worry Ross, Callisto is a sweetie." she promised beaming at him. "if you like i can keep her locked in my room." she promised smiling as she skipped over to him and to her room, clapping her hands. "Ross your amazing! your so good with tools!" she admitted beaming at him. "thank you so much!" she chirped, carefully helping him to move her bed against the wall, her desk to the window and the dresser over to the other wall, a simple setup, it was strange that she didn't seam to have anything else, no TV or stand no end tables no bookshelves and only a few boxes of personal items? most of which was probobly clothes... where was all of her things? Callisto had settled onto the bed and was sleeping while the two 'human's' chattered.

as soon as everything was where Cera wanted it she started cooking, browning the hamburger and chattering about whether he wanted three cheese or five cheese? "so what are you going to school for Ross? i'm a History and Languages Masters, and an Art study minor." she admitted beaming at him as she lifted the cake pan off the stove with a small grunt, it was heavy, a ten pound lasagna with five different kinds of cheese and real tomatoes, black olives and mushrooms.she brushed her hands clean and grabbed the packages of graham crackers, cream cheese and everything else she needed to make a strawberry swirled cheesecake beaming happily at him. "do you want the strawberries sugar glazed? i have enough to make some sugar glaze." she admitted. she honestly loved to cook, she'd gone to collage last time, about fifty years ago for a cooking master, but she had gotten bored and decided to come back and learn something else to keep her entertained, not that she'd ever say that out loud.

"mmm sugar glazed strawberries," Ross murmured, "Oh yes please, they're my favorite!" Ross had some time while he waited for the lasagna to cool a little. He lounged on the couch and thought about her question. "I kinda lack direction really," he told her, "My dad would love for me to follow him and become a lawyer, my mother wants me to follow her and become an accountant...I do love numbers," he continued, "I'm leaning towards accounting and I'll need as many math courses as I can muster."

The smell of the lasagna was filling up the room. Ross could not believe his luck, not only did he score a sexy looking roommate but one that can also put great chefs to shame with her prowess in the kitchen. Deep down he wondered if her prowess ended there, but figured it was too early to tell...he'd have to get her drunk first, and with that thought a smile broadened his face. "would you care for something to drink?" he asked, "I have water, soda, beer, wine, and some 100 year old scotch available." Ross made his way to the fridge and awaited her response.

she beamed at him a little. "mine too!" she admitted laughing a little as she started mixing together mashed strawberries to go into the cheesecake humming happily as she giggled. "maybe you should try to find your own path?" she asked smiling at him. "my mother wanted me to be a chef, she taught me how to cook from a very early age." she admitted. "but i would much rather learn history and languages, i could go on archeological digs all around the world, see amazing things! it will be so FUN!" she admitted beaming happily. "Math sounds so tedious though." she admitted. "i am very bad at math." she admitted. "the numbers get me all confused." she admitted smiling at him. "maybe you could teach me? i bet your very talented with numbers." she admitted giggling a little. "drinking?... well... i suppose a little won't hurt." she decided happily. "anything will be fine." she promised smiling a little. "i have a very low tolerance... so maybe only a very little." she decided. that was a lie of course, she could out drink any human if she wanted to, but she could smell his desire for her, and she wasn't about to pass up this opportunity to let him take advantage of her.

"let me just put this in the fridge and then i will have some wine." she decided smiling happily. "i like wine, especially strawberry." she admitted setting the cheesecake in the fridge and then setting the lasagna onto the stove to cool and set properly before bounding over to where he was pouring her a glass of wine, beaming at him as she kissed his cheek again. "your so kind." she admitted beaming at him as she accepted her wine taking a long drink with a happy sigh. "it's delicious." she admitted smiling at him. "the lasagna should have set enough by now, we should have wine with dinner." she decided smiling a little as she looked for plates and dished them both up, settling down to eat and enjoy idle conversation as she drank her wine, two glasses and started to act a little tipsy. "did you know.. that the ancient Greeks enjoyed wine with every meal? even the children?" she asked giving him a lazy, drunken smile as she blinked at him. "they did, they must have had a great tolerance." she admitted finishing the last of her glass before blinking at it. "mm i should stop... i'm getting drunk..." she admitted blinking slowly as she moved to set the glass down, grimacing as she missed the table, giggling a little. "oh my... i think i am drunk..." she admitted moving to try and clean up the broken glass.
