It was already late afternoon when Alice got off the train and entered Hogsdale Train Station. She couldn't help but smile as she entered the hustle and bustle of the station, taking in its sounds and smells, the colorful sights of tourists, locals and other students alike. Yes. She was going 'home'.

Alice's summer residence never felt like a true home to her. It hadn't since she started staying at the youth hostel at the tender age of sixteen. It was so cold and unfeeling and far away from anyone she loved and cared for. There, she was an outsider. A witch among muggles. Different and unable to fit in no matter how hard she tried. And so she'd pine for autumn and the days when she could rejoin Lori and Sam. This past summer had been especially brutal.

Pushing her cart full of luggage, Alice walked along the platform of the station. She wasn't sure who she'd see. Friend or other. But either way, soon she'd be at Hogwarts Secondary. Soon she'd be sitting with friends and giving hugs to both Lori and Sam.

Nicko fixed his tie as he walked into Hogsdale train station, normally he would have apparated but he felt like taking the train to catch a glimpse of the scenery. He was excited to further his magical education and being able to do it in one of the best magic schools ever heard of was an honor for him.

Nicko hadn't done much after graduating, he had always wanted a magical career but didn't know exactly what he wanted to do. He worked various muggle jobs to pay rent for his apartment in Germany. The young man had lived on his own for nearly a year seeing he had no real home to go to after graduating, his father wasn't around and his mother had passed away so he was put into an orphanage at the age of 11. The only real home he knew was the Deutsch-Schule für Hexerei und Zauberei, it was an all boys school and the students were like brothers to him.

He looked around at everyone wandering around the station and wondered how many of those people were his classmates. Nicko was shy so he was never one to start a conversation with anyone so he just stood quietly trying to figure out where to go next.

"Brother hurry up, we need to get moving," A somewhat high pitched comment sprung out from a young woman. The young woman was a bit excited, she had never been out to one of the wizard schools before. Being homeschooled, she had lived a pretty isolated life, up till that point, just her, her family and some people who lived in the area around them. She had spend time reading, enjoying getting along with the muggle neighboors of there, and preparing for this even, that was bound to happen. She was curious about what this whole experience would be like, so far from what her big brother had told her, it had been a bit different, but she wanted to figure it all out for herself.

"Zoe, Slow down, a bit," A young man commented as he pushed a good sized cart with both of the laggage inside of it. Samson, unlike his little sister, had been off to school to a place far away, and he knew that it had been rather exciting when he first arrived there as well. He also knew that as he was there, it got a good bit less exciting. He figured, he would let Zoe enjoy the newness while it was still around. Then again, part of him, was looking forward to seeing this impressive place, there was a fair about of newness to this new school, he be going to as well. He did notice the sheer amount of people who seemed to be arriving that day, seemed like this would be a rather busy day as it were.

Zoe stopped for a moment as she let her brother catch up to her, "hmm, wonder how many people are here, and how many of them are students," she mused outloud to her brother. Her eyes looking around for a moment. "Hi everyone," she yelled out waving aimlessly for a moment before looking back at her brother. "Well, we should get moving then, right?"

"Yeah, I think they know who you are now, Zoe, I figure we should head to this place, wonder what it will be like," he commented to his sister idlely as he walked with her. He knew that this was going to be interesting, but he figure the two of them would figure someway to adapt and fit into this new place they were arriving at.

Alice twisted a long strand of hair between her fingers for a moment as she walked through the train station. She glanced at her dark hair before finally tucking it behind an ear. Just then a tiny mew sounded from her luggage cart and she smiled a little.

"Oh Pippen," Alice sighed softly. She stopped then and moved to where her cat sat in his crate atop one of her bags. He looked out at her as if to say he wished to be carried instead. The girl just shook her head and frowned. "You know I would, Pip. I promise to give you the best belly rub later this evening for being such a wonderful traveler." The cat mewed once more and curled up as if to say he approved. Alice could only giggle at her sweet cat's actions, the lovely orange and vanilla tabby all but preening at having gotten his way.

Suddenly, Alice could hear voices that seemed to carry above the rest in the busy station. The accents were definitely American and from what she could tell from friendly enough folk. Blinking and twisting about to see where the voices were coming from, she happened to see a male and female pair, the male decidedly older. Siblings, if she had to guess and more than likely heading to Hogwarts Secondary. Smiling to herself, she wondered what sorts they'd be like, which house they'd end up in.

Biting down on her lip, Alice found herself suddenly really missing both Lori and Sam.

Riku made her way into the crowded station with a smile on her face. She was excited to be returning to Hogwarts even if it was a secondary Hogwarts it was still Hogwarts to her. Riku had so many great memories during her years at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and she was excited to further her education at Hogwarts Secondary. She had graduated top of her class and impressed quite a few of the professors. Riku wanted to become a professor upon graduating but decided on continuing school to see if becoming a teacher was what she really wanted.

She looked around at all the people in the station and noticed a few people with uniforms on. Riku looked at her map and began to walk while reading it. After a few moments she bumped into someone and fell backwards, she stood up immediately.

"My goodness I am so sorry I wasn't paying attention I feel like a complete idiot" ,she said looking at the person she had just bumped into.

Riku began to pick up her things that were scattered on the station's floor, her smile had faded and her cheeks were bright red with embarrassment.

