Emilia pushed open the door to the bathroom and walked over to one of the many luxurious looking sinks. For a brief moment she just stood in front of it, her hands resting on either side of the basin. Steadying her breaths, she glanced at her reflection in the mirror. Oh, she was disgusted with what she saw. She looked a fright to be sure. Her eyes were watery and ever so slightly red-rimmed from her crying. Her pale skin was splotchy and those freckles. It was ghastly. Heaving a sigh, she moved to turn on the water to splash some cold water against her face. No doubt it would improve things, or so she hoped. After several minutes, she was satisfied that she was as improved as she would be and so she walked back to the door and out into the corridors once more. She wondered if her absence had made anyone wonder overly much.
