"Look...Ash, I don't want it to be like this. I don't want to insult you and say it like this--its so cliche. But its true, okay? Its not you...just, us. I don't see any real us."
Ashley had never really heard a breakup speach before, mostly because no woman had ever given him the time of day before. So the words that his 'girlfriend' of eight months--give or take three months-- came as a painful slap.
"Wait, what do you mean? We've been friends for--forever I mean...best freaks forever right?" He asked with a sadly pathetic whine of surprise and sorrow.
Before he looked at Carrie as a woman, they used to laugh at the wierdos who kissed on the lips. They promised that they would be the last people to ever kiss anyone!
Admitedly, she was his first kiss, but that was only because they changed their minds six months later.
"Don't make this harder than it has to be...this is my first break up too you know..." Ash could only focus on her lovely peach painted lips as she spoke, remembering what it tasted like to kiss her. Then the idea popped into his head. There was no time to think, if he was going to save the relationship he had to act!
The sixteen year old leaned in and grabbed his girl up into a deep, warm kiss and held her there.
When they parted, it was clear she was fighting back tears.
Yet her resolve didn't seem to waver. "We can still be friends, just like before. But...I don't see a real future for us as lovers." She said sweetly, her voice was heavy with melancholy but he knew that she was not going to change her mind.
He was quiet for a very long time.
The ticking of her cartoonish bell and hammer alarm clock was louder than ever before as it counted off the seconds.
The melodrama in his hormone addled head roared.
"But I love you!" He almost squeeked, before he remembered the balls hanging in his jeans.
"You know I love you too, that's why I am saying this..." she knew the look on his face, the one that said:'i won't give up! This is love!' She also knew that his resolve was just as unstopable as she was immovable.
"What happens when an unstopable force meet an immovable object, Ash?"
As soon as she said it he knew the answer.
"Okay, so what now?" He murmored.
A sweet smile spread across Carie's face. "We stay friends. We hug and laugh and be like before I guess." She didn't know, but the river of tears that Ash was preparing to unleash made her sure that she was right.
"WHAT DO I DOOOO NOW!" He sobbed as he collapsed to his knees and began wetting the carpet with tears.
Several hours later....
Ashley Williams trudged home, a look of abject sorrow on his face. Well, there went the only woman who would ever look at him. In that moment, he found it deeply odd that he should be named Ashley Williams, after a legendary asskicker and ladies man.
Ironically, he posessed none of those qualites. Despite being told he was handsome, the ladies of his school never seemed to like...him.
He had more 'I'm busy this weekend' texts than he could count.
When he finally arrived at his house he found a large paper wrapped box looking thing on the step. There was no address, no postage, nothing but his name scrawled across the tattered brown paper. Not suspicious at all.
He however was too consumed with the world ending ramifications of dying alone thanks to his lack of romantic prowess to notice the strangeness of the package. He just picked it up and dragged the insanely heavy 'thing' with him to his room and plopped himself on his bed, an looked at the wall with a glazed expression on his face.
Hours of wall-gazing later, bordom set in and convinced him to open up the package.
A quick yank and a loud rip revealed a grotesque face emblazoned on a book that seemed to be made out of flesh of somekind.
The necronomicon, he would know it anywhere, if for no better reason than he had watched Evil Dead about a hundred times.
Thrilled curiosity and a strong urge to distract himself from the disaster that took place hours earlier made him flip through the book with little concern for where it came from, who sent it of if the thing might have been real.
"KLAATU BARRATA NIKTO! KLAATU BARRATA NIKTO!" The foolish boy chanted as he tinkered with reality destroying magic.
Distantly, he wondered if he might get lucky, like in those stupid hentai that Carrie introduced him to. Maybe he might just summon up a nice succubus and make her regret leaving him....
He flipped the page to something that looked like a gate or key hole or something...
The words were different from the others, inked in blood red...
"Ooh...let's read that!" He chortled to himself as he struggled to pronounce the passage.
"Bakara Tonaso Forenze Gogarra Portende Oscarra!"
The world shook and turned sliver then there was nothing.
The spell had worked.