Both Zoe and Samson did notice the young woman whom had bumped into someone not to far away, Zoe and Samson looked at each other for a moment before they went over and gathered up some of the stuff that was on the floor, Each had been raised to help others, to do what was right, it was something there parents had reminded them a lot during there studies and life at home. The two walked up with some of her things, and offered them to young woman.

"Well here you go," Zoe commented as the two put them down for her to put away, "We are in a hurry, I see your a student, maybe we will meet again later," she said in passing.

"Yeah, nice to meet you, and keep your eyes up, things move fast around here," Samson added as he walked off with his sister.

He could tell Zoe really wanted to get to the school, he couldn't blame her, he was looking forward to it as well. It was going to be different, and it was going to be fun. The two twins slipped out of the train station, quickly after that both looking forward to seeing this place of education, and where they would be spending there time. Zoe a little more pumped, it being the first place she stayed outside of home, and a bit nervous cause of it as well.

The one figure slowly got off of the train, the hooded cloak covering her. One could tell the person was female, as there was no attempt to hide the exterior gender features. The hood was large enough that the face was not visible, and the unidentified young woman had her one bag and a satchel over her shoulder. The cloak, just a half inch or so from the ground didn't conceal her leather shoes, and she moved swiftly, getting into one of the carriages by herself. She had been told to report immediately to the school, as the Head Mistress had wanted to see her before she was even Sorted.

The carriage moved to take her, nothing rude about her but she was not wanting to dawdle about. If she was going to be here, she had to do as told for now....

Alice watched the American couple for a moment, suddenly helping another girl who'd accidentally dropped some items. It was sweet how'd they's stopped to help out and were polite about doing so. It made her wonder if they'd be suited for Hufflepuff. But no matter the house they ended up in, it made her long to see Lori and Sam.

Just then, a note suddenly appeared and without having to second guess, Alice knew immediately who it was from. It was from Sam. Without waiting a moment longer, she opened it and began to read what it said...

Alice.. sweet Alice:

I cannot contain how greatly I am awaiting getting to see you again. I know that things were a little hurried when we had dinner in London earlier in the week, but I really do hope that you will think about some of the things that I said to you. I also know that we are going to have a bang of a year, and you know that wherever I go I would like you there. Cheers and see you in the Dale as soon as possible today or tonight.

Alice's tiny hands suddenly clasped the letter tightly against her chest and she let out a soft gasp. Could Sam possibly feel the same way she did? She really couldn't be certain. She knew he sympathized with her situation with her father, but... could he? Did he? She supposed the only way to find out was to let the cards fall where they may. To take that risk. After all, to her... Sam was worth that. He was worth potentially breaking her heart.

With more resolve than ever, Alice knew she had to see Sam sooner than later. The year ahead of them both would definitely prove to be an interesting one and hopefully one full of promise. Suddenly, something caught her eye, a strange hooded figure. It dashed through the station toward the exit with great purpose. Not once did it stop or take pause and once at the exit, a carriage awaited it.

"Odd," Alice whispered to herself. The figure didn't even have to walk to the Carriage Service Station. Instead it, no she, got door-to-door service. Quirking a brow, she wondered who this strange girl was and if she'd be meeting her later on Secondary. Shivering a little, she had a peculiar feeling she would be.

Riku sighed as she picked up her things this was definitely not the way she wanted to start the first year. When the two people came over and helped her out she looked up at them but before she could say thank you they were off. It seemed as if everyone was in a hurry so Riku quickly put everything away and stood up. She was about to make her way to the door when something caught her attention. A girl rushing into a carriage, it struck her as odd but she brushed it off knowing very well that the magical world had odd things occuring all the time.

After the cloaked woman was out of sight Riku made her way to the door and headed toward the school. Her smile had returned and she was excited to be attending Hogwarts Secondary.

She knew that she was getting something of out of the ordinary treatment, and she didn't like it. With her lips pursed in a dower expression, she hoped that special treatment was going to be the way of doing things as far as she were concerned. In many way she didn't want that, as that made her out to be something she was not. She had disdain for the idea, and she would bring it up to the Headmistress that she was not going to allow that. She would refuse to be set out or apart that way. She would fend for herself at this new school, not to be sheltered in any manner.

Alice still wasn't quite sure what to make of the mysterious hooded female, but she was certain she'd find out soon enough once she reached Hogwarts Secondary. But no matter, she was eager now that she'd gotten her letter from Sam. She held onto the tiny piece of parchment and held it against her heart as it pounded beneath her breast. Her mind spun with so many possibilities as she wondered if there was finally a chance that there could indeed be something there. So many times she'd hoped so, but never once did she think it possible. After all, who was she? She'd never thought of herself as anyone much. Sam had his pick of women. They threw themselves at him all the time and why wouldn't they? She was so ordinary in comparison, yet...

Again, Alice read over the letter and she couldn't help but smile. Hope. Tucking it away, she pushed her cart filled with her luggage forward knowing she had to get to the castle sooner than later. Just then, Pippen let out a tiny 'mew'.

"Sorry, Pip, I'm just a bit excited," Alice whispered to her cat. "We'll be seeing our friends soon. "Got a letter from Sam, you know." Again, she smiled.

Pippen just mewed approvingly, which only made Alice laugh. At that, she resumed pushing her cart out of the train station.
