Alaister sighed, rolling to his side and pulling his pillow over his head in an attempt to block out all the noise from outside, but to no avail. They had just moved into the mansion a few days before, and so a lot of yard work and moving was still going on. Alaister had hoped he’d be used to all the commotion by now, seeing as how he and his mother moved every other month it seemed, but he never got used to it. He didn’t understand why they couldn’t just stay in one place, but his mom always said it was for his own good… Whatever that meant.
Deciding it was time to get up, Alaister threw the pillow off of his head and onto the bed beside him, slowly forcing himself to sit up and stretch a little just before he heard a knock at the door. He arched a brow, curious to know who it could be since his mom never nocked.
“Come in.” As he gave whoever it was permission to enter the room, a young woman walked in with a basket of clean sheets and the like. “Excuse me, but if you’re awake now, I’d like to tidy up your room.” The woman said, her voice. Then Al remembered what else was happening today – the maids and butlers that his mom had hired were moving in. They had their own building, kind of like a dorm, separate from the actual mansion. His mom had told him the day before that they would be moving in and starting their work today.
Al glanced around his room, and after realizing that it was in need of repair, he nodded at her and slid out of bed. His short and shaggy pale blonde hair was a mess, to say the least. Being wealthy, he had had butlers and maids his whole life, and his mother made sure he never really had to do anything for himself. She spoiled him rotten, but he wasn’t complaining, because being spoiled was all he knew. His pajama pants were loose and slid down a bit as he stood, revealing the hem of his black boxers, and his pajama top was misbuttoned, as he had been forced to button it himself the night before due to the lack of a butler to help him do it the night before.
Tiredly, the half-asleep boy exited the room and looked around, noting that the move was coming along quite well. A lot of the stuff was already unpacked and placed decoratively throughout the house. Still, he had to duck and weave through crowds of people who were busy unpacking and decorating the mansion until he found what, or who, he was looking for. A man who, at least from behind, looked like he was one of the new butlers his mother had hired.
So, walking right up to him from behind, Alaister reached up, grabbed the back of the man’s suite gently, and gave two small tugs to try and get his attention.
“Excuse me… You work here, right? Will you prepare me a bath?” As he spoke, his light green eyes curiously peeked up at the back of the man's head, wondering as to what the butler's face looked like.
