Silas Montgomery
Age 24
Body Slender, Athletic
Hair Black
Eyes Dark Brown

Silas Montgomery runs her own crafting supply business from the basement of her home in the country. She has a couple of horses in the barn she rides at different times when her friends are over. She has two dogs, Max and Merry both black labs that are her pride and joy when she is not working. She takes them to the small lake behind her barn for a swim once in awhile when she has free time.

Silas has everything a successful business woman needs or wants, a quiet home to share with her pets and entertain her friends and business associates. She only has one fear left over from her childhood. She fears things that go bump in the night especially strange unexplainable events. This was one thing her imaginary friend would cause to happen when he would not like something she did as children. It was his way of paying her back.

She is on holiday this week and closes her shop to spend time outdoors with her two dogs, to garden, catch up with neighbors, to go swimming in the lake behind her barn and to go horseback riding as well. This week she has felt at times she is not alone it is an odd feeling and though she has searched everywhere throughout her house she finds nothing. Still at times she feels eyes on her and begins to have odd dreams at night of someone sneaking into her bed.

A few times she has found herself aroused in her sleep, feeling hands on her. At other times she hears her name whispered in the night. Silas wonders what has changed to make her feel this way. She assumes it is because she and her boyfriend split up and went their separate ways. Little does she know there are two separate entities wanting her undivided attention.

The last thing the Jeffrey could remember was that he was sitting in Silas’ childhood bedroom playing with her, she was about 8 or 9 at the time. He was her absolutely best friend in the whole big wide world at the time, she had told him everything about her life, all of the little secrets that she’s gathered throughout the day. He knew which boys who she thought was cute, and all of the mean bullies that gave her a hard time doing grade school. They were playing with some of her toys and that her parents called her down to dinner. As soon as she had left her room and ran down stairs, and then he came Jeffrey could feel himself faded away again back into the realm of Ether that he had once come from. But this was a rather routine procedure; almost like going to sleep for Jeffery. He was bound to wake back up and be united with Silas…he didn’t awake so soon.

Jeffery had awoke. He was jolted back into being like someone falling asleep and abruptly waking up dramatically. He was laying in a field wearing slacks, a button up shirt tucked in with a nice polished belt, the sleeves rolled up. He stood up and surveyed his surroundings, he was in a remote country side. He looked at himself, fully grown, an adult. The only thing he could think about was, “Where’s Silas…and for God‘s sake, how much time has passed?” Brushing the little dirt and grass off of his body, he faced a direction that he was fixated on; in his heart he knew that she was somewhere out here. He started walked through the trees, and lightly dense forest environment.

After hiked many miles, the sun was starting to head back to the horizon, dusk was sinking into the sky. As the sky turned from it’s resplendent blues, to emotional and rich pinks, oranges, and other warm colors. Jeffery finally saw a house in the opening, there were other houses within the area, a small rural suburban community.

Jeffery had that warm feeling pierce his heart, he knew that he had found her. He came around the back of the home and found her frolicking with friends, passing time and swimming. He ran straight for her, screaming her name hoping that she would hear his matured voice and it was send her straight back to her childhood with him. But that didn’t happen, in fact she never once looked at him. He stood directly in front her, entirely surrounded by her friends. No one could see or hear him. He was essentially a ghost walking the land. Her dogs however did take some notice of his presence, but very little. They would sense and look at him, but just go back to what they were initially doing.

For the rest of the week, he tried to get her attention, but day after day he was never able to get her direct attention. Seldom would be notice, when he would shout and scream for her. It was in the middle of the week, and she was yet to see him. He needed to make himself known to her, or else he would unleash something that he couldn’t control…

Walking out to her back porch he sat in the one of the two rocking chairs, the seat on to the right of it, was hears that she always came out to relax in.

Silas came out with her two dogs on Wednesday morning to read her paper and let the dogs play before deciding how to spend the day. She walked past the two rocking chairs and followed the path up to the barn. She had her paper and a cup of coffee with her and proceeded to climb the narrow stairs to the hayloft. She loved this barn it was modernized and built to her specifications, thanks to her Dad who presented the land, home and barn as a gift to her when she opened her crafting supply business.

She pressed a button at the top of the stairs and the hayloft door opened and a built in deck appeared in the back of the barn. The view was amazing, she never tired of it. The gorgeous expanse of trees that led to the deep forest was before her eyes and beyond the forest was a lake that was filled with all kinds of freshwater fish, plenty of wild animals came to drink at various times of day. She would occasionally go riding out there to take pictures of the wild life. The land belonged to her, and it was private and no one hunted on this property.

Her cell phone rang and she answered it. It was Jacob her ex boyfriend. He missed her and wanted to visit as friends only, asking if he could come over. She missed him too and told him she would be in front of the house waiting for him. Silas was almost back to the house when she faintly saw an image of a young man sitting in one of her rocking chairs. She stopped and stared at the chair trying to see something that she thought she saw. She gave a quick shake of her head. “Silas,” she said aloud, “what do you think you saw?” then she laughed and proceeded to go around to the front of the house to wait for Jacob.

He arrived shortly parked his car got out and embraced her with a warm hug. “I have missed you Silas,” he said then he kissed her deeply. Silas returned his kiss neither pulling away from the other for a long time. Jacob swooped her into his arms and carried her into the house and went straight into her bedroom laying her on the bed and laying next to her.

“Are we getting back together Jacob?” He was the one to break up with her and she didn’t want a friends with benefits type relationship. He looked at her and said nothing. She told him to leave, and not to come back unless it was to make a commitment.
