Finally the weekend was here, it was a beautiful Friday morning. Elizabeth had worked long and hard that week, as a bakers intern. This morning she was able to sleep in, and she loved every minute of it, until the warm sun shone on her face waking her from slumber. She yawned and stretched, climbing out of bed to get dressed. Elizabeth put her bra and panties on then, she grabbed her black wrap around dress, tying it in the back. She brushed her red curls out of their knots fixing them. Once finished with her daily routine she went the kitchen to make her and her brother breakfast. They had moved out if their parents house and into their own apartment, making life easier. Her brother was older than her by a year. As she made eggs, bacon, toast, and coffee, she thought whether he had work this Friday or not, either way today would be nice and quiet. Elizabeth set the table, and put the plates down, the newspaper was on his side waiting for him. It was odd at times it seemed Elizabeth was more of a wife than a sister, taking hold of the house chores, when they first moved people thought they were a newly married couple, they looked like they fit that way.

Last night had been a long one for Arthur... A long night indeed, he and the restaurant he worked at had covered nearly a hundred people that night. For a restaurant in the Michelin star ranking that is quite a feat. Arthur hadn't gotten home till three am, well into the morning... but it was quite early when he woke from his brief rest. Truthfully he had already been laying awake in his bed for near an hour before he heard his sister begin milling around in the kitchen. He wondered what she was up to... he debated with his bodies various aches to get up. Even though they were making a fairly compelling case he managed to work himself into a sitting position.
For a moment Arthur sat in that spot and stared at the door. Listening to his sister as she cooked and made the table... he could even work out the sound of her placing the newspaper. A small smile slipping over his features as he could almost vividly imagine her as she did this, because she had done it for them many times before. It was nice living with his sister for she had always been closer to him than anyone else he knew, even their mom and dad who were for lack a better word were rather absent most of their childhood.
As Arthur convinced himself to stand it dawned on him that without his recolection he had managed to tear off all of his cloths before falling asleep last night... "Must have been a hot night" he mumbled as he blinked sleeply and scratched his well toned stomach and chest. His eyes searched for something to wear, spotting a worn pair of jeans he grabbed them and slipped them on... he was unsure rather they were clean or dirty but he also didn't really care.
Arthur walked towards his door and pushed it open, leaving it ajar behind him as he walked out of it and for the kitchen. His emerald green eyes spotting his sister as she sat at her usual spot at the table. "Morning Sis" He said with a smile before turning to the fridge, opening it with one hand as the other reached in and pulled out a beer. After opening it with some random implement from their silverware drawer he proceeded to join her at the table.
"Happy friday off" It was as this point when he sat down in the slightly cold chair that he realized he had forgot to put on a shit, but he simply shrugged it off as he was sure she wouldn't mind.

Elizabeth smiled when she heard her brothers door open, "Morning sleepy head...rough night?" she questioned though she knew the answer, she didn't see him before she went to bed. She saw him reach for the beer, "Little early to start that don't ya think?" she giggled teasing her brother. It didn't really faze her that his shirt was off, they were family so she's seen his chest before, granted it was more toned now. "Happy Friday, Arthur." that answered her question, he wasn't rushing so he did have the day off.  "How are you feeling this morning?" Elizabeth asked kindly as she stood and grabbed their plates, setting them down.

Elizabeth asked kindly as she stood and grabbed their plates, setting them down.

Arthur paused and looked directly at his sister with a mock sort of seriousness... "It ....is never to early for a beer" as said as his fake seriousness was replaced by a Smile.
Arthur was excited for breakfast, his sister was a good cook by anyones standards but todays meal smelled especially delicious.
"I'm a little sore to be quite honest... We did a lot of detailed cleaning last night after and already stressful service. But I'll be ok after breakfast... and a couple beers" He grinned slightly after the last bit of that sentence.
"How about you sis? Everything going well at the bake shop?"

Elizabeth had a mock shocked look on her face, it didn't bother her that her brother drinks, but to her during breakfast was a bit early. She met her brothers smile as he smiled at her. Her smile faded slightly hearing he was sore. She hated when he was hurt, or when anybody close to her was in pain. "...alright then, so long as you promise you're okay.." She stated.
"The Bake Shop...? Oh yeah it's fine, things are good, I got burnt yesterday on sugar...trying to make lollipops to go on a cake for a birthday party. It hurt...but it'll be fine."

Arthur grimaced at the thought of a sugar burn, in his time he had managed to obtain a couple of his own... and as far as burns go they are one of the worst. In fact he believed he still had the scar on his fingers from his.
"Ouch... I hate sugar burns, I got one of those a few months ago and that scar still hasn't gone away. I hope yours wasn't to bad." He said in hopes that his sister hadn't hurt herself to badly.
After Arthur was done talking he proceeded to have a couple bites of his breakfast, paired with a short but tasty swig of beer. A small relaxed sigh escaping him as he then sat back in his chair and looked back across the table at his sister.

Elizabeth started to eat her breakfast taking a couple of bites. "Me too, they really hurt...Nah. It's not too bad I can show you later if you'd like?" She stated, she had wrapped it up to keep it from infections. "It just dripped onto my wrist...It wasn't pleasant." Elizabeth replied. She continued to eat her meal, it wasn't half bad it came out well. "So do you have any plans for your day off?" She asked looking upp at her brother.

"You can if you'd like sis...but it might just be best to keep it wrapped up" Arthur said and the continued to gaze across the table at his sister.
His gaze broke as she asked of his plans...his eyes now gazing out the window and over the beautiful skyline outside their apartment on the 16th floor of a high-rise in Chicago.
"honestly? ... I was thinking I'd hang about and harras my sister" he said before picking up the napkin at his table setting and tossing it over the table at her "And you know... maybe sneaking a swim in there at some point"

Elizabeth nodded her head and smiled softly, "Kay, I have to change the bandage later." She stated taking a sip of her juice. She continued to look at her brother until he looked away, she looked in the same direction to see what he was looking at. Elizabeth was finishing up her meal, she stopped and started to play with fingers. When Arthur spoke she looked in his direction, "Oh really..." She smiled and grabbed the napkin and threw it back at him.

Arthur grinned and dodged the napkin to the left. His eyes staying fixed on his sister as he did.
"Yes really... That is as long as my beloved sister can suffer my company for a little while" He said as he stood up, a small smile remaining on his face as he scratched his fit torso.
"Its been a while since we hung out together.... Theres lots of trouble we've missed getting in together" He sounded very mischievous as he said this... but it was still in fact true. They had not had much time to spend together since they both started working.
"What kind of trouble would you recommend we get in first?

She continued to smile even though he dodged the napkin. "Suffer? I've never suffered from your company...not including when we were younger..I quite actually miss your company." Elizabeth replied. She also stood, getting ready to clean up the table. "Yes with the both of us working hard all of the time We haven't had the time to hang out....I don't get into trouble anymore...you know that." She giggled softly as she began clearing the table. "I don't know what are you up for? I know you are sore, from work."
