It was the late morning when Chris arrived at the gate to the college, showing his ID before driving ahead towards one of many buildings. He looked to find the right one, it was building C. He passed A, then B and finally found C. He pulled into the parking lot and smiled as he hopped out of his car. It was his first day as a college professor, and he was only slightly nervous. The 24 year old was quite literally straight out of college and was lucky enough to replace a teacher who retired at the end of the last semester. He used to be a highschool teacher, teaching during the day and taking night classes to get his master's degree in History. He did just that, bidding his old job farewell as he took his new position.

He headed inside, walking down one of the hall to find the room he would be teaching in. He found it, it was room 211. He walked in and found a few early students already there, most of them on their phones or laptops. He walked down to the desk and set his things down ontop of it, sitting in the chair. He smiled to himself looking up at the student, a few more coming in every so often. He went up to the board, writing his name. 'Mr. Davis'. He checked his watch seeing it was about 15 minutes untill the class officially started. He took a seat and relaxed for a bit as it got closer to the start, and more students started to come in. He smiled, it wasn't a particularly large class that he experienced in college but it was certainly bigger than his highschool classes.

As five minutes were left, he stood up and sat on the edge of his desk, facing the group of students. He was a tall man, around 6 feet tall. He was fit with a medium build. He had short brown hair and keen blue eyes. He had a smile that could light up the room. He skin slightly tanned but not too dark. He wore a shirt and tie, as well as khaki pants. The class was about to begin so he stood once again. "Quiet please" he said in a calm voice. The students filled with shushes before getting quiet. He smiled, "Thank you. Welcome to History class. I'm your Professor Mr. Davis." he said. "This semester we're going to learn about a variety of cultures, people and countries. The good things, the bad things and the ugly things" he said with a grin. He went over to his bag and grabbed his laptop, connecting it to the projector. He went on with his lesson, getting used to the new faces and the new teaching environment. He could only imagine what that semester might bring him.

Leaning against a nearby tree, Claire watched students, TAs, and professors scurry into various buildings spread out across campus. It was the first day of school. She checked her watch, five minutes to go. She turned her attention to the building she was meant to go into for her 9 AM history class. Her schedule, that had been crumpled and folded a hundred times over, read "HIS105" and "CS 211" under Monday, 9 AM - 11 AM. Under that, it read "NA". She didn't know who was teaching it. She tucked a stray hair behind her ear, and clutched her messenger bag close, filled with her cell phone, laptop, pens, hand cream, and a chocolate bar.

She stayed under the tree for a few minutes more before she joined the sea of students who were rushing to get into the correct building, to find the classroom, and get a good seat. A few times, someone had frantically asked her if she knew where a certain building was. She smiled, and said it was her first year too. Normally, she would have been just like every other student, racing against the clock, and hoping to not be late, of today of all days. But, not today. She hadn't gotten enough sleep. The weather was so nice, not too hot and not too cool. There was a faint breeze that was comforting, that ruffled the ends of her tank-top that tickled her pale skin. She opened the front door of the main building that read, "Building C", and walked inside. She had been here, on campus, the day before, to see where all her classes were, she didn't want to be late for class. Now, she didn't mind.

She opened the door of the lecture hall, and stepped inside. Hearing the lecture hall buzz with the excitement of the school year, she realized, she wasn't late. She hadn't even heard the professor speak yet. Eyeing the classroom for a seat, she finally found one, sandwiched in between two girls, on the fifth row. She blushed, and mumbled an apology, as she walked past ten different people to get to the vacant seat in the middle. She slide on her glasses, and unfolded the desk so that it laid flat for her, and placed her laptop on top. That's when she first saw him. A moment later, memories started to flash before her eyes, taking her away from the classroom and back into the summer and then back into high school, where she realized that she had met her professor before.
